## What is PockEmul?

PockEmul is an emulator of vintage pocket computers and scientific calculators from late 70s' to end 80s'.

It adapts its behavior depending on the screen size. it is usable both on iPhone and iPad. 
PockEmul comes with 8 models fully emulated:
    - The scientific calculator HP-35, HP41C (HP41CX model), HP-48GX, FX 8000G, TI 57.
    - The pocket computer Sharp PC 1245, Sharp PC 1350, Sharp PC 1500 and Tandy PC-2. 

A single subscription fee give access to all functionalities and emulated models.

Don’t underestimate the time and love this guy has/is putting into this App. It’s one of the slickest pieces of coding I’ve seen in my (now retired) 40+ years in the IT INDUSTRY.

All the old devices that I once in a while am getting nostalgia because I knew I could NEVER use them again. Well, fortunately I was wrong – thangs to this absolute rocker of an emulator. Thank you!

To everyone complaining: please mind the hassle that comes with emulating devices from back to the 1980s to a modern iOS device. I thought it to be impossible until now.

The bug in calculating logarithms in the program mode (Sharp PC-1350) was fixed in 2.7.0-2.8.1. However, version 2.9+ (currently using 2.9.2) introduced an overheating/battery drain issue, the phone now gets hot in minutes after the launch of the app, and the battery goes down at around one percent every 2 minutes. That was never an issue before. I updated from 2.8.1 to 2.9.2 around 12 hours ago, and literally yesterday it was fine, and today the app drains the battery and overheats the device. Could you please look into that, have you accidentally introduced an unnecessary heavy workload or something? iOS 16.7.2/iPhone 13. Thanks!

I've found a bug in calculating logarithms (both decimal and natural) in the program mode, for the Sharp PC-1350 model. LOG or LN put in the program mode, when run in the run mode, sometimes (but not always) produce incorrect results. When put directly in the run mode & executed, they work as expected.

Pockemul est mieux que le bon vin : c’est une œuvre qui se rapproche de la perfection avec les années. L’accent est mis sur l’écosystème de chaque Pocket, avec des infos, des liens, de la documentation, des tutos vidéo sur YouTube et une passerelle vers le Cloud qui laisse entrevoir la dimension supérieure d’une communauté qui un jour, pourra s’échanger des sessions et ainsi contribuer à faire vivre la passion de ceux qui, plus jeunes, sont tombés dedans comme des jeunes curieux de comprendre les origines du retro gaming qui continue de faire fureur. En contribuant à perpétuer et à préserver ces environnement logiciels, Pockemul est une œuvre rien moins que majeure.

Aber ohne mich. Das UI war ja nie wirklich gut. Aber ich hätte ja auch noch 5-10€ für die zusätzlichen Geräte ausgegeben. 
Ja, die schrecklichen Entwicklugskosten müssen gedeckt werden. Aber vor nicht all zu langer Zeit konnte man Software noch kaufen und musste sie nicht mieten. Da es immer noch Software gibt, hat das Konzept wohl funktioniert.
Nun verabschiede ich mich aber ganz von dieser Software. Schade.

It's a fun app and the emulation seems accurate; but the user interface is a bit unintuitive, at least for me. The emulation seems extremely good. I really hope the developer will consider allowing one-time purchases of individual machines, rather than a monthly subscription for everything

- Casio VX-3, VX-4 and FX-870p: key IN was not managed.
- Casio VX-3, VX-4 and FX-870p: An ALL RESET is no longer necessary after a Factory Reset.
- Force orientation settings was applied at startup with several seconds delay. It is now applied immediatly.
- On Unlink peripheral , PockEmul ask for confirmation.
- To avoid unexpected Context Menu popup, it is not shown if a Key is nearby .
- Activate Log at next startup in settings. Logs are automatically sent to PockEmul Server.
