## What is Plinthio?

Plinthio is a native player for the media server you run yourself. Sign in to a Plinthio server or a Jellyfin server and your whole library is there: movies, shows and anime, manga and comics, books and audiobooks, on iPhone, iPad and Mac.

WATCH
• Direct play when your device can, a stream converted on the server when it can't, with a quality cap for slow connections
• Pick up where you left off, on any device, with progress synced both ways
• Skip intros and credits, scrub with preview thumbnails, chapter marks on the timeline
• Subtitles you can style (size, colour, outline or box) and audio tracks in your language
• AirPlay, Picture in Picture, lock-screen and keyboard controls
• Up Next for the following episode, and watch parties with friends on a Plinthio server

READ
• Comics and manga right to left, left to right or as a webtoon, one page or two, with pinch zoom
• EPUB books with themes, fonts, search, bookmarks and highlights with notes, kept in step with Plinthio's web reader
• PDFs with contents and bookmarks

LISTEN
• Audiobooks with chapters, a speed for each book, a sleep timer that fades out, and bookmarks
• Lock-screen, Control Center and headphone controls, and AirPlay to your speakers

TAKE IT WITH YOU
• Download films, whole series or single episodes, books, comics and audiobooks, and play them offline; your progress syncs when you're back online

MAKE IT YOURS
• Dark, light or system appearance, six dark themes including true black for OLED, and sixteen accent colours
• Choose and order the rows on Home: Continue Watching, Next Up, Because You Watched, Watch Again, Recently Released and more
• Posters or a list, tall or wide cards, a sidebar or tab bar on iPad and Mac

FOR FAMILIES
• Kids Mode with a PIN and a rating limit for Jellyfin accounts; Plinthio's own per-person Kids Mode is respected everywhere

AND MORE
• Several servers at once, Plinthio and Jellyfin side by side, with an All Servers page that brings them together
• Lists, requests and the review queue on Plinthio; playlists on Jellyfin; requests through Seerr or Jellyseerr
• Editor and admin tools for Plinthio server owners

Plinthio needs a media server: Plinthio (free and self-hosted) or Jellyfin 10.10 or later. It doesn't include or sell any content, and it talks only to the servers you add: no accounts with us, no ads, no tracking.

“Films shown: Blender Studio open movies (CC BY, blender.org). Books and comics shown are in the public domain.”
