### 4/5 — Everything I need in a music player (almost)

*2024-08-27*

Good app, lots of options and very generous unlimited trial of Pro features. Definitely has some bugs, though. It crashes when I press and hold on a song, but not when I do the same to an album or playlist. It also freezes up when I try to skip tracks while playing from the "Songs" view.

Other than bug fixes, the only thing this is missing (and this is an important feature for me) is the ability to select multiple items at once for bulk playlisting/favoriting. It's so tedious to (since I can't press and hold on tracks without crashing) play each track and favorite from the player over and over.

### 3/5 — Landscape Mode missing

*2024-06-14, version 10.0.1*

Please integrate it 🙏🙏🙏

### 2/5 — Only shows 2 artists and albums

*2024-03-19*

I have 6 albums downloaded but only 2 are showing. Not sure why that is.

### 3/5 — Add option to play song with simple tap

*2023-09-27, version 9.2.1*

Please, add the option to play a song with a simple tap instead of having to select “play now” or enqueue” every time.

### 3/5 — Feature-rich but…

*2023-03-27*

I want to like this app, especially the queue builder, but it has trouble handling large playlists. I have a playlist that has 2000+ songs and placing it in the queue builder in order to play it in randomized order does nothing. No luck also with a 1300+ list. A 1038-long list seemed to work so it’s limit must be close to that number. It would be nice if it can handle more tracks.

### 4/5 — Great idea! Looks beautiful

*2022-12-28, version 9.1.7*

I really love this idea and the app is done beautifully. I recently switched to Apple Music and want a beautiful app to control my speakers. I connected an iPad to them which displays this app 24/7. It would be very appreciated if you could add lyric support with a view of the playing duration and cover art. That is the main thing missing for me.

### 3/5 — Stupid app

*2022-12-07*

Won’t let me continue after the second startup page unless I “login” with Spotify- which I don’t use.

**Developer response:** Hi, can you please contact me at adwienc@icloud.com so I can get more details about this issue? Definitely sounds like a bug

### 4/5 — Nice work

*2022-04-09, version 8.0.4*

Great work. If possible, i would french translation, crossfade

### 2/5 — Gute Idee…

*2022-01-13, version 8.0.4*

…aber sehr unübersichtlich, wenig intuitiv und kein Amazon Music.

### 3/5 — Only 3rd Party One I Can Find Only Wish It Had A Better UI Design

*2021-03-27, version 7.2.3*

I’ve looked high and low for a third party Spotify music player for iOS and was only able to find this one, I tried it out and it’s great n all but there are many other music players out there for Apple Music that are beautifully designed like Soor or Marvis Pro, my point, I only wish that Plum had a better UX design similar to the two I just mentioned, until then I can only give it three stars but it’s great to finally see that someone (probably the only one by the looks of it) who has created a third party music player for Spotify, major props for that 👍

### 3/5 — Missing 2 important items of functionality

*2021-03-01, version 7.2*

Doesn’t seem to support Spotify streaming ie Spotify Connect or folders created by users in the desktop Spotify app.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Buggy and doesn’t work

*2023-07-26*

I get constant errors (too many requests try again later). Constant disconnects from Spotify and when it does connect, my library never syncs.

### 1/5 — It claims to do astounding and amazing things

*2023-07-26*

It is a rewrite of scripts and codes- or more likely just another ripoff claiming to be a coverall. I used their playlist and this app- and all I got was one more repeating and looping playlist that drove me equally as mad. Your purpose and designers must be lazy, money grubbing fools who only care about money because this app makes you all look bad and I am sad if it’s the maximum capacity of your skills. I’d wish them good luck, but I don’t see how that would help. To have a popular app *should* be luck or something you’re thankful for- but when you aren’t even in the country who cares. Just go for those profits, eh? Good luck. You are all losing, in business- in life- in efforts and craftsmanship this is a pathetic excuse for anything, a lazy one.

Of course you can’t think of anything Adam, you’re obviously inept in the first place. And also, petty enough to take it personally.

I can tell when an app is designed poorly. So can you, hence the necessity to respond to me in the first place. Cheers.

**Developer response:** This review reads like a spam and I don’t even know how to respond because no concrete critique is provided.

### 1/5 — Someone else using your spotify account

*2023-07-23, version 9.2*

I can’t believe this you guys are spying at our accounts. I just connected my spotify account to this app then a few minutes later someone is paying this song called “Rock with the Caveman” A song I never EVER even heard my entire life. What in the world are you guys up to?

### 1/5 — Broken since last update

*2023-06-14*

Spotify will no longer connect and gives a rate limiting error every single time.

### 1/5 — ??

*2023-01-05, version 9.1.8*

Sorry but I just don’t get the point of this except that it looks prettier than the Spotify app. There is no cross fade, no lyrics and no music scrubber that you get on the Spotify app. Also a very long winded way to play a particular track next.

### 1/5 — Noch schlechter als das Spotify User Interface

*2022-10-23, version 9.1.5*

### 1/5 — It was great now it's buggy

*2022-07-28*

My theme settings reset every time I open the app. My Playlists are not in the correct order anymore. Please fix it!

**Developer response:** Those issues have been fixed in recent update. Would you mind updating your review so it reflects current state of the app? Thanks!

Adam

### 1/5 — Can’t purchase. No longer supported?

*2022-02-20*

Trial version was great but none of purchase options work. I don’t twitter or use the iOS email, so there’s no way to contact developer.

**Developer response:** Hi, since your review Plum has come back in full swing and has gained a lot of features.
Would you mind updating your review so it reflects current state of the app better? I like to think it deserves more than 1-star reviews :)
Thanks!

Adam

### 1/5 — Review Under Duress

*2021-02-25, version 7.2*

EDIT: I have paid every price for every add on for this app—it continues to interrupt the experience, begging for reviews and to follow it on social media. You simply do not get an ad-free experience with this premium product.

This is an absolutely excellent product, and is essentially five stars without breaking a sweat—but the frequency to which it pestered me with pop ups to rate and follow and smash that like button, after I’ve paid money for it, was far too high. One of the options was to write a review. Very well; this is that review. I understand word of mouth is how small devs survive, and I evangelize the software I like—but I’d advise against purchase if you’re the kind of user who pays a premium price to forego ads. As I write this, I have no idea if this will make them stop. Perhaps relegating the ask to the settings menu or something would be a better idea.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Recommended

*2026-05-04, version 10.1.1*

Elegant visual interface and constantly improving app. My favourite music app on iPad. Looking forward to the next versions. More sideloading options via iPadOS folders would be great.

### 5/5 — Finally an album first app for Spotify

*2026-02-17, version 10.1.1*

This has to be a hidden gem of the App Store. Most apps that focus on putting albums in your library at the forefront are aimed at Apple Music users. This app caters for them and Spotify users!!

Set up of the app was quick and simple, just select your music streaming service and it asks for authorisation and in a matter of moments it’s ready to go.

As someone who likes what I like and has no real interest in music discovery, this app has taken me back to a far simpler time when picking something to listen didn’t take ages.

### 5/5 — Best tool for managing a big library

*2025-12-11*

This is the best iphone app I have used for manually choosing what you want to listen to from a big library, especially if you are album-focused. The folders are so useful and easy to use, so it’s easy to look back through your collection and find what you want to listen to, whether you want to organize it by when you found it, genre, mood, or whatever. I got so frustrated with all the platforms pushing generated playlists and making it hard to see what you like. This app has helped me reappreciate so much old music I haven’t listened to in a while because it was down at the bottom of my library in streaming apps!

**Developer response:** I really appreciate such kind words, thank you!

### 5/5 — Not bad

*2025-08-01*

It looks nice. I was tired of Spotify player.

### 5/5 — yay!

*2025-04-20*

i luv uuuuu, surf icon doesnt work rn tho,, also a "what's new" section from following would b so perfect

### 5/5 — Thanks

*2023-06-06, version 9.2*

I was always frustrated with Apple Music App(e.g. it always shows only "Recently Added" at the top / it always recommends you to subscribe/you cannot change album artworks immediately etc.), and this app has solved many problems at a decent price.Although it seems there are some minor bugs(e.g. sometimes it plays two songs at the same time) I really appreciate this great work.

### 5/5 — Completely okay now

*2022-10-04, version 9.1.3*

This issue has been fixed now, thanks The recent update requires a Spotify account to play music, I don’t have an account so this App is utterly useless.

### 5/5 — Great app

*2021-06-04, version 8.0.4*

Love this app, I listen via spotify and sonos. Currently I prefer this app over spotifys and sonos. This gives a better overview over the music that I listen to. Although the spotify app is better for finding new music, I usually use this one to listen to "my" music

### 5/5 — exceptional

*2021-02-19, version 7.2*

a really good app. I purchased the app when it was still new, and I saw how the app developed over time. Kudos to the developer!

### 5/5 — Give it a try

*2020-11-30, version 5.2.1*

This app is really cool and works seamlessly. Gives a new way to organize all Spotify music similar to how iTunes does.
