IVE using this app across 8 years. Great for beginners. Wish there were updates and that I could continue my writing across different devices. The only real issue I've ever had with it is the lack of cloud storage or backup. I lost quite a bit of work some months ago when my IPad crashed. So an option to backup or save files to Dropbox would be useful. Wish it was supported by IOS 10. ### 4/5 — Love this app has a few bugs *2016-10-27* This is a great app for writing place and Scripts but it has a few bugs it does everything I want it to do but occasionally it'll delete a character description and it prompts you every day every time you open the app to give them a review which can be a little annoying but it is awesome at putting your script in PDF form and being able to email it directly from your phone ### 4/5 — Good *2016-10-02* Thank you for developing this program. ### 4/5 — A few things *2015-11-25* I love this app but you can't write musicals as there is no feature in the script to put in songs. Also whenever I close the app, one of the character names changes back into "new character". But apart from that I love this app and I use it all the time. ### 4/5 — Good despite shortcomings *2015-07-08* A good play writing tool I am able to use effectively on Ipad for writing a Seven act, 44 Scene play with about 120 characters. Shortcomings: 1. There should be a way to pre-define Props, Music and Lighting controls like characters and scenes so that they can be cataloged like list of characters and scenes. 2. I wish there is a way to get a mapping of scene-character, Character-Scene etc in formatting. 3. I wish there was a way to generate sides. ### 4/5 — I love it!!! *2015-06-01* It's a great app! Otherwise, LOVE THIS APP CUZ I💖🎭!!! ### 3/5 — Gorgeous app but PLEASE remove the prompt *2014-04-22* When I saw the app in the store, I was pleased because this is just what I was looking for. I downloaded it and have been using it to write my scripts. I love that you can email and share your script in the format that it's in. The reason that I did not rate this five stars, and it something that has been driving me insane, is because of the prompt that comes up every time I go into the app that says "Rate this app, remind me later, or no thanks" I opted for remind me later because I wanted to try the application a little more before actually gave it a fair rating. However, when the app is running or every time I go back to it that same prompt keeps popping up before I can actually use it. The other annoying thing, is that every time I make a decision to rate the app, it takes me to another app and I'm unable to rate the app so that the prompt can cease. Though I greatly enjoy this application, that bug is enough to make me want to look elsewhere for a script writing application. ### 4/5 — 그저그래요 *2014-03-10* 극본 쓰긴 좋지만 시날 쓰기는 쩝 ### 2/5 — Works But the format is wrong *2014-02-20* I love the idea and the ease of use. But the format is wrong for a play script. ### 2/5 — Too many bugs *2014-02-11* After writing a complete scene, adding characters, locations etc I found out that scene 2 crashes whenever it's used. Very frustrating as up to that point it appeared to be an excellent app. I contacted the developers regarding the problem many months ago but it appears they cannot solve it. I've since moved on to the very expensive but excellent final draft writer. Would be very cool if they ever fix the bugs. ### 1/5 — Stop making me rate you! *2014-07-24* It's annoying and I can't it take me to another app! ### 1/5 — Deletes Content? *2014-05-21* This app looks like exactly what I need. However, it doesn't work the way it should. Any time you close the app, or open a different script you're working on (I often work on multiple scripts at a time) it deletes all the characters and scenes you've personalized for that script. I spent a ton of time filling out character descriptions for my one act, only to come back and find everything I'd done gone! Maybe it's just my version? But I am honestly disappointed. I've uninstalled and reinstalled the app, but all I got was a waste of money. It seems to work for some people, and it makes me sad I'm not one of those people! Half the screen seems to go missing and has kicked me out when pressed export.. ### 1/5 — Frustrated... *2013-01-02, version 1.0* I had the same issues with the dialogue box, I was so ready to just begin writing a great story... Totally lost my spirit to write... Waste of money and more importantly TIME. ### 1/5 — Fix Glitches! *2012-11-27, version 1.0* This app is great for writing plays. However, there are a few glitches. For example, when opening a saved play, the dialogue is out of sequence. Also, sometimes it won't allow scrolling through the dialogue box. If these concerns are addressed, this app would rate five stars. It is fun to use. Until then one star is the best we can do. Please update this app with these fixes! ### 1/5 — Play writing *2012-04-29* This application needs to be reworked. The idea is good but it does not work in the script text handling. It looses it ambles in the lines numbers and in the scrolling of the page. So my recommendation is do not buy it! ### 2/5 — Stop Spamming Me to Rate It *2014-05-06* :P It doesn't even pop up the right app when you agree to rate it. I am still getting used to the app right now. I love it! ### 5/5 — Perfect *2019-05-16* Just what I was looking for. A very user friendly app to write plays in and it has plenty of extra features. I only wish you could transfer your script from one device to the other and sync them. ### 5/5 — Great, needs update. *2017-09-19* I am a user of your playwriter app. I enjoy it greatly but after the recent software update on apple products I have found that the app is not currently compatible with iOS11. I looked into it on my iPad but have found no solution and so I was told the next best option would be to contact you directly about an update. I want to keep using your product because I believe it is fantastic so I hope there is a solution quickly that can be made. But this, THIS, is the perfect app. For one of my projects we had to write and shoot a movie. I thought quickly and used this app because i had downloaded it years ago and never used it. I got an A+ on that paper! i started using this app more frequently after that. Rather than dealing with a bunch of formatting, this provides directions and dialogue for each character, flexibility. It is pretty sweet. Plus I am emailing a PDF, or can print from iPad directly. I am a teacher and am writing my class's script (with their ideas and characters). I am super satisfied! ### 5/5 — Good but.... *2013-08-29* I love this app and use it all the time but unfortunately I think there must be a bug or virus constantly in is app as recently for the last couple of months the app will not let me view the full script. Once I click on the full preview it goes strait t my home screen and will only let me view individual scenes.
