### 2/5 — Ads

*2026-06-20, version 3.0.8*

The app is great but I hate how it pushes the user to buy a subscription. The ads in this app are one of the most annoying I’ve encountered, you have to interact with the game ads just to get rid of them. I will find an alternative because the ads waste more time than logging.

### 4/5 — Very useful

*2026-06-18, version 3.0.8*

Useful app… The only downside has been that every entry leads to an ad landing page and there's no way to close the ad except completely closing out the app. I know you need Ads to support the app, but it makes for a poor user experience… It should be able to at least close the window and go back to the app without shutting it down.

### 3/5 — Great but…

*2026-06-17, version 3.0.8*

Loved it before they made you pay for functions and info that was free before :( i get you guys need it im just disappointed but i still like using the app

### 2/5 — Ads break it

*2026-06-12, version 3.0.7*

Second time trying to add an entry, it went to a full screen ad with no way to get past.

### 4/5 — Passcode to open is required

*2026-06-11*

Please set the passcode protection mechanics to start the app.

**Developer response:** Thank you for your feedback!
We appreciate the suggestion and have shared it with our team for consideration in future updates. Thanks for helping us improve Plop.

### 4/5 — Good app for tracking what’s going on

*2026-05-21, version 3.0.6*

I’ve recently been diagnosed with IBD (UC) so being able to record flare ups / patterns is useful. Also like the ability to add my own conditions to track. The only enhancement I would find useful would be an integration with a garmin watch app - sometimes I’m not with my phone so forget to track / have to add later and miss details.

### 3/5 — Helpful but glitchy

*2026-04-16, version 3.0.4*

Certain features don’t have the correct title. The contact is button doesn’t work.

### 4/5 — Please tweak

*2026-03-26*

I love this app, it’s been easy to record my stool situation. If there is any way to track the consequences of food, like eating gluten resulted in certain stool situation that would be perfect. I think this can be done by tweaking the input and way the results are displayed on graph. I hope you can work on this!

**Developer response:** We’re glad you love using Plop! With Plop Premium, you can fully customize factors to track things like how specific foods affect your stool. Plop’s analysis and charts will reflect all correlations between your factors and gut conditions, helping you see patterns clearly. Thanks for your feedback and support.

### 3/5 — Bring Back the Free Analysis

*2026-03-03, version 3.0.1*

I don’t like how the analysis/trend details I used to have on the free version of the app are now behind a paywall. I already have to sit through ads to update my tracker, so isn’t that enough?

### 3/5 — Too many adds

*2026-01-29, version 3.0.0*

Too many adds

### 3/5 — The AI generated Analysis

*2026-01-20, version 3.0.0*

The AI generated Analysis is not very helpful as many times it’s actually wrong or even contradicts itself.

### 5/5 — Awesome

*2025-12-20, version 2.9.1*

Excellent tool for tracking the stool. Sorry, I couldn’t resist.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Ads

*2026-07-26, version 3.0.9*

I loved using this app a few years ago. I suffer from a few health conditions including severe IBS almost daily. Recently I was hospitalized with a small bowel obstruction so I re downloaded it then erased it and used another app until trying it again today. The reason I no longer like this app is that now after logging anything there are AD popups and no way to by pass or pay a set fee to stop them. There is now a premium feature as well that helps you document more things but that wasn’t a thing before. I would of gladly paid a set fee for the whole app but premium for monthly or yearly is kind of dumb. Your not helping customers your lining your pockets

### 1/5 — Excellent information but too many ads

*2026-05-15, version 3.0.6*

They give you very good detailed information but there is a very, very, very long ad after every entry you make.

### 1/5 — Pestered for Review

*2026-04-05, version 3.0.4*

This is the type of review I leave when repeatedly pestered by the app to write a review.

### 1/5 — ads

*2026-03-19, version 3.0.3*

so many ads

### 1/5 — The generated Analysis

*2026-03-17, version 3.0.3*

The generated Analysis is not very helpful as many times it’s actually wrong or even contradicts itself.

### 1/5 — just a cash grab

*2025-12-23, version 2.9.1*

love when apps pretend to gaf about user experience and overall health but charge an arm and a leg for basic features. the ads in this app are insane. the monthly cost for premium access? also insane. save ur time and download something else.

### 1/5 — Self-Defeating Ads

*2025-12-23, version 2.9.1*

Impressed by my initial encounter, I added this to SumNotes, my spending tracker. Returning to the app, a full screen show-stopping ad kidnapped the screen. Way to go Dev. That idiotic tactic just took money out of your pocket. Deleted.

### 1/5 — It's silly to require a subscription

*2025-09-18, version 2.9.0*

Without paying for the subscription, this is really just a demo. It's not very usable. A one time cost might be okay, but a forever subscription is a deal breaker

### 1/5 — Buggy

*2024-08-17, version 2.5.8*

I’ve been using this app for a year, and my subscription just renewed automatically. Even though I was charged, I lost access to all premium features. The FAQ says to manage subscription via the App Store, but that does nothing, and when I try to contact plop support, I get the message that there’s no email client. I’ve now lost a year’s worth of valuable data and am furious.
The app itself is great, but useless if renewing doesn’t actually work.

### 1/5 — Unhappy subscriber

*2024-08-03, version 2.5.8*

I have tried to use the app for 4 days. I have sent 3 texts. The answers I received were not helpful. One included a link. When I clicked on it I got a blank screen. I am not a novice with electronic devices. I really want your app to work!!

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Best Plop App

*2026-07-24, version 3.0.9*

So helpful for when I have a plop it’s great for any ages and I personally love this app.

### 5/5 — Pestering

*2026-05-22, version 3.0.7*

The app is OL could be better. What is wrong and irritating is asking for a review!

### 5/5 — Never thought I’d be writing a glowing review about a poo tracking app… but here I go.

*2026-05-07, version 3.0.5*

I honestly cannot recommend this app highly enough.

I recently started developing symptoms of lactose intolerance, including severe cramping and frequent emergency toilet visits. Cutting out lactose helped massively, but I still knew there were other triggers involved and needed a reliable way to track what was happening.

I tried several gut and symptom tracking apps before finding Plop, but this one stood out immediately. It is incredibly easy to use, thoughtfully designed, and genuinely useful rather than overwhelming.

What makes Plop different is how clearly it presents information. The graphs and pattern tracking made it so easy to see at a glance when things were changing and what may have triggered them. Within a couple of months, the app not only helped confirm my lactose intolerance but also helped me realise that the lactase supplements recommended for lactose intolerance were triggering reactions for me too. I genuinely don’t think I would have spotted that connection so quickly otherwise.

I also love how customisable everything is. You can track stool consistency, symptoms, food, medication, mood, hydration, sleep and more without it feeling complicated or clinical. The export and report options are brilliant too.

I rarely pay for apps, but after using the free trial I upgraded without hesitation. £3 for a month is very reasonable if you want to try it first, and the longer subscription offer was well worth it for me. I’ve now been using Plop for around 2½ months and still use it every day.

### 5/5 — Great helpful app

*2026-04-03, version 3.0.4*

Great app to keep track of your bowel movements to make sure you are staying on track and keep from getting constipated

### 5/5 — An awesome tool

*2026-03-30, version 3.0.3*

This has been amazingly valuable for tracking my, um, goings and sharing this info with my care team.

It also shows your care team that you are series.

### 5/5 — Used this app for 5 years. Amazing.

*2026-03-29, version 3.0.3*

I have IBS and gut issues and have had them for 5 years now. I’ve used this app almost every day since 2021 and only now have I subscribed to Premium (due to financial reasons). I’d highly recommend this app. Easy to use, easy to log, very good for tracking, and even without premium there aren’t many ads.

### 5/5 — Missing 1 thing

*2026-03-28, version 3.0.3*

I love this app. It’s hard to keep track and let my GI know when she asks. The only thing missing is letting me input that i have crohns. It keeps telling me i may have colitis and try the brat diet haha

### 5/5 — Healy help

*2026-02-17, version 3.0.0*

Helps track bowel movements so I can keep up w any issues

### 5/5 — Very helpful
