## What is Plop?

plop shows your photos on a map, at the exact spot where they were taken.

You take a photo inside the app. It joins the map and becomes visible to the people you have as friends, at its place and its date.

FEATURES

- Built-in camera
- A map of your photos and your friends' photos
- Filter by time period
- The place of every photo, with a detailed card
- A profile: the grid of your photos
- Friend requests, suggestions and mutual friends
- Likes, comments and replies
- Captions on photos
- Share a photo outside the app
- Notifications

PRIVACY AND SAFETY

Your photos are visible to your friends only.
The location stored is the one where the photo was taken: the app never collects your location in the background.
A photo, a comment or an account can be reported. An account can be blocked, and unblocked from Settings.
Your account can be deleted from Settings, at any time.

plop is available in French and English.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.0.6 — 2026-10-09

A brand-new camera!

• Full-screen 9:16 viewfinder: what you see is exactly the photo you share.
• 0.5× ultra-wide on iPhones that have it, with a 0.5 / 1 switcher and smoother pinch-to-zoom.
• Tap anywhere on the screen to focus.
• Buttons rotate when you turn your phone, and selfies now match the preview.
• Photos and moments now share one cleaner frame.

Also:
• The app opens even without a connection, and tells you right away when you're offline.
• What you've already seen stays available offline.
• Pending photos send automatically as soon as you're back online.
• Bug fixes and stability improvements.

### 1.0.5 — 2026-09-23

Invites

Your invite link and QR code are now in the app. Open your profile, then tap the QR code icon at the top right: you can copy the link, share it, or have the code scanned.

When someone opens your link, they land straight on your profile and can add you. No need to know your exact username.

This version also includes technical updates.

### 1.0.4 — 2026-09-14

Internal fixes. No visible change in the app.

### 1.0.3 — 2026-09-10

Temporary photos: they disappear after 24 hours. They appear on the map like any other, marked with a ring.
Haptic feedback when opening a place card.
Fixes and internal improvements.

### 1.0.2 — 2026-08-26

Sharing is here: send one of your photos beyond plop, with the plop identity.

plop speaks English when your phone does.

Also:
• Every photo shows its place, with a detailed card
• Reply to a comment, like a comment
• A real profile: the grid of your photos, your avatar, swiping between photos
• Your uploads finish even if you leave the screen
• Sent requests, friend suggestions and mutual friends
• Grouped notifications, with a preview of the photo concerned
• Camera flash
• Blocked accounts and legal links in Settings

Fixes: comments, notifications, and how fast the preview appears after a shot.
