However, the information is presented in a way that does not keep the user engaged and interested. I bought the Study Hall on my desktop and figures it would be good to have the companion app to go along with it and do quizzes on the go. But, when I tried to sign in and did the authentication, I received a “Access blocked: PMI’s request does not comply with Google’s policies” error. So the app is useless to my. Back to Pocket Prep I go! ### 1/5 — Cannot access via Google account *2025-10-26, version 1.0* I registered my PMI account with my Google account and cannot log in to this app because it doesn't comply with Google's security policies. PMI as an organization doesn’t practice what they preach, I’m concerned the certification I’ve spent so much time and money on is going to soon be worthless because the organization that provides it is clearly incompetent. ### 1/5 — What is this? *2025-08-10, version 1.0* Downloaded the app to use the Study Hall subscription I paid for. Logged in and it opened my phone’s browser and then…nothing. White page stuck on loading. If you’re not going to support this app, take it down from the App Store. lol. Jesus ### 1/5 — Unable to login due to unsecure browser error from Gmail *2025-07-26, version 1.0* Same issue as a year ago :/ ### 2/5 — Developers, Do Better! *2025-07-12, version 1.0* This app won’t allow you to use your google account to login in. This is the developer message you should read up on in order to implement this app in a more secure manner: Error 403: disallowed_useragent You’ll need to migrate to a more secure alternative: Switch to use browser-based OAuth. Migrate your desktop app to a Progressive Web App. ### 1/5 — Wish it would work *2025-06-04, version 1.0* If you use your Google account to log into Study Hall, don’t bother downloading this app. You will get the error code, “Error 403: disallowed_useragent” if you try. There is no workaround, the app just won’t work for Google logins. This has been a known issue for months at the very least. I really wish the developer would do something about it. ### 1/5 — Don’t download. It lacks many safety features. *2025-05-28, version 1.0* This is the error you get when you try to log in to your account. PMI’s app does not comply with Google’s baseline safety features. Below is what Google says about the app. “This request does not comply with Google’s ”Use secure browsers” policy. If pmi.org has a website, you can open a web browser and try signing in from there. If you are attempting to access a wireless network, please follow these instructions. If you’re seeing this error message in pmi.org’s app, you can contact the developer to let them know their app must comply with Google’s ”Use secure browsers” policy. Error 403: disallowed_useragent” ### 2/5 — sync problem *2025-05-25, version 1.0* I always lose my practice history when I login again…poor performance, not recommend ### 3/5 — Google login fix *2025-05-13, version 1.0* The app has a very weird login error. If you have signed in through the Google account feature, an error would show up if you tried this with the SH app. I managed to resolve this by contacting PMI Helpline and do a password reset. This enabled me to login through the ‘username’ route instead of the Login with Google. Hope this helps! ### 1/5 — Worthless App *2025-05-10, version 1.0* If you have an Apple device or created your account with a Google SSO it’s worthless. Will not let you sign in. Apparently it’s a known issue and PMI needs a new project manager to fix it. Ironic. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — So buggy *2026-07-28, version 1.0.2* Really wanted to use this app but the UX is beyond frustrating. Why do we need to be redirected to a web browser to log in every time? And then redirected back. And why does that “redirection” not work half the time? Adding to this confusion, however they have their login set up doesn’t automatically trigger password fills/generation and the mess of trying to do so just had me accidentally resetting my password. Yes you can access the Study Hall on a computer via a browser however that is obviously not on the go friendly. I reached out to PMI customer service to get help but they say it is NOT recommended to use their own app as it’s outdated and the only way to use the study hall is via web browser. Haven’t tried it yet on my phone but I doubt it will be smooth. So if you want PMP study on the go, don’t plan on direct with PMI. ### 1/5 — Embarrassingly bad for a “professional”. organization *2025-11-06, version 1.0* PMI study hall is shockingly bad: it’s slow, buggy and feels unfinished. It’s embarrassing that an organization which claims to uphold professional standards would release and charge for such poorly made app. PMI should be ashamed of collecting premium fees for an app that performs like beta test.
