### 2/5 — Level 2 Charge Access

*2026-08-16, version 7.37.0*

Information on your website is incorrect! Spent hours trying to find the sites listed on your maps only to find they aren’t there! I didn’t get the memo!! Why can’t you give accurate information? Seems like you’ve your map shows e- bike charging stations— not level 2 Charging Stations for my BMW hybrid!!

### 2/5 — Not dependable

*2026-08-15, version 7.37.0*

Fails to find Tesla chargers despite my filter parameters requesting Tesla. We had better luck using Tesla app or Google maps.

### 4/5 — A couple of things would make it perfect.

*2026-08-11, version 7.37.0*

I’m thinking of getting an EV, and this app came highly recommended by my friends who have one. There are two things I think it needs:

1) Allow me to use the search bar while making a Trip. If I have a planned hotel, I should be able to add it so I don’t have to switch apps to map to it.

2) Let me add an adapter to my car’s profile. If I have a J1772 vehicle, the app should give me an option to not filter Tesla if I have a NACS adapter.

### 2/5 — Confusing

*2026-08-06, version 7.37.0*

App is difficult to navigate.

### 2/5 — How long?

*2026-08-02, version 7.36.1*

Work in progress chargers around my home are 7 for the past 3 months, when are you gonna make them available?

### 5/5 — Absolute must for electric car owners

*2026-07-30, version 7.36.1*

Know which stations are working, how to access them, how fast they charge. Electric cars wouldn’t be viable for trips without this app.

### 5/5 — Utilidade

*2026-07-30*

Aplicativo muito útil

### 5/5 — Muito bom

*2026-07-30*

Melhor app para pontos de recarga

### 1/5 — Nonexistent

*2026-07-27, version 7.36.1*

Too far or a few in between ridiculous

### 4/5 — Fast and lonely

*2026-07-27, version 7.36.1*

Stall 5A NACS showed no connection when I tried to initiate charging nultiple times. Since no one else was there I moved to 4A and everything worked great.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Suboptimal

*2026-08-22, version 7.37.0*

The Sofitel has very poor charging options. I rang the hotel to ask about the chargers but they gave the wrong info. It is NOT a Tesla brand charger but the reception thinks it is. There are only 2 and they are very slow. People use them overnight so there is no option once a car is plugged in. They will not be getting off. The parking costs $50 overnight so you are better off sourcing your parking and charging elsewhere if you have an EV and are staying at the Sofitel.

### 1/5 — Slow app

*2026-08-17, version 7.37.0*

By the time it tells you where a charger is you’ve already passed the turn off for the charger

### 1/5 — Never Helpful

*2026-08-15, version 7.37.0*

Doesn't find any chargers when I know they exist

### 1/5 — Useless App

*2026-08-07, version 7.37.0*

Absolutely terrible app when you actually need a charger. It repeatedly directs you to charging stations that are unusable or, even worse, don’t exist at all. When your battery is critically low, bad information like this is unacceptable. Completely unreliable.

### 1/5 — So bad

*2026-08-07, version 7.36.1*

Ok so so bad

### 1/5 — Unnecessary personal Data Gathering

*2026-08-01, version 7.36.1*

I shouldn’t need to create an account to plan a trip; I know it’s just to gather data to sell so that I can receive an ever increasing amount of spam and scams

### 1/5 — Mechanics Bank

*2026-08-01, version 7.36.1*

Ahhhh I need this one sooo bad.

### 1/5 — Fails in its primary purpose

*2026-07-31, version 7.36.1*

Some stations aren’t pinned on the map. I can only find them if I zoom in to their exact location. They are pinned when the app is running on another phone (with same filters), or on the website, but are hidden (not pinned) on my phone so I can’t discover them. I’ve seen others post the same issue over the past year.

### 1/5 — Unreliable / not worth downloading

*2026-07-30, version 7.36.1*

Not sure why all these ev vehicles have this app incuded in their library as a tool to help you locate EV chargers in your area. It’s useless, missing about 75% of EV stations that are actually on the map, doesn’t include important details for example if a charging station is accessible or not. Most of the stations it has on the map are located in private apartment complexes and resident only parking garages. It’s very obvious that the creator of PlugShare has some type of partnership with Chargepoint because of all the Chargepoint stations it has on their map. This app relies on user inputted data and not real facts, doesn’t verify if a location someone shared is actual and if the location checks out. So if you’re in a bind and are looking for charging stations in your area because you’re running low or you’re trying to save a buck and want to find affordable or free EV charging stations near you , save yourself the heartache and stress driving in circles and download yourself an app that actually functions the way PlugShare claims it does. This goes for all EV charging customers that don’t use NACS .. because Tesla started this EV charging frenzy, therefore the seamless variety of accurate Tesla charging station locators isn’t much of an issue not like non Tesla EV drivers have to deal with.

### 1/5 — No dark mode in 2026

*2026-07-29, version 7.36.1*

Also the app barely works, data quality is garbage

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — PlugShare

*2026-08-23, version 7.37.0*

Very useful app. Shows all charging points, unlike other apps that only show their charging points.

### 5/5 — Useful information on chargers

*2026-08-14, version 7.37.0*

I wouldn’t drive without this app

### 5/5 — Great App

*2026-08-11, version 7.37.0*

This is by far the best app for finding chargers that I found. Even among the brand specific apps, this one still has head and shoulders about the rest.

### 5/5 — Great app

*2026-08-11, version 7.37.0*

What a fantastic app for EV drivers. Very happy , trip planning is so easy 👌🏼

### 5/5 — Never failed

*2026-08-11, version 7.37.0*

Awesome app and has been a game changer, dont know what ild do without it.

### 5/5 — EV built in

*2026-08-09, version 7.37.0*

Better than any built in EV map

### 5/5 — The Essential Must-Have for EV/PHEV Drivers Everywhere!

*2026-08-06, version 7.37.0*

I have been using this app for the past three years (albeit I’m not an OG user from when the app first launched) and it’s been nothing but great and extremely helpful for me when I got my first EV, a Nissan Ariya, and used public charging stations. I have always checked in to every single charging stations to help other users who need a charger charge their vehicles. I now drive a Tesla Model 3 and I have a level 2 charging station at my home I use to charge my car, but every single time I have use a public charging station whether it’s level 1 or 2, DC fast charging, or using a power outlet, I will religiously check in to that station to help out other users who are in need to find and use a public charger.

### 5/5 — Great, but …

*2026-08-05, version 7.37.0*

Please consider that NACS no longer means “Tesla”. More and more non-Tesla have adopted the standard. For example, when I find an EvGo station with NACS, it says “NACS (Tesla)”. That implies to a new EV owner that the site is for Tesla cars, solely. I suggest a toggle in the search filters for NACS, and checkbox for “I own a Tesla”. That way actual Tesla owners can see all NACS sites, including *Tesla exclusive* Superchargers or “destination” sites. Then drivers with non-Tesla NACS can see both 3rd party NACS as well as Tesla sites that they are allowed to use. It’s also helpful to see NACS without any Tesla branded sites simply because Tesla sites are often congested or have short cables. I realize this can be mostly achieved using the existing filters but sometimes it’s complicated and/or buggy. Sorry to sound critical —I’m a big fan of PlugShare and pay for the premium version. Thanks for reading

### 5/5 — Totally essential for EV drivers

*2026-08-02, version 7.36.1*

PlugShare is a totally essential app for EV drivers. Charge locations can be in all sorts of places, and do not follow the same position logic nor signage as a petrol station. Thank goodness for PlugShare !

### 5/5 — Everything everywhere!

*2026-07-31, version 7.36.1*

Shows more than one company! When you are planning a trip -essential!

Whereas the proprietary services only show their own which is very frustrating!
