Auf dem ipad gelingt keine Verbindung zum jellyfin server. Folderanzeige fehlt. Auf Empfehlung eines anderen Users nochmal alles neu installiert. Verbindungen funktionieren jetzt. Was bei mir nicht geht: Auf der Startseiten werden die Mediatheken nicht angezeigt trotz Einstellung Start—Mediatheken. The ONLY thing missing is the option to use the native keyboard or somehow bring in the Siri Remote search. If I just click to spot I want to go to it works fine tho and is extremely fast. Please fix this one issue. It would also be nice if yall added Seerr integration. Works great with both kinds of servers. Fantastic though in general. Update: Blown away by how fast the tvOS app has been created. That said could do with some polish - seems to be a bug where clicking the central remote button causes the highlighted item to jump back to the previous item. Still would love to view movies and TV thumbs instead of posters (Jellyfin) :D ### 4/5 — Nice and fast *2026-05-26* I’ve been using Infuse as an alternative for a few years, but Plezy is lightening fast. Interface is clean and simple. There’s a slight issue at the moment where it won’t load Collections but the developer says that will be fixed in the next update. It solve two problems that have plagued the Plex client since the most recent Plex Server updates. First, the Live TV function works with iOS and iPad OS. I thought this was a lost cause, since the issue has been reported by multiple people to Plex for over 8 months and there is no consistent fix. This app brings this function back! The second this is performance. The current Plex current seems slow to load content, even on a fast network and all the settings properly set. This used to work well before the most recent Plex server upgrades. In any case, the performance is excellent and the loading is very fast. Overall, the app works well and is easy to use. I took a chance buying the app hoping that it would be an improvement over the regular Plex app and, sure enough, it was. Thanks for developing this and keeping it updated. In addition to an iPad, I use this on my Apple Vision Pro. It would be nice if it was a native AVP app, but it seems to work just fine, especially when I need Live TV. For 3D movies and full AVP support I use ScreenLit. ### 5/5 — Fantastic *2026-04-20* This app is just about to be perfect. When the next iteration makes it way from github to the app store, it will be perfect. Once we get the picture in picture/minimized play to be able to do continuous play while still minimized, I never need a different Plex app again. It's already leaps and bounds better than the utterly useless official Plex app, but it literally becomes perfect in one more iteration. Every addition after that is just bonus. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — keyboard - not a good experience *2026-06-20* Tried this on tvOS and not to a good start. Keyboard is not the standard apple keyboard. For someone who connects to apple tv via iphone to input username/password with remote keyboard it won’t work. that’s a deal breaker for me especially when using secure passwords that are stored in password manager. **Developer response:** I'd suggest using quick connect for Jellyfin. For Plex, sign in is done via a QR code and you sign in with another device. ### 1/5 — Terrible experience *2026-06-17* Apple TV app is terrible. UI glitches, app freezes and skips during UI navigation, search function doesn’t work 90% of the time, you can’t search with Siri via the remote. I paid $10 for this and it’s a complete waste of money. Please refund the money. **Developer response:** Most likely your server has a bandwidth limit, which means it'll refuse to send the original file for playback if it exceeds that limit. Some inconsistency in the GUI as well, sometimes pick a movie and it plays right away, other times it goes to a home page for the movie or show. I would say, not really worth the money. Turns out the app was updated before my purchase to change the UI. The very UI I bought the app for. Now I’m stuck with an app that is no better than the official Plex app as my request for refund has been denied. Ps. With the recent news of Plex announcing crackdown of blocking remote access without subscription, perhaps one of the most enticing feature of this app is fated to doom. **Developer response:** Hello! The UI had to be changed to better accommodate collections, playlists and hubs for libraries. If you have a suggestion on how to better design this without compromising features, please open an issue on the GitHub. As for Plex announcing changes to remote viewing, I don't see how they could possibly implement it. ### 1/5 — Crashes every time within 30 seconds of opening. *2025-11-22, version 1.7.3* Whether I try to play a video or not, the app crashes within 5-30 second of opening. Doesn’t have any bloat. Works on both phones and computers. Finally, a solid alternative with a good UI since the Plex app has been in decline the last year. Love that this app brings back the watch together feature for friends out of town. I was having an issue that it wouldn’t play the next episode unless I got out of it first, but the new update has fixed that. I also like that the update brought back the ability to look at my library under date added.
