## What is Plowd?

See recent NYC snow plow activity by street segment. It’s built for clarity and speed: open the app, refresh the data, and see where plows have been most recently. Whether you’re checking your commute, your neighborhood, or a specific block, Plowd makes it easy to get a quick sense of the latest plow visits from NYC Open Data.

The map is the focus. Plow markers show recent activity at street‑segment level, so you can visually scan the city and understand what’s been covered. If you want a wider or narrower look at activity, adjust the time window to focus on the last few hours or the last day or two. You can refresh at any time for the latest snapshot.

Plowd is intentionally minimal: no ads, no clutter, and no unnecessary steps. It’s designed for people who just want the data, presented clearly. You don’t need an account, and there are no paywalls.

Data source
Plowd uses NYC Open Data for plow activity and street‑segment geometry. Data availability depends on the city’s dataset; if it’s unavailable or delayed, the app will show the most recent results the API provides.

Privacy
Plowd does not require an account. Any location usage (if enabled) is only used to help position the map and isn’t stored by the app.

Why Plowd
Snowstorms are stressful, and waiting for a plow can be frustrating. Plowd aims to make the information easier to access so you can make quicker decisions: whether to head out now, wait a bit longer, or check a nearby route that was recently cleared.
