I have to open the app and close it. Then try to save the recipe again. Sometimes that works. The others I’ve tried. I downloaded them, it was a free trial period, and then I had to pay. So no hidden pricing is a huge plus. This is a really good app- does exactly what it says it will, and my main issues with it were fixed incredibly quickly once I contacted support to ask about it. You may need to do some editing to recipes you import, but it’s all easily fixed and much less work than other sites. This is also the best app I’ve found for importing recipes from Tiktok captions. Plum seems to have the best of all! I love that it not only takes in the ingredients from the comments of a video, but also listens to the video to increase the accuracy of the recipe. I’ve tested. It’s ability to create a recipe based on a video from social media, as well as importing from my photo library and from other recipe applications. I have tried videos that discuss recipes, videos that give exact quantities, videos that have the recipe in the caption, and copying the text of a recipe directly in from the clipboard… all I get is the progress food emoji without end and haven’t been able to import a single one :/ **Developer response:** hi Alexpadraic - Thank you for giving Plum a chance. Plum servers was down for a bit, but all should be fixed now. I've also released a new v2.0 that should improve recipe imports and allow you to sync recipes across web and many mobile devices. I’ve been able to upload four recipes total, but spent more than an hour trying multiple times before they would upload. Two were from my clipboard and two are from Instagram. Also, I tried another 5-6 recipes that just wouldn’t upload no matter how many times I resubmitted. My time is worth a lot more than the time I spent trying to upload recipes. **Developer response:** hi Dia99 - Thank you for using plum and your feedback. Updating things it missed can be a pain, but that’s a limitation I understand. However, the app has lost ALL of my recipes multiple times (yes, I did migrate them all to V2, and they’ve gone missing). Especially video in foreign languages. Used to work so seemless.. It works well across instagram, YouTube, and just simple copy and paste url from blogs. Having to scroll through all of them to find the right category is a pain and had me already double up tabs. If you fix that it’s perfect and five stars ### 5/5 — Perfection! *2026-08-10, version 2.3.7* I accidentally paid a fortune last year to subscribe to another recipe organisation app but this one is only a £10 one off payment and OMG it’s everything and more that I need. This app is so clever, so easy and intuitive and a sheer pleasure to use. I have now bought a little flexible wall mount for the kitchen for my old iPad and I am looking forward to getting rid of eleventy-billion bits of paper and have everything on this app where I can just find the recipe I want within seconds and have it in screen as I cook. It’s also super simple to upload recipes either scan one of your 11 billion bits of paper or popping a URL for the recipe and boom it’s in. I love that you are also able to menu plan which will then generate you a shopping list. If Heineken made recipe organisation apps this would be it!! ### 5/5 — Best recipe app I found *2026-08-04, version 2.3.7* Plum recipes is probably THE ONLY recipe saver you need!! It imports from Pinterest links, you can scan your cookbooks, imports from YouTube or TikTok, and the best part? There is no subscription!! It’s only a $10 one time purchase!!! I can’t wait til the day we get it on Android too!! If plum recipes has a million fans, then I’m one of them. If plum recipes has only one fan then that is me. The developer offered to help directly, and I really appreciate that. Unfortunately, I didn’t take them up on the help because I’d already pulled all my recipes down again, but I will absolutely reach out if I have problems in the future.
