### 2/5 — Not compatible with Norton and you have to sign in frequently

*2022-03-03, version 2021.6*

If you have Norton Security or VPN, the app will not work!!! Extremely annoying!!
Also when you are in a rush the app ask for your credentials ramfomly,

### 2/5 — Closes at start up

*2021-04-02, version 20.7.1*

The app automatically shuts and closes out of it as soon as open it. The site works fine but I’m unsure of the issue to this is.

### 2/5 — Can’t get access to app

*2021-02-28, version 20.7.1*

I made an account and I tried to log into the app on my phone. It says my information is wrong even tho when I log into the computer it is correct.

**Developer response:** Thank you for reaching out! In order to get you logged into the app, we will need more information. Can you please send us your name and email using this form: https://briefmediahelp.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/requests/new Someone from our team will then be in touch!

### 1/5 — New Update is unusable

*2020-06-14, version 2020.7*

I’ve stopped using the app on my phone and have gone to using the browser version - it would have been nice to have received some heads up from the developer about the change and the inconvenience - currently looking at other app based formularies. I don’t recommend in its current form.

**Developer response:** Hi, Thomas! We really appreciate you taking the time to share your feedback. We’ve pushed a new update (version 20.7.1) that will restore the layout and search features that are more convenient for you. Our utmost goal is to make accessing drug information quick and easy for you, and your feedback helps ensure we’re delivering what you need. The new update should be available by 6/16, but you may see it sooner.

### 2/5 — Not so aesthetically pleasant

*2020-06-13, version 2020.7*

Please go back to the old interface. Do not like the new format.

### 1/5 — Was great- new update terrible.

*2020-06-13, version 2020.7*

I used this app every ten minutes in the clinic before the update. The update absolutely trashed it. It won’t even open half the time. For an app this expensive it’s completely unacceptable.

### 2/5 — Update

*2020-06-13, version 2020.7*

I have been such a fan of this app since I graduated in 2016. The new update is so clumsy and not user friendly. Being back the old format please!!

### 1/5 — Loved it until the update

*2020-06-13, version 2020.7*

This app looks and acts like an internet browser page. I just renewed my yearly membership and now I’m regretting paying for it. Wish it would go back to the user friendly version.

**Developer response:** We’re pleased to let you know that version 20.7.1 (which should appear by 6/16, if not sooner) will look and feel like the previous version you prefer. We missed the mark on this update, and we really appreciate you letting us know which version you like best. We’re focused on making Plumb’s fast and easy to use, and your feedback is crucial for meeting that goal. Thanks for taking the time to share your concerns.

### 4/5 — RAM RPh

*2020-06-13, version 2020.7*

I use this App at work, recently started noticing black screen problem when starting this App, I wrote a review about this, today (within 3 days of review), I got communication from the support indicating that they corrected the issue. Now the App works fine on my IPhone 6 Plus.

**Developer response:** Hello! Thank you for letting us know this happened. We’re so sorry for the interruption to your work! We have pushed version 2020.7 to fix this problem. A simple app update should resolve it for you! In the meantime, you can always access Plumb’s via the website, from your phone or computer.

### 2/5 — hate the new design

*2020-06-11, version 2020.6*

This new design which updated two days ago is so INCONVENIENT! The older version was so much simpler: as you type out the drug the list automatically shows up. But now if you don’t know how to spell the drug you’re stuck and it can be time very consuming searching the drug by it’s first letter. Please bring back the older version. Also I keep getting an error message that I can’t sign in unless I sign out of my laptop... which I have and I still get that error message and sometimes I can’t log in! Again very INCONVENIENT when you’re in rounds and have to look stuff up quickly. Please improve the efficiency of this app for students, technicians and clinicians!

### 4/5 — Great app - but have dealt with glitches

*2020-05-02, version 2020.3*

I love this app and use it every day! Great information - all of the things in the book are on this app and you can add your own notes to drug pages. Only downside is that once in awhile the app glitches and I can’t open any pages for a day or a few days. Still recommend!!

### 1/5 — Spinning circles

*2020-04-30, version 2020.3*

I used to love this app. But it hasn’t worked for me for the past two weeks! As a busy shelter vet this is much easier than having to hunt down the most recent version of the book that my shelter has, which doesn’t even have trazadone in it!! It drives me crazy not having access to it. I updated my phone, have deleted and re-installed the app a million times- it’s not working at all!!

### 1/5 — Used to be useful

*2020-04-20, version 2020.2*

This app used to be useful and easy to get a quick reference. Over the last few months it has been slower and slower to open and find drugs and today won’t fully open at all. In a busy practice setting I don’t have time to wait on the app to decide whether or not it wants to work. Anyone working on this issue?

4/10 Second round of crashing app. Got better for a while but now we are back to crashing every time it is opened. Don’t expect people to continue to subscribe to a faulty app. Very disappointing.

### 1/5 — Must Buy a Second Subscription

*2021-05-17, version 20.7.1*

If your school has a subscription, you have to buy another subscription to use the app. Another example of profits over product.

**Developer response:** Hi, a University that pays for a subscription is connecting Plumb's content through their IP on any connected on campus computer, which can only be through the website. This provides access to content for students and faculty on campus. This does have limitations to the full Plumb's platform that includes personalized notes, favorites, and account management that comes with a subscription to the full platform that includes the app. A Plumb's subscription for an individual provides a veterinarian or student the entire Plumb's platform, from any device. We do have student rates if you'd like your own subscription so you can access Plumb's wherever you are. That isn't something a University can provide you.

However, be aware that this is the old app, we recently launched an all-new Plumb's app! We’ve built the new app to improve your experience and ensure enhanced reliability and speed. The new app also allows you to access all the features in Plumb’s, including the drug interaction checker, conversion calculator, and sharing features for the pet owner guides.

### 1/5 — Can’t open it

*2021-05-02, version 20.7.1*

Just installed. It opens and immediately closes. Restarted phone, still won’t open. Website help is not helpful.

### 1/5 — New update terrible

*2020-06-16, version 20.7.1*

This new update has made this app horrible to navigate. Change it back to the old interface ASAP!

### 1/5 — Hate new update

*2020-06-15, version 2020.7*

The new update has made me stop using the app. I’m considering not renewing my subscription. It takes so much longer to search for a drug, and from reading the other reviews it looks like this is the general opinion. Please change it back!!

**Developer response:** Hi, Brooke! You’re right, and we heard you. We’ve just released a new update (20.7.1) that restores the format you prefer. Our goal with Plumb’s is to save you time, and we apologize for the frustration this may have caused; we hope the new update resolves these issues for you! Thanks for sharing your thoughts.

### 1/5 — Basically broken now

*2020-06-15, version 2020.7*

This latest update makes the app basically unusable. It's like using the mobile browser and nothing like the previous app. It's extremely clunky and hard to navigate, and since the sidebar is gone you have to scroll up and down to get to the doses etc. Just bring back the old app!

**Developer response:** Hi, Sarah! We hear you. Your experience with Plumb’s is so important to us, and if you aren’t happy, we definitely aren’t. We’ve released a new update (version 20.7.1) that reverts back to the previous format. When you update, you should see the sidebar and tab navigation that you’re used to. Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We hope the update is a better fit for you.

### 1/5 — Latest update is a major downgrade.

*2020-06-15, version 2020.7*

As a veterinarian who uses this app multiple times a day, the latest update has made the app useless. At this point, it is easier to search my hospital for a hard copy of Plumbs and thumb through it to find drug information.

**Developer response:** We take your feedback very seriously. A Plumb’s update should never feel like a downgrade. We’re happy to inform you that the next update (20.7.1) will restore the layout and user friendly format that you like best. We hope this change resolves these issues, and we are sorry for the interruption to your workflow. Thank you for taking the time to let us know what you need!

### 1/5 — New upgrade is much slower

*2020-06-15, version 2020.7*

Really enjoyed this app until the upgrade. Takes a lot longer to use. Now it is similar to the desktop version which is not handy when you are on a phone.

**Developer response:** Our utmost goal with Plumb’s is to make drug information convenient and easy to access. We missed that mark with this update. Your experience with Plumb’s is so important to us, so we’re making some adjustments. When you update to version 20.7.1 (which should be available by 6/16, if not before), you’ll see the layout and format that you prefer. Thank you for sharing your concerns! We hope you enjoy the restored version.

### 1/5 — Less than ideal

*2020-06-14, version 2020.7*

The new update is definitely a step backwards. Multiple buttons to click now when searching instead of a list automatically populating. Similar to the browser version- very clunky and not user friendly.

**Developer response:** Hey, there: thanks for letting us know that this update missed the mark for you. Our goal with Plumb’s is to streamline your work, and we really appreciate when you take some time to let us know when a change doesn’t work for you. With version 20.7.1 (which should appear for you by 6/16, if not sooner), you’ll see the previous layout and search features that worked best for you. Thanks again for taking the time to share your concerns!

### 1/5 — Went from a 5 to a 1 very quickly!

*2020-06-14, version 2020.7*

I’ve been using the Plumb’s for about 2 years now, since I was a student. It used to be my go to, especially as a new grad! However, with the latest update it takes the app so long to load. When you are busy at work and running around trying to get everything done, you don’t have time to stand and wait for 5 minutes for the app to decide it’ll allow searches!!!! I will not be renewing my subscription.

**Developer response:** Hi, Sarah! Saving you time has always been the purpose of Plumb’s, and we’re sorry to hear that it hasn’t been working that way for you. On occasion, load times might be somewhat longer than usual, typically when there are updates to drug information. You may find faster load times via the website on a laptop or mobile browser (like Google Chrome or Safari), as the delay you’re experiencing can be a result of your Wi-Fi or cellular data connection. In the meantime, our teams are working hard on a long-term solution to help increase the loading speed of the app. We appreciate you taking the time to share your concerns, and we hope the next update will help resolve this for you.

### 1/5 — Hate the new version

*2020-06-14, version 2020.7*

I used to love this app until the new update. It is less user friendly and takes more time to look something up. I used to use it multiple times throughout the day and now find myself reaching for the book instead. I just renewed my subscription but had I known the app was going to change, I wouldn’t have.

**Developer response:** Hello! Thank you for sharing your feedback with us. We hear you: this change didn’t land for you, and we apologize for the frustration you’re experiencing. Plumb’s was created to make this process easier for you, not more difficult. We’ve pushed a fresh update (20.7.1)—which should come through by 6/16—that restores the layout and search features that you like best. Thank you again for sharing your concerns! We want Plumb’s to be the best drug reference for your practice, and feedback like this helps ensure we deliver exactly what you need.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Very Caring and Friendly Support Staff Easy to use App

*2021-03-27, version 20.7.1*

I love having this app, large amounts of very useful information I use on a daily basis when I did have issues with this app the service team was so caring and helpful and really overall approved my experience with this app I love that I’m able to make and jot down notes within this app for fast easy access to important information.

### 5/5 — Essential Veterinary App

*2021-02-11, version 20.7.1*

Honestly, I'm not sure how I lived without this app. It's always pulled up on my desktop computer so I can easily print or email client medication guides (instead of ending up with a carpal tunnel flare up typing everything I just explained to the owner out again), check for contraindications (and search for an alternative if I need to), or reference that leptospirosis dose for amoxicillin that I can never remember. Honestly I'm annoyed when I forget my phone in the office and have to flip through one of the chronically out of date physical copies that are almost never where they're supposed to be anyway. Plus, as a part-time veterinarian I sometimes have to call clients and make treatment decisions from home - Plumbs is always with me so I can generate and then Slack my team dispensing directions. A great gift for fellow vets and mentees.

**Developer response:** Thanks for the review! We’re so glad to hear that you enjoy Plumb’s and find it easy to use.

### 5/5 — Improved

*2020-10-02, version 20.7.1*

They heard the feedback and the developers returned it to the way it was, which is highly functional now!!

**Developer response:** Hi, B’Elanna! Thank you for reaching out to share your concerns. The good news: we are hard at work on a new version of the app that includes the auto search feature and will make navigation easier for you. Stay tuned! In the meantime, you can still search with a partial word—for example, if you type in ‘pimo’ and press enter, your first search result will be ‘pimobendan.’ Hope that helps!

### 5/5 — New update is so clunky

*2020-06-23, version 20.7.1*

Update:
Thank you for changing it back!!!

Old
Been using the new update for a couple days now. The previous version was so much better. This new version feels like a downgrade, and just feels like we’re using the plumbs through the browser. It’s clunky, requires multiple clicks. Trying to put notes, it says I need to download the app when I already have it downloaded.... it’s just so inconvenient and not aesthetically pleasing

**Developer response:** Hey there! We take your feedback very seriously. A Plumb’s update should never feel like a downgrade. We really appreciate you sharing what’s most important to you in Plumb’s, and we’re happy to inform you that the next update (2020.7.1, available by 6/16) will restore those features for you. We hope this change resolves these issues, and we apologize for the interruption to your workflow. Thank you for sharing your concerns!

### 5/5 — Fixed

*2020-06-19, version 20.7.1*

Back to being an amazing app and indispensable resource

**Developer response:** Thanks for the review! We’re so glad to hear that you view Plumb’s as an indispensable resource, and that this latest update works for you.

### 5/5 — Thank you!

*2020-06-16, version 20.7.1*

Thank you for listening to your subscribers! I am thrilled to have the previous app format back. I use this app all day, every day and the new update made it clunky, slow and difficult to navigate.

**Developer response:** Subscriber feedback is crucial to ensuring we deliver the reliable features and information you need. Thank you for taking the time to write a review!

### 5/5 — Thank you!!!

*2020-06-16, version 20.7.1*

Fast response to correct the issues with the previous update!! Thanks!

**Developer response:** Hello! We appreciate you taking the time to let us know that the new format doesn’t work for you. We’ve pushed a fresh update (20.7.1) that restores the navigation and layout that you like best. We want Plumb’s to be the best drug reference for your practice, and feedback like this helps ensure we deliver exactly what you need. ### 5/5 — So much easier than searching for the book

*2019-06-11, version 1.4.2*

Really handy - love how the information is continually updated. My last Plumb’s book was getting pretty outdated (and dog-eared)!

### 5/5 — Essential for practice

*2019-06-10, version 1.4.2*

I love this app, and can’t imagine practicing without it. I’m looking up drugs multiple times a day, and it’s so fast I won’t ever go back to hunting for the book every time I need a dose. I love the client information sheets and the ability to make notes on each drug too.

### 5/5 — A must have app for vets!

*2018-11-10, version 1.3.9*

I use this app multiple times a day. It is the quickest, more efficient way to look up dosing, drug interactions, and side effects. I am able to do all of this in the exam room with the client in a few seconds instead of walking out of the room, finding the book, and walking back in the room to go over the instructions. It is the only app that I am willing to pay for without hesitation. Also it is GREAT for looking up overdoses and toxicities at midnight during on call shifts when you are home. I recommend all general practitioners have this app on their phone!
