## Most critical reviews (8 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Good but no option for single player

*2014-05-12*

You are forced to play two player which causes my daughter confusion and as a result she gets letters like p and b mixed up because she sees them upright and upside down simultaneously. If this app had a single player option it would eliminate the confusion and be better for beginners. Then I'd give it 5 stars

### 2/5 — Ms

Disappointing. Only one game - kids get bored pretty quickly. Needs more variety using the same blending skill.

### 3/5 — Not so hot

*2015-05-22*

I was expecting a bit more from this app, make me wonder how much input Ms.Riggs had in creation of this app. I purchased the app because they said there was an American accent, it's there but it doesn't work. I will not purchase the other apps.

### 5/5 — Excellent app

Great app and highly recommend it to everyone!

### 5/5 — Love it

*2014-05-17*

We have purchased 20 of these apps for our Pre primary iPads. We love the two player aspect and the fact that there is no option for 1 player. This is unique to this app and I love it because the children actually communicate and engage with one another as they play. I also like the 2 player aspect as an adult can interact with the child, teaching to point of error and prompting. In this way the ipad is simply a vehicle to motivate and engage the learner and is not left to be the teacher.

### 5/5 — Tara D

This perfectly compliments the use of the Diana Rigg literacy strategy in my classroom. I find this particularly useful for struggling students who are struggling to develop phonological awareness. It can be played by two students or with an adult and the student as a fun conclusion to a session or as a brain break.

### 5/5 — Simply Superb

*2014-04-28*

This fantastic app actually teaches phoneme to grapheme correspondences rather than merely testing reading skills. The simple no nonsense approach means that time is well used. Being able to have two players is a bonus and increases student motivation to succeed. It is a fabulous adjunct to other PLD products and students are excited to see familiar images and content on the ipad. Excellent value for students with Specific Learning Difficulties who may be overwhelmed by complex graphics. Mary Height

### 5/5 — My 4yo son loves this app - the phonics really help his reading

*2014-04-17*

One of the things that really impressed me with this app was that my son wanted me to play it with him!

The phonic sounds are paced really well to ensure he took time to read the letters and sounds.
