As a result, the app is barely usable and not well integrated with iOS - the many issues with the player interface are well documented here by other reviewers. In addition, the functionality is very basic and many features available on the website are not available in the app. This is a very barebones, extremely lazy implementation of a mobile “application”. Shame on Pluralsight - for the high cost of the subscription the users should get a native iOS app experience as the current UX falls short of any reasonable expectation. ### 1/5 — Bad update *2026-02-24, version 2026.01.07* New app is awful. Hard to tell where you need to continue on the training and videos no obvious way to download the videos offline. When app is minimised it reset where you were and you have to find the video again. I tried contacting support and all they do is divert me to articles that tell me to go to a non existing bookmark link! I couldn’t download anything from the app. The app is horrible. Nothing works, and then I was charged after I canceled on the app. Don’t waste your time. It’s all Garbage and the app is Garbage. I want my money back. However, my problem is with the upgrade in Dec 2025. This upgrade eliminated the left quick links that were very convenient. E.g., I now have to use the Browse tab to find the New Releases. The app does not retain the last video section watched. Very frustrating ### 2/5 — New apps lacking *2026-01-07, version 2025.12.17* It was very inconvenient when they forced a new version of their mobile apps. It was disappointing and even more disruptive when they removed the Apple TV app at the same time. This MacOS app does not fill in the gap. I used to be able to watch these videos on the TV in my office and follow along with my laptop. The app’s screen sharing doesn’t work and using AirPlay blacks out the screen. I guess just another reason to cancel this service and find what I need from YouTube. ### 2/5 — Buggy and annoying *2025-12-29, version 2025.12.17* This app needs fixing. Firstly, the app gets stuck in an infinite buffering loop in every single video if you come back to the app leaving it in the background for a few minutes or after leaving your device locked. This can only then be fixed by completely closing the app, reopening it, finding the course, and starting the video all over again. Additionally, the UX is very frustrating. For one, the video scrubber doesnt respond half the time , and even when it does its visual indicator that its being touched; scrolling it to reverse or forwards ends with it disappearing for a second doing nothing randomly. Additionally, with other times it doesnt work, the app treats the swiping as opening the side panel whoch then results in accidentally clicking on a random video and having to restart the whole ordeal again. Another issue is with autoplay. On the website, you can fan turn off autoplay, or cancel it from switching your video so you can scroll back in the current one if you need to- nice and easy. For some reason on the app this is not an option, and if you do not stop the video in time you will be stuck with a screen telling you the video that will autoplay, with only a button to cancel, or leave the course. If you cancel, you are left stuck on that screen with the autoplay’s next video title, and are forced to exit the entire course, find it again, go back into the specific module and find that video again. Whats the point having a cancel button if it just leaves you stuck on a screen where you cant continue the video you were on?
