### 3/5 — Video loading issues

*2026-05-03, version 2.1.31*

I am a plus member and have access to all content but many videos just don’t load in the phone app. Same tried from the website works. So feels like an app issue. The content is very useful, if this issue can be resolved then I can rate it better.

### 2/5 — Good Idea Bad Form

*2026-04-16, version 2.1.31*

Lots of potential for apps like these, but it’s trying to sucker people into pricey subscriptions. You have to pay for a subscription to do anything in the app, wasted time and gave them my info just to delete the app. Total waste of time. Someone should get a free version of something similar going using adds. I get marketing to the wealthy, but I think a free version would be much better received and more readily adopted. There are tons of small towns where it’s not worth using if you can’t get it to be popular enough for people to utilize it. Can’t even find people to practice against without paying ridiculous subscription cost, poor form. Think long term?

### 2/5 — Not free

*2026-03-22, version 2.1.31*

You have to pay for every single feature

### 2/5 — Great intention, so many Technical issues

*2026-01-09, version 2.1.31*

I have met plenty of players and partners to play tennis with, but the app is extremely annoying. It is really hard to find anything. It shuts down a lot and a lot of stuff just randomly don’t work. I’ve reached out to Support a few times and never received any help.

### 2/5 — Glitchy

*2025-12-20, version 2.1.31*

Cool idea but glitchy

### 1/5 — Trash

*2025-12-04, version 2.1.30*

If you love to spend 5 minutes re-entering your personal info and location EVERY TIME you open the app, then this app is for you. If you’re a normal person who thinks apps should work properly then AVOID this app at all costs. Total trash and waste of time.

### 1/5 — Doesn’t work

*2025-11-10, version 2.1.30*

No active community in Jacksonville Fl

### 1/5 — Experience

*2025-10-25, version 2.1.30*

This app is one of the worst apps I’ve interacted with. Every single feature was “members only” (7.99 btw) I couldn’t do absolutely nothing without paying & every time the app closed I had to re do my entire application again.

### 1/5 — A scam

*2025-10-14, version 2.1.29*

Buggy and unreliable

### 1/5 — Awful.

*2025-10-05, version 2.1.29*

This app is among the worst I’ve ever interacted with. I love the idea and the theory of local tennis matchmaking online, but it’s almost unbearable to even try. The app crashes all the time. Makes you re-login and onboard yourself every time you open the app. The messaging is so bad, I’ve resorted to just putting my phone number on my profile. The buttons to update or profile or update your profile picture (among others) are non responsive. You press them and nothing happens. The filtering feature to only show players of your skill level and location preference doesn’t even work.

To the creators: This app has so much potential, but you’ve executed miserably. I hope you fix the bugs and make some updates soon.

### 1/5 — Bad app

*2025-09-28, version 2.1.29*

Advertised as free. When you try to click anything they try to sell you a membership. The app overall is really bad

### 1/5 — Awful

*2025-09-26, version 2.1.29*

Non existent players in my area after I purchased the app. Keeps logging off. Not user friendly. Don’t see any value

### 1/5 — terrible interface

*2025-09-16, version 2.1.28*

troublesome ui

### 1/5 — So many bugs

*2025-09-12, version 2.1.28*

I signed up through my apple ID and paid the subscription, first off I was not able to look for any partners since it would not let me choose my level and the screen would just go gray. And after a fee hours I tried to sign in through the same apple ID and it literally give me a string error. I’m no cs expert but that’s pretty foul.

### 1/5 — Terrible app

*2025-09-07, version 2.1.28*

Login did not work for a year, but subscription was renewed, I couldn’t even log in to cancel it

### 1/5 — Cant do anything without paying for premium

*2025-09-02, version 2.1.28*

Can barely access any features with free version.

### 1/5 — Doesn’t work

*2025-08-27, version 2.1.28*

Terrible functioning app. Notifications don’t work, messaging barely works, scheduling is clunky.

Shame, because it’s a great idea, and very fixable issues !

### 1/5 — Can’t cancel

*2025-08-22, version 2.1.28*

There is no way to cancel

### 1/5 — App does not work

*2025-08-09, version 2.1.28*

The software is atrocious. So many bugs, can’t even re-sign in for an app I paid for, update preferences, or find a lesson. Don’t waste your money.

### 1/5 — Terrible App

*2025-08-03, version 2.1.28*

I am seriously confused on how this app has any positive reviews. Maybe they are bots? I should have read and listened to the bad ones before getting it. The advertising sold me and I am excited about playing tennis. Sadly this app does not deliver. Nothing works as it should and is extremely clunky. I really need to get my money back. Def not worth it.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Waste of time

*2026-08-30, version 2.1.31*

Pricey subscription to do anything in the app and not that many people even on it. There are multiple basic bugs that are terrible. Can’t even update my profile with which level I’m on.

### 1/5 — SCAM.

*2026-08-22, version 2.1.31*

Bought one lesson pack off an IG ad. Got signed up for a trial. Cancelled the trial immediately. Three weeks later I get randomly charged $400+. Check Reddit and others to see how common this is with this website and app. Disgraceful.

### 1/5 — Can’t do anything without paying

*2026-07-29, version 2.1.31*

You need a membership to use any of the features.

### 1/5 — Super buggy and will resubscribe you

*2026-07-21, version 2.1.31*

The app never even let me get past selecting my level much less reaching got to people to play. I canceled it a year ago and just found out they have been charging me this whole time despite their records showing I cancelled it in 2025. Another scam in Apple Store that just steals peoples money.

### 1/5 — Not a “community,” a gatekeeper

*2026-06-07, version 2.1.31*

Pickleball is taking over tennis courts and growing rapidly in popularity because of how accessible it is. Now you take something like this app which should encourage people to play this amazing sport, yet instead it’s just a sad cash grab at every turn. So much wasted potential all locked behind paywalls. Tennis deserves better than this garbage.

### 1/5 — Useless without subscribing

*2026-05-04, version 2.1.31*

I really despise apps that force you to give all sorts of information, including name, location, and birthday only for you to find out later that pretty much everything useful is locked behind a pay way. You really wasted my time letting me set up a full account and then to say pay us $60 a year or this app is useless. I’m not paying that to find tennis partners when so many apps and websites do this for free. No thanks. Deleted

### 1/5 — Dead app

*2026-03-22, version 2.1.31*

Don't pay for the membership. You will not meet anyone. No one uses this app and those that do have posts from weeks ago. I live in a city too.

### 1/5 — They steal your money

*2026-02-19, version 2.1.31*

I had made an account a couple of years ago and purchased the year long membership. I was never able to access any of my membership benefits so I tried to cancel and they make it impossible to do so. The app crashes every time I tap the membership screen. They continue to charge me 60+ dollars a year and I still can’t even access the membership. Don’t get this app it will never be worth your time.

### 1/5 — Not Worth It

*2026-02-13, version 2.1.31*

This app is now rife with scammers trying to get your personal information. They appear as players, and spam you with messages, but eventually ask for your contact information. It is too much work to sift through the real messages from the fake ones.

### 1/5 — Subscription Cancellation Problems

*2025-12-11, version 2.1.30*

I joined Play Your Court with a trial promo. I was able to meet another player once, but there weren’t many players in my area. I experienced some technical issues/bugs, though most of them I could work around.
However, one issue was particularly burdensome: I was mistakenly subscribed to—and charged for—the premium plan, and I’m still not sure how it happened. Support helped the first time, but the same issue occurred again. Even after unsubscribing, the portal continued to display my account as if I were still subscribed. I never have subscription issues.
It took numerous (and I mean 10 or more) conversations with support to seek a resolution, and their posture and responses left me seriously questioning the company’s integrity when it comes to subscription management. Now that I am reading reviews and realizing that this is a reoccurring issue, I feel convinced that they are acting deceptively by keeping it difficult to end subscriptions purposefully.

### 5/5 — Honest Review ❤️

*2022-04-17, version 1.1.1*

I have been using the platform PlayYourCourt for 2 years now. I started as a complete beginner. I watched a video that said that all you need to improve your tennis is to commit and so I did. Since I Joined I have played over 60 matches and today I won runner up @ my first USTA tournament at 3.5 NTRP. Don’t be shy everyone on the app/platform (PlayYourCourt.com) is there because they want to play tennis so just msg everyone you see has a post about wanting to play. NATE AND SCOTT have so many videos categorized by level and technic, they are there for all of us just put in the effort to analyze and get on the court to practice. If it wasn’t for this platform I wouldn’t be as invested into the game I love so much today. Plus you get 20% off @Wilson. I stopped using Walmart racquets when I committed to the game and saved over 40 bucks just there. I’m always buying stuff from Wilson and feel special bc of PYC and their great partnership they have w/Wilson. Anyways just enjoy the game and PYC is a one stop see all platform they even have coaches to come to your court for lessons. I’m only writing this review bc I’m truly appreciative to PYC and the friends I’ve made in Florida and Connecticut. Happy HITTING !

### 5/5 — Brilliant app with active user base

*2022-02-27, version 1.6*

Before using this app I struggled to find a single person to play tennis with - now I have the opposite problem! More people that want to play tennis with me than time I have to play tennis. Highly recommend the app.

### 5/5 — THE APP for people who love tennis

*2021-08-18*

Finally, an app that actually is good for the game of tennis. It brings it all together. Looking for a match, instruction, shopping, or a practice partner? It’s all here. New to town, just visiting, or looking for someone new to crush? Find your next match right here.

### 5/5 — Best thing for local tennis wherever you are

*2021-08-17, version 1.4*

Full instruction, a way to meet new people and practice those newly learned skills, this app is your best friend for tennis. It’s an amazing resource to have if you even empty interested in reusing your game!

### 5/5 — Quality

*2021-08-17, version 1.4*

Questionable bearded guys offering not questionable tennis advice and matchmaking. Keep up the good work

### 5/5 — About time - take notes USTA

*2021-07-22*

What USTA league and app lack this App has in Spades. About time you have an amazing app that brings other tennis players together locally and properly matches them based on strength as opposed to sandbag USTA players. Plus with the amazing teachers and content. Loveeeeeeeee this and it is great for the game! Cheers.
