## What is Plyos?

What declines fastest after age 30? Not muscle mass. Not strength. Power.

Muscle power drops 2-4x faster than muscle mass — and it's the strongest predictor of falls, loss of independence, and long-term function. The best tool to preserve it? Plyometrics.

Plyos generates customized plyometric-focused workouts from a pool of 600+ exercises. Press one button. Get a complete workout with warm-up, main exercises, and cooldown. Every workout is different.

ONE BUTTON, FULLY CUSTOMIZABLE

Generate a workout instantly, or tailor it to exactly what you need:
- Workout duration (quick sessions to full training blocks)
- Focus areas and target muscle groups
- Effort level (beginner, intermediate, advanced)
- Available equipment (bodyweight, boxes, hurdles, medicine balls, kettlebells, and more)

Or don't customize at all. Just press the button.

550+ EXERCISES WITH VIDEO

Browse a curated library of exercises, each with video demonstrations. Filter by difficulty, focus area, movement type, or equipment. Save your favorites or exclude exercises you don't want. Tap any exercise to watch it on YouTube.

Exercises include:
- Box jumps, depth jumps, and drop jumps
- Bounding, hopping, and skipping drills
- Upper body and medicine ball plyometrics
- Single-leg and lateral movement patterns
- Power, strength, mobility, and martial arts movements
- Low-impact progressions for beginners

INJURY PROTECTION

Got injuries? Set protections for back, knee, shoulder, ankle, hip, or wrist. Plyos automatically avoids exercises that stress those areas.

SMART WORKOUT FLOW

During a workout, see what's coming up next, adjust rest periods, and long-press any exercise to get details or swap it out.

TRACK YOUR PROGRESS

Log every workout automatically. View your training history with full exercise details, training frequency, and exercise variety across sessions. Tap weekly or monthly stats to see a day-by-day breakdown.

Create a free account to sync across devices — or don't. The app is fully functional without one. Sign in with Google, Apple, or email.

WORKS OFFLINE

Your exercise library, saved workouts, and training history are always available — no internet required.

COMPLETELY FREE

No ads. No subscriptions. No in-app purchases.

Plyos was built by someone who didn't want to get slower, weaker, or less explosive with age. If that sounds like you, start training with purpose.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.0.22 — 2026-07-20

1. Warm-Up Generator — Every workout now starts with a tailored warm-up. The warm-up mirrors the movement patterns in your main workout (squats before squat jumps, hip hinges before depth drops, etc.) and scales in length with the workout duration — roughly 2 minutes for a short session, up to 10 minutes for a long one. Warm-up exercises flow continuously with no rest between them.
2. Warm-up duration — Warm-up time is carved from your total requested workout duration instead of added on top. A 20-minute workout request means 20 minutes total, warm-up included.
3. Warm-up exercise icons — Every warm-up exercise displays a clean SVG silhouette icon with motion cues, making each movement immediately recognizable at a glance.
4. Skip warm-up — A "Skip warm-up" button is available at any point during the warm-up phase to jump directly to the main workout.
5. Warm-up toggle — A toggle in Settings lets you disable the warm-up globally. It defaults to on.
6. Next exercise equipment hint — The active and rest screens now show the equipment needed for the upcoming exercise, so you can grab what you need before the rest period ends.
7. Louder countdown beeps — The workout countdown beep has been boosted 3× for easier hearing during high-intensity training.
8. Knocking sound timing fix — The knocking sound that plays near the end of a rest period now correctly fires at 10 seconds remaining.
9. New exercises — 38 exercises added across the July 2026 batch, bringing the library to 643 total. This batch adds slant board hop progressions, sandbag-loaded plyometrics, depth jump and box jump combos, kettlebell and landmine work, and chest power drills (medicine ball, sled, and Smith machine throws).
10. New equipment — Sandbag, slant board, and Smith machine are now available as equipment filters in the Library.

### 1.0.16 — 2026-06-27

1. New exercises — 52 exercises added in the June 2026 batch, bringing the library to 605 total. This batch adds hurdle drills, depth drop and depth jump combos, broad jump variations, rotational jumps, lunge jump progressions, lateral bounds, agility drills, and more.

2. New equipment — Agility rings and stall bars are now available as equipment filters in the Library.

3. Exercise Pool multi-month filter — The Exercise Pool filter in Settings now supports multi-select: check off multiple months to draw from several batches at once. "All exercises" clears the selection as before.

4. Video clip fix — Watching a clip in fullscreen during a workout no longer exits fullscreen when the clip loops.

### 1.0.14 — 2026-05-14

1. Gear profiles — Save named equipment configurations (e.g., "Home", "Gym") and switch between them from Settings without re-toggling individual items.
2. New exercises — 8 exercises added from the May 2026 batch, bringing the library to 550+ total.
3. Video clip fix — Exercise video clips now consistently play correctly within their segment. Previously, some clips continued playing past the end of the exercise.
4. Equipment filter fix — Library equipment chips now sort alphabetically by label. Exercises requiring multiple pieces of equipment only appear when all of them are available.

### 1.0.11 — 2026-04-26

1. New exercises — 200+ exercises added from the April 2026 batch, bringing the library to 500+ total.
2. Add exercise from Workout Player — the + button now adds a random exercise (1–2 sets) directly from the active workout.
3. Layout stability — exercise name, set, and reps no longer shift vertically when the timer changes state or when the exercise name spans one vs. two lines.
4. Workout Player exercise count fix — the "Exercise # of #" counter now counts unique exercises instead of flat sets.
5. Remove exercise fix — removing an exercise from the Workout Player no longer deletes multiple groups of the same exercise.

### 1.0.7 — 2026-04-02

1. New exercises — A fresh batch of exercises has been added to the library.
2. Library search — Find exercises by name with the new search bar in the Library.
3. Library filter by month — The "New" batch filter in the Library is now grouped and labeled by month, making it easier to find recent additions.
4. Settings month filter — The month filter in Settings now only affects workout generation, not Library browsing.
5. Settings Face ID login — Enable or disable Face ID sign-in from the Settings tab (email/password accounts).
6. Settings beep volume control — Adjust the workout timer beep volume from Settings.
7. Workout add set - An "Add Set" button in the workout player lets you add sets mid-session.
8. Workout rest audio warning — A knocking sound plays 10 seconds before your rest period ends as a heads-up to get ready.
9. Workout add exercise — Add an exercise to your current workout from the Workout Planner.
10. Workout drag to reorder — Rearrange exercises in your workout by dragging from the workout planner screen.
11. Workout exercise favorite & exclude — Add or remove favorites and excludes directly from the workout player, without leaving the workout.
12. History YouTube links - Exercise rows in the weekly and monthly history drill-down now include YouTube buttons.
