However when I got to year 10 it all went down hill. so basically I had no teacher for 3-4 and I kept trying to get one. However when I tried the game would tell me to place more facilities. I tried changing the settings to performance instead of graphics and it did nothing. Same with the basketball and tennis courts. - Repeated student appearance - Lacks many types of clubs - Wish we had more uniform types - Lacks micromanagement on students’ personalities, friend and romantic relationships, and lives - I finished this game in less than a week and you can only replay different maps ### 3/5 — Just a thought *2023-01-29* I remember being able to change the school uniforms and now I can’t seem to find the option if there is one at all that’s honestly the only issue I’m having but so far other then that adding more events and little things like school issues between students would be nice like prom, disagreements, ditching and school security maybe idk just something to make it more realistic and interactive due to the fact that I still feel like I’m playing the same exact game from 7yrs ago 🤷🏽‍♀️ ### 3/5 — Poorly Polished *2022-10-24* This game takes the original gameplay of Pocket Academy, which is one of the all-time greats of Kairosoft, and expands upon it further. They do a good job for the most part, and the new elements can be fun, although the game is crammed with pop-ups and micromanaging and with such a fast pace for a Kairosoft game it’s hard to wrap your head around it all. There’s also hidden menus and things that aren’t always very clear or well-explained even in the help section that I had to figure out for myself towards the very end of the game. There’s something called “education kits” that are supposed to allow students to fish and use stilts and photography much like in the original Pocket Academy with even more options, except I have yet to see a single student perform any action using one of these. Nobody fishes, uses stilts, walks on rags, takes pictures, draws. etc. The original Pocket Academy had a lot of replay value with its NG+ and multiple maps, but this one has only one map and not a very good NG+ in my opinion as hardly anything carries over and the game almost encourages you not to restart with its trophy system requiring goals that take upwards of 40 in-game years to accomplish while the “end” takes place in year 10. The translation is also very messy and unpolished which is unusual for a Kairosoft game. Everything seems like it was run through google translate and then stuck into the game. Every other Kairosoft game I’ve played have had wonderful translations, which makes it very unusual for this game. On top of all that, around year 9 the game stopped auto-saving without my knowledge and I played until year 10 where when I manually saved the game, it crashed and I couldn’t open the application for a day with errors popping up every time. When I finally got it to open, my save file was corrupted and I had to load my auto-save file from year 9, losing an in-game year of progress. The game worked fine after that but it was irritating nevertheless. Ultimately, the game seems poorly polished and optimized. Seems like Kairosoft rushed this one out, which is a shame because it could have been a phenomenal successor to the original Pocket Academy. I would hate to call it a cash grab because it seems like they put a lot of thought into the new systems, it just seems like whatever deadline they were trying to meet didn’t give them enough time to release a full, polished game. I still prefer the original Pocket Academy game and would recommend it to anybody. ### 3/5 — Too Fast *2022-09-05* This will my 4th Kairosoft game and I have to say my least favorite! The pace is entirely too fast. Before I even try to process a thought of what I need to build, pop ups are constant that there’s this competition and that, and honestly it’s super annoying! I can’t get a solid 30 seconds just to take a look at my layout without an interruption. It really makes gameplay difficult. Still a fun game and I’m going to play it for a few more days, but I probably won’t replay this one. Edit; I’ll finish the game in less than 48 hrs too ### 3/5 — Good but too short *2022-08-28, version 1.19* I feel like the 1st one, even the lite version ended up having more content.
