## What is PlayPinDrop?

Five pins. Two minutes. One new set of places every day.

PinDrop is a daily geography game. Each day you get five locations and drop a pin where you think each one is. The closer you land, the more points you score. Your results come back as a shareable card, so you can compare with friends and argue about who really knew where Ljubljana was.

ELEVEN GAMES, ONE APP

Start with the Global game, then pick whichever board you like:

Global, for anywhere on earth
Chicago, New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco and Ireland, for people who know their streets
College Football and Pro Sports, built around real moments from real games
Footy, for the grounds of world soccer
Acquired, for the places behind the companies
Wayfinder, where you follow a historical expedition across an antique map and work out where it was heading

Every game is its own daily. Play one or play all eleven.

KEEP YOUR STREAK

Play each day and your streak grows. Miss a day and you lose it, which is why Streak Shields exist: earn one and it covers a missed day for you. Your streak, history and past games follow you across your phone and the web, so a day played on a laptop still counts.

PLAY WITH PEOPLE

Create a private group and get a leaderboard just for your family, your office or your group chat. Everyone plays the same five locations, so the comparison is real.

WHEN YOU WANT MORE

Practice mode gives you unlimited rounds with no effect on your streak, filtered by region if you want to drill somewhere specific. The archive lets you replay any past day you missed and review every round you have ever played, pin by pin.

NO ACCOUNT NEEDED TO PLAY

Jump straight in. Sign in only if you want your streak and history saved across devices, with Apple, Google or a magic link.

PinDrop started as a game built for one family and launched on a parents' anniversary, with locations that meant something to them. It is now played by thousands of people every day, all over the world.

### 4/5 — Ad is in the way

*2026-08-18*

I like these games. My only issue is that there’s an ad banner along the bottom of the screen that makes it impossible to read the entire clue in the wayfinder game or to submit your answer. Makes that game completely unplayable.

**Developer response:** Thanks so much for the review and thank you for bringing up the issue with Wayfinder. I'm actively working on getting that fixed and make sure the game is playable for you. I apologize but hope to have you back up and playing soon.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.2.5 — 2026-08-28

Fixed a bug that stopped the results screen from appearing afterfinishing a game in several city and sports modes. Your score was always saved, you just could not see it.
Hints no longer cover the map. You can drag the clue panel out of the way, and scroll it when there is more to read.
Fixed the College Football icon failing to load.
The streak shown on your results card now matches the home screen.

### 1.2.4 — 2026-08-25

See where your group dropped their pins.

On the results map, switch on Group pins to see everyone else's guess for a round next to your own. Pick a round to compare, tap a name to hide or show them, and if you're in more than one group, choose which one you're looking at.

Also in this update:
• Past days in your archive now show that day's average instead of today's, so you can compare your score against the day you actually played.
• Turning off reminders in your profile now sticks. It was switching itself back on the next time you opened the app.
• Fixed a bug that could end a game after four rounds. If it happens now, you go back to the round you missed instead of losing the day.

### 1.2.3 — 2026-08-23

Your game now follows you between devices. Start on your phone, finish on a laptop, and your progress carries over as long as you're signed in.
Fixed an ad banner that could sit over the clue and the answer button in Wayfinder, which made that game very hard to play. Thanks to the reviewer who flagged it.
The results map now fits both pins on screen every time, so you can always see how far off you were.
And a new UK game arrives 26 August: four nations, 300 locations, from city centres to castles and coastline.

### 1.2.2 — 2026-08-20

Group owners can now download their group's full history as an Excel file, right from the group menu. Every date and score since the group started, plus the round by round detail: all five locations each day, what everyone scored, and how long each guess took.
Daily reminders now actually arrive. If you turned notifications on and never got one, that was our fault and it is fixed. You do not need to do anything, or turn anything on again.

Also fixed a layout problem where an ad could sit over the links and buttons at the bottom of the home and results screens.

### 1.2.1 — 2026-08-18

Your score now shows up in group comparisons the moment you finish, instead of appearing a while later.
Location clues got more precise. Museums, stadiums, theaters and studios now say what they are, where a lot of them used to just say "attraction". A few San Francisco spots were renamed to name the actual branch rather than the brand, so a familiar chain no longer sends you to the wrong one.

Thanks to the players who wrote in about both of these.
