Does occasionally give winners however the majority or selections are well backed favourites below the $4 mark. The Saturday early market movers is my favourite for backing winners, big early plunges bringing the price right in shows you where the sharp money is going. ### 4/5 — Great app *2018-01-03, version 2.1.5* Good assistant for your punt! ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Plunge does not work *2022-08-06* Contrary to the post that says plunge works, it does not work and i will explain why because people need to be aware of it: The “algorithm” identifies price movement. Yes and that’s the problem, you can only get in at a very late stage where price has already dropped. It’s nonsense, most prices are $1.80-3 range therefore you would Need a ~33%-50 to break even and yes you guess right - the strike rate s*cks. Its bad. So whoever trying to get something out of it, save your money. Also the interface is absolutely terrible. This never used to be a issue. I have all the days selected with greyhounds, horses and trots. Can you please fix this issue. ### 1/5 — Premium subscription not working *2018-10-27* Used the free version on this app for a week and liked it. Upgraded to the premium service and can’t access any additional features. Whenever I try to access the premium info it reverts back to the payment page asking me to pay again. I have the apple receipt showing the payment was processed. I have tried updating the app to the latest version but it did not fix the issue. **Developer response:** Hi Aus jase, Sincere apologies, admittedly there was an issue that has since been rectified in the update that went out over the weekend. It’s very handy. The only downside is often the runners have been so heavily hit your taking big unders on a horse & it’s very hard to win in the long run when your not getting value. A few short priced winners early on (generally odds on), but then one winner $1.90 from seven tips. ### 1/5 — Hot & Cold *2017-11-25, version 2.1.5* Had a big go at it for a month, critiqued strategy to follow reputable trainers only, and went enormous, until week of Nov 18-24 when the app plunged anything had a shocking ROI. Gave the impression they are there to get bookmaker sponsors only and not for the punter ### 1/5 — Poor! To say the least *2017-11-12* UK version. Possibly the worst horse racing app out there. My notifications were all called ‘Thoroughbred’ horses names were absent! Yet go on the results section and you will find a plethora of winners. Love watching the betting account increase over the day without any fuss. Great app design to re- work any personal preferences. Updates to the algorithms over the last few years seem to have reduced the number of plunges and are delivering more consistent winners. Had a lot of success with what is obviously a continually updated algorithm. Love your work Plunge! ### 5/5 — Plunge Works *2020-05-04* I have used Plunge for about 1.5 years now on a very regular basis. Previous to that I had also used it. I concentrate on the ANZ Thoroughbreds. Changes are made to the algorithms as required. Plunge picks selections based on its criteria being fulfilled. They are selections based on late plunges. So generally the selections race as favourites. The Strike rate for winners was over 50% in 2019 and a strike rate around 50% over my time has been experienced. A P.O.T. of over 14% was achieved in 2019. Not too many investments in recent times achieve that. The people at Plunge appear to care for their clients. There is plenty of analysis available if you want to do it. There are options in the settings that can be selected. Also an automated betting facility can be used. This means you are guaranteed to get all selections that Plunge makes. A great app that provides fun and money in your bank.
