Idk what is going on with the development team but the app has been constantly getting worse since last year. Please stop vibe coding this app. ### 3/5 — Pluralsight on Apple TV Box *2025-08-13, version 2025.08.01* The app is useful for learning; however, the version on the Apple TV lacks a return or back button. Once you select a channel or path, there’s no way to go back. Your only option is to close the entire app and reopen it to exit. It comes with a lot of ridiculous bugs. For example, play a course, stop and switch to another one, then lock iPhone and play Pluralsight when the iPhone is locked. It plays two courses at the same time. I raised a support request and reported the issue. Their support is worse than the app quality. ### 1/5 — Bait and switch scheme *2025-01-30, version 3.55.0* Company terminates lifetime use licenses using shady back doors in their terms of use. Buyer beware. They will never see another dime from me in THEIR lifetime. ### 3/5 — Mixed bag *2025-01-27, version 3.55.0* The range of courses, the course content, and the presenters are excellent! The app, however, leaves a lot to be desired. Try to use it on anything other than a high speed, stable connection and you are bombarded with “you are not logged on”, “you are not connected”, and “something went wrong” messages. More often than not downloaded courses are removed, or if they are there, you are simply presented with an hourglass. My advice to the developers would be to trust your paying customers more rather than trying to lock everything down to the extent it becomes unusable. All I wanted to do was keep on top of my learning on the train into the office each day, but it is proving to be much harder and more frustrating than it should be :( ### 1/5 — New licensing *2025-01-12, version 3.55.0* I received an email from pluralsight stating: “As part of integrating A Cloud Guru into the Pluralsight platform, we are terminating your lifetime course access license to the software-as-a-service (SaaS) offering of A Cloud Guru on February 1, 2025 due to the plan being retired.” I will not use pluralsight going forward and would not recommend either. This is pure evil and greed. ### 1/5 — Good courses, poor App *2025-01-01, version 3.55.0* The app keeps the play controls on the screen far too long when new clips are played etc. Why do you even need to show the playhead? Give an option to remove or adjust. ### 3/5 — Love Pluralsight, but the app... *2024-12-21, version 3.55.0* ...has one major flaw that has been driving me crazy for a while now: I can play a video with the play/pause button on my BT headset, but I cannot _pause_ a video. At first, I thought it was just a quirk of my earbuds, but that doesn't seem to be the case. I've tested with: - Aftershokz OpenMove - Aftershokz OpenRun Pro - Sennheiser HD1 Free - Anker Soundcore Neo - and more. Please fix this. It makes it incredibly difficult to train on-the-go and review material when I cannot pause the video to parse other input or catch up on notes. ### 1/5 — Terrible app couple with terrible CS *2024-12-21, version 3.55.0* This application is useless is pretty buggy and when you try to use for the only valuable thing it has that is to download course to view without internet it fails. I have had this issue a couple of time and usually I need to delete the application install it again and move on. This last time the apple have not work. When I contacted support its was a disappointed experience. You then need to press play. Moreover, they break a lesson into small videos which makes the whole thing even more complicated, as you can easily lose track of where you were before being locked out. It should be simple! Issues: Logout less than 24 hours after a fresh login. Logout deletes your downloaded content. Cant get to my bookmarked courses quickly. Media control are suppose to fade out not remain in front of the video the entire time. Inconsistent controls across devices. However, some of the previous outdated versions of these same courses is available for download. Weird. These newer courses don’t show the options for bookmarking either so the only way to “save” them is to add to a channel, although half the time watching doesn’t keep your progress. Unfortunately, iOS version has one annoying bug: when you open the app at first time it always shows the error on the main screen. Every time I need to refresh the main screen in order to see the content. On android the app doesn’t have this issue. Will appreciate if the issue is fixed. Otherwise awesome platform!
