Username / password are rejected despite being correct, even after uninstall / reinstall of app. This is squarely for the developers to fix. Please upgrade the app accordingly, patients’ ease, health records, and record-keeping are in the balance here!! ### 1/5 — Wonky *2022-01-26* Doesn’t “remember” my password so I have to enter every time. As above, will not allow me to log in when I gave the correct password. Very frustrating, ### 1/5 — GUI ok *2022-01-15* ...now if it only worked and also not login me out continuously. ### 1/5 — Very poor support app will not login *2021-05-02* I have been using this app for several weeks. Now it will not login with the known correct password. I am not able to reset password. I am not able to create a new account. I have completely wiped app from device and reinstalled with no help. Also downloaded it to two additional devices I am still unable to login. I have called the support number several times and all I get is a run around with several people telling me that that’s not their department. The app would be a very useful tool if it were actually to work. Please provide better support. ### 1/5 — Hasn’t logged in in days, won’t give us a link to replace password *2021-04-30* This was working wonderfully until about 3-4 days ago. Now, it won’t log me in (even though I know it’s the correct password and email), and won’t send me a link to set a new password if I do select “forgot password” to try to circumvent the issue. I haven’t been able to log any PleurX catheter drains in days, and I have no idea if the app will ever work again for us, and no customer service to contact to address the app issue. Not sure what’s gone wrong, but it seems to be on the developer end. I’ve tried the app on several different devices and am running into the same problem every time. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Inop *2025-05-17* Doesn’t work on my iPad can’t enter quantity have to use my phone. And it won’t save the password have to enter there high security password every time I go into it. **Developer response:** Thanks for the comment. We value your feedback and based on this review we believe you may have toggled on multi-factor authentication (MFA) which does require a secondary step for login (for security purposes). From the hamburger menu you could elect to toggle this off to eliminate the secondary (enhanced security) step during login. Furthermore, biometric login has been made available on the application and if you choose to enable it, you can login with FaceID vs. password entry. Regarding the functionality of the iPad, we need some help to identify what iPad and iOS versions you are running so we can test them appropriately. Thank you for helping us improve the app! ### 1/5 — Inop *2025-04-02* Was working fine now won’t let me enter the quantity drained ### 1/5 — Scared to use *2025-02-14* All the other negative reviews - I was going to still give it a shot then I tried to have 2 entries for the same day because the doctor asked me to drain twice a day for the first couple of days. Such a simple thing and the app blocked me from more than one entry per day. All three concerns should be functional. ### 1/5 — Doesn’t always update your input *2023-05-04* Works sometimes. 50% fail. I recommend always taking the photo with phone camera outside of this app. I’ve had to delete and re-install this app several times and try to enter data from days where it failed to hold the inputs. Tried to show the pulmonary team the records and all we saw was the filling PLEURX bottle animation for 5 min. Big bust. Thank you! ### 1/5 — Do NOT use this app *2022-12-06* I thought I could successfully store all my mom’s pleural effusion drain info on the app. On the 6th day it stopped working. We lost the previous 5 days of data. We were not wise enough to write it down on a paper log so we have only 1 day of data to provide her Pulmonologist. Shame on PleurX for taking advantage of us. Traci and team ### 4/5 — More accurate drainage amount *2025-12-12* The app doesn’t allow you to put the proper drainage amount. My drainage could be 325 and it doesn’t allow to chart that amount . We need to be able to chart accurate amounts. Username is remembered which is good, but filling in the saved password takes 2-3 tries and sometimes redirects to things I don’t even understand. Would love to open and authenticate with Face ID to speed up login. ### 3/5 — Updates *2025-11-14* Would be a 5 star but left me high and dry trying to update the app. Had to delete and reinstall. BD PleurX Team ### 3/5 — Update *2022-10-14* The crashing I experienced appears to be related to a glitch in the app - if you don't update every item, save the data, and then LOG OUT there is a high risk of a subsequent crash that requires deletion and reinstalling. If you log out every single time it appears to be far more reliable. ### 3/5 — App stopped working *2022-04-28* I had the exact same problem logging in. It won’t accept my password or let me continue. I’ve tried forgot password and create an account. There is no response on the password and create an account wouldn’t let me past accepting terms.
