It looks like the recent Apple Music App overhaul for Monterey 12.2 and/or iOS 15 update broke things sadly. :( ### 4/5 — Works well *2021-08-19, version 2.1.1* what would make it a five star app is the abiltiy to send and entire album/playlist between devices. If I'm listening to an album and send the current song to another device I don't want to have to pull the album to keep it playing after the current song ends. ### 1/5 — Does not work *2020-10-19, version 2.0.3* Does not work, even when using downloaded songs. Annoying, because I listen to a mix of both, and a huge limitations for an app I specifically bought to be able to use with Apple Music. ### 4/5 — Works Great! *2019-10-10, version 2.0* PlayOff works great so far. It connects quickly and keeps playing music without having to fumble around changing devices and even keeps your place in the song! Martin ### 4/5 — Nice to see someone do this again. *2019-03-14* It’s amazing people seem to forget that seamless did this nearly 10 years ago. I’m very pleased to see a new app pick up the torch though. At least until Apple Sherlock’s it into handoff. Two things that would make it even better: 1. Cross fade the tracks between devices (seamless did this perfectly). 2. The first time I tried it out, iTunes popped up an error about having multiple streams playing and told me to purchase a family subscription. Better if those don’t come up, but sadly it also makes me think my first suggestion may be technically impossible. ### 2/5 — Not working *2019-03-05* Great app idea but the app doesn’t work. Pairing process goes fine, but when I tap on a device in the iPhone app, it says Item Unavailable even though it’s in my music library. Martin ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Crashes on launch *2023-05-09* Crashes on launch on my iPhone 13 Pro, fully up to date app and iOS. ### 1/5 — I should have read the reviews… *2023-01-24* Unfortunately this only works with (downloaded) songs that are in the device’s library. Don’t buy this if you want to use it with Apple Music (streaming). ### 1/5 — Wish I could say it worked, but… *2022-05-04, version 2.1.1* …no dice. Installed on both my M1 Mac and iPhone 12 mini, and they’re paired, but…it just doesn’t work. Fails in a few different ways, but I can’t handoff Apple Music between my Mac and iPhone. 😕🤷🏼‍♂️ ### 1/5 — Does not work at all *2021-11-03, version 2.1.1* This app does not work at all with iOS 15 and either MacOS Big Sur or Monterey. You can pair the other device, but no playlist information will sync.
