However, it takes forever to actually get into it. I have to close the app several times, click the download button, and sometimes it still won’t come up. I’ve been trying for an hour now to no avail. It’s a little frustrating at times. ### 2/5 — Day old news *2025-05-01, version 7.5* The news we get from this paper is a day or two old before we receive it in print. In this day and age. Last week there was an editorial basically alluding to something the pope did years ago, even though he said there was no proof. It’s unfair, and abysmal timing to publish this. It used to work well and allowed access to all the Saltwire publications. Currently, no publication is loadable and customer support does not respond. *** Update 2022 03 05 *** They we’re hit by a cyberattack on PressReader and need time to restore service. *** Update 2022 03 11 *** You need to delete the app and reinstall it to regain access otherwise you will get “network not available”. ### 4/5 — New version uses a lot of storage *2022-02-19, version 6.4.1* I upgraded my iPad to IOS 15 and am now noticing that this app uses a lot more storage. I used to just delete older newspapers but that is doing little to free up space now. The aggregate news reader is also a beautiful piece of work. First: there was a price increase recently, and now we lose our Monday hardcopy delivery. Second: there are no obituaries in Monday’s paper. Who wants to pay for an obituary one very few people are reading the paper ??? Third: there are no puzzles or word games in the Monday edition. This paper is intuitive, easy to use, way more convenient than the paper edition. We sit and read stories to each other over coffee, and enjoy reading all the regional papers. On my Chromebook it was fixed for one day and now I can’t access the current paper again. I am in my 92 year but eyesight is good, but the new system is more difficult to read and requires continuous adjustment, even when I get one page adjusted to easily read, that adjustment has to be made with each succeeding page, I have tried to bring in one page at a time, but so far have not been able to accomplish that.
