Es fehlen extrem viele Funktionen, die heute Standard sind. Das wichtigste Teil, was mir persönlich fehlt, ist die deutsche Übersetzung. This was possible when photos were part of the main Plex app, for some bizarre this feature was removed from the Plex Photos spin-off app, seemingly never to return. The rating only stays within the app. I might as well use others photo tools now and keep my photos on the cloud because we know this is currently useless. You cannot even download or share your photos from the app! ————————— Horrible decision by Plex to remove access to photo libraries from the main app. I don’t want a second app just for photos. The original Plex app was good. It is beyond stupid to force your users to download something else just to access their photo libraries. In the time i’ve used Plex there was definitely a golden age. But it’s obvious that whoever took the reins in the last few years is festering with greed. They seemed to have forgotten their roots. This app is evidence of that. You can’t even download your own photos/videos in full res. It’s been a long time coming but glad now that it has finally arrived and is stable and usable, both locally and remotely. There’s an issue displaying 1920x1080 videos. It’s distorted and doesn’t permit screen rotation. Mai 2025 ist die App endlich vernünftig. Ich bin vor einigen Wochen auf die App immich umgestiegen, weil Plex Photos nicht brauchbar war. Es gab sofortige Abstürze und nette Fehlermeldungen.
