I decided to try Plunjr on a Friday evening to get a second opinion, not really hoping to get a response that late. A technician picked up in less than 20s, quickly understood the problem from my description, and suggested an alternative solution that I haven't thought of - in no time! He also sent me links for the parts I needed to buy, and that was it! Couldn't believe how quickly my problem got resolved. He was personable and knowledge about our plumbing issue. He was able to explain possible solutions clearly and followed up with the necessary equipment and parts through the message feature. I couldn’t figure out why the water wasn’t going down. I did a video call with a plumber on the app and within a minute he knew what the problem was and told me how to fix it. I really like how you can do the video call, talk to someone in the US and show them what the problem is in real time. Great experience! Great app! ### 5/5 — Great service *2024-02-27, version 6.4.0* I’m a DIYer and consider myself to be pretty handy but when I come across something outside of my comfort zone my go to is Plunjr. They are super responsive, knowledgeable, friendly and very affordable. I’ve used their service many times for plumbing and electrical projects and have successfully completed the tasks each time with their oversight. Highly recommend. I’m pretty handy but plumbing was always the most intimidating diy. Now I look forward to plumbing chores because I know there’s going to be someone who I can get a direct understandable approach to every step of the process that I can’t figure out on my own. It’s extra cool because the helpers are working plumbers driving from one job to another or on a break when they face time you. A dishwasher. Garbage disposal. He set reasonable expectations for what the project would entail, what he could do to support me, and what it would cost for his services. Aaron is a teacher at heart and he clearly wants to share his trade with others. I am so appreciative. ### 5/5 — Super helpful. How every app should be *2022-12-03, version 5.7.3* I had a minor issue with my toilet. Tried to diagnose and fix myself with YouTube videos and other online forums but couldn’t get it done. I downloaded Plunjr and within a minute got connected with Aaron. We exchanged a few texts, had a video call, and within 15 min we had diagnosed the problem and he sent me the parts in stock at my hardware store that I would need. Helped me avoid spending a few hundred dollars on a plumber to come and replace a $15 part. I used this app for a garbage disposal replacement and the plumber I worked with was amazing. Very friendly, professional, and never talked down to me. He let me know what tools I'd need ahead of time so that I could get the ones I was missing, then walked me through what to do using the videocall feature. After that he remained 100% available for any texts or calls from me with questions, and when I did have questions, he answered them within seconds. The best part is that since he is a plumber with many years of experience, he was able to tailor the advice exactly to my needs and give me tips that I never would have learned from an instruction manual or YouTube tutorial. I cannot recommend this app enough and I've recently been bringing it up with everybody I know. Will you pay money when you hire somebody over the app? Yes, of course, but it's a fraction of what you would pay for a house visit. In fact, having an expert available at your schedule who is 100% focused on you and your job is worth WAY more than what they actually charge, especially since you come away with more knowledge and skills. If you want to feel the pride of having fixed something yourself and have help for anything that goes wrong just a text message or call away, download this app! If I have any other issues in the future I’ll be using them! ### 5/5 — Perfect DIY Support for my Toilet Repair *2025-08-04, version 6.12.0* I wasn’t too confident with the YouTube research and AI guidance for a leak I had from the bottom of my toilet… I used Plunjr and was connected with an expert, Aaron, who walked me through my toilet repair like a pro. He gave me clear, step‑by‑step instructions on how to set my toilet, explained exactly which materials and tools I needed (even linked items I could get at my local hardware store), and gave me valuable tips like how to stack wax rings for a better seal. They also warned me about the importance of setting the toilet correctly the first time — and what would happen if I didn’t — which saved me from a major headache. The guidance was so detailed and easy to follow that even as a novice, I felt confident doing the repair myself. If you need plumbing advice you can trust, I highly recommend Plunjr. But beyond that, Aaron went above and beyond and helped me find the right replacement parts, found them on Amazon but also that they were in stock at my local Home Depot, and guided me on the most reliable way to pick them up (cuz Home Depot employees can make mistakes..). My project was successful without having to call out a plumber to my home, which would have been much more expensive, taken longer, and been more inconvenient. I get expert advice about how to solve problems simply, and often two or three different methods I can use depending on what equipment I have lying around. We just fixed a sink leak that would’ve cost me $200 to fix in NYC if I’d gone out to a quote. Especially if you are handy but don’t have many handy friends or family to go to- this app gives you your own personal contractor friend that tells you how to correctly do any project you’re willing to tackle. They helped me plumb a basement bar sink and even gave me links to every item I’d need to get from Home Depot.
