## What is Pliny Life?

Some days the problem is not motivation. It is that everything needing your attention is scattered across email, letters, documents and half-remembered conversations, and none of it tells you what to do next.

Pliny reads those sources, finds the dates and obligations buried in them, and turns them into one plan for today. Not a backlog. A short, bounded list that fits the hours you actually have.

TODAY, NOT EVERYTHING
A handful of tasks, chosen by what is due, how demanding it is, and how long it takes. The rest is held safely out of sight until it matters.

ONE NEXT SMALL STEP
Every task opens on a first tiny step and a 5, 15 or 25 minute block. When you are stuck, there is a way through that is not willpower.

HAND IT A SOURCE
A photo of a letter, a PDF, a recording of a conversation. Pliny reads it and proposes tasks, and you confirm them. Every proposal shows the exact excerpt it came from. Nothing is added behind your back.

PLANS CHANGE
Miss a day and Pliny quietly reschedules the flexible parts around whatever is fixed. You do not rebuild the plan by hand.

REMINDERS THAT REACH YOU
Optional nudges over WhatsApp or text, on the schedule you set, with quiet hours you choose.

YOUR DATA STAYS YOURS
Export everything as a single file whenever you like. Choose how long source content is kept, including keeping none of it. Delete the account outright from Settings.

SOMEONE IN YOUR CORNER
Invite a person you trust as a buddy and pick exactly what they can see or edit, area by area. Change or revoke it at any time. There are no parent or supervision roles: the account is always yours.

FREE AND PREMIUM
Manual task entry, recurring tasks, Today planning, focus timers, Home Screen and Lock Screen widgets, manual projects, sync and buddy sharing are free. Optional Premium includes 30 AI imports and 30 combined SMS/WhatsApp reminders per allowance period, plus Gmail, Calendar and Plaud connections.

Start a one-time 30-day Premium trial without a card or automatic charge. The trial includes 30 imports and 30 reminders in total. Afterward, choose a monthly subscription at the price shown in the app. Paid allowances reset on the first of each month, UTC, with no rollover. Files may be up to 15 MB; large or complex imports may reach the processing limit sooner. Your tasks remain available when Premium ends.

Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled in Apple account settings at least 24 hours before renewal.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.8.0 — 2026-10-04

Remind me at… on any task: choose a day and time, and Pliny nudges you then on the reminder channels you pick. With Google Calendar connected, it can go in your calendar too. Record now starts recording the moment you tap it. Email reminders are free on every plan, and your first recording, upload or connection starts your free 30-day Premium trial, with no card and no charge when it ends.

### 1.7.0 — 2026-10-02

Task buttons now act the moment you tap them: Done, Snooze, Not today and the rest take the task off the list straight away, on the Today widget too, and if Pliny cannot save the change the task comes back with the reason. A task can now repeat every 2, 3, 4, 5 or 6 days, and Pliny understands "every third day" or "every other day" when you type it.

### 1.6.0 — 2026-09-26

A task is now marked Done, and Done comes first on the task list and Upcoming as well as on Today, so you can finish something without planning it first. A task or a step can be as short as one minute. The task editor and the add form use the same words as pliny.life: Start date, Deadline, Plan for and Pin to the top.

### 1.5.0 — 2026-09-25

Record without opening Pliny: add Record for Pliny to Control Center, the Lock Screen or the Action button, or say "Record with Pliny" to Siri. Recording keeps going with the iPhone locked, and Stop is on the Lock Screen, in the Dynamic Island and above every tab in Pliny. On iOS 26, Pliny transcribes on your iPhone as you record, and a long recording can be sent as its transcript alone. Share a call transcript from Notes, or any text, photo or document, to Pliny from the share sheet.
Repeating tasks know their time of day, so an evening walk waits for the evening.
Recording other people? Pliny reminds you once to ask them first.

### 1.4.0 — 2026-09-24

Add reminders: things that are on one date and take no time. They show on Today on their day and move on if missed. Share a single task with other people, choose who can edit it and see who has finished; Contacts lists everyone you share with. Add a task with every option at once, choose what each reminder channel sends, including email, and repeat tasks monthly, quarterly or yearly.
