### 2/5 — Not worth to download

*2025-09-08*

Still have to pay more once you already purchased the App to have access to entire App! Doesn’t make sense!! Waste of money!

### 2/5 — Subscription, but no updates?

*2023-02-05, version 1.0.8*

Given the subscription cost per year is there going up be any updates? The app is falling behind on law updates, policy changes, latest specific department changes, etc.
If there won’t be any more updates it’ll be pointless to continue the subscription.

### 3/5 — Possible Bugs

*2020-04-14*

When this app came out it was quick to open and filled with everything you needed as a cop.
This past year however, the app no longer opens and the app is now useless for this reason.
Pls fix the problem since you have no problem taking my yearly renewal fee.

### 1/5 — Update

*2019-07-16, version 1.0.6*

Everytime I open the app it asks me if I want to update and I click yes it takes me to the App Store with no update available.

### 4/5 — Great app for the most part

*2019-07-11*

Bunch of useful information! UI is a little clunky, especially after all the states/departments got combined into one. Once you memorize where things are it gets a little easier to use, but wish the developers would spend a little more time on the UI side of things, as it’s a great app overall, hence the 4 starts.

### 4/5 — Codes

*2019-06-22*

I really enjoy this app from what I can see it’s very useful. The one thing I noticed is that the original app had a section for Florida statues/codes and the new app does not. Unless, it’s hidden somewhere. I plan to subscribe, but if an update were to occur maybe have that available again.

### 1/5 — This app is advertised as free, but it’s not

*2019-04-21, version 1.0.1*

If you want access to anything, you’ll have to pay a recurring fee of $4 just for information you can google for free. If you want access to information for more than one state, you’ll have to pay the fee for that app in addition to this one. Save yourself the download.

### 1/5 — Misleading

*2019-04-12, version 1.0.1*

Other reviews are correct. It’s not free. “Free to download” is very misleading. It’s not free. That’s the dumbest clickbait tactic ever. Pride yourself on being honest and legit by posting the cost. Smart people (especially cops) can decide for themselves if $2.99 is a bargain or not. Don’t trust this developer. He’s a con and I’d be willing to bet that most of the info in his app is less than accurate.

### 2/5 — Needs more screen interaction before purchasing.

*2019-04-01, version 1.0.1*

All though the app is really nice and has everything. It does need to be more interactive for the buyer. Like me I would have liked to be able to preview my states stuff and see what they’re was on the app with out Being bombarded to subscribe every time I hit something. Try and fix that so people can get a real preview of this good app. Don’t force them in to buying and find out they don’t want it or like it. P.s. if you feel the need to negatively respond to this. Please don’t. Makes you look bad.

### 1/5 — NOT FREE

*2019-03-07, version 1.0.1*

I hate app like this, its just free to download but everything in the app cost $3 to unlock. Don’t download this app

### 1/5 — If it’s not broken, why fix it

*2026-07-16, version 2.1.0*

Updated layout was not needed

### 1/5 — No customer service

*2026-06-12*

I paid for the app and I still couldn’t access the features in the app. I attempted to contact the creator and never got a response.

### 1/5 — No update in years

*2025-04-04*

There hasn’t been an update to this app in 5 years. Kind of skeptical of paying 3.99 a year with no update to the app in five years.

### 1/5 — App appears to be abandoned

*2023-08-03*

Whatever you do, do not purchase a subscription for any of the pocketbrain books made by this developer. He’s still pulling down subscriptions and hadn’t updated or changed a single thing on any of the apps in over 4 years. Stay away! The information on the apps are extremely out of date.

### 1/5 — 3.99 to 7.99? Bye

*2021-10-03*

What has changed in this app to cause that kind of increase? There hasn’t been any updates, any additional new information, anything that would justify a $3 increase. Sorry. I’ve had this for a while but I’m out now.

### 1/5 — Buyer beware

*2019-12-29*

If you owned this app prior to 2019, you are being DOUBLE CHARGED!! Check your subscriptions. I was being charged for “Pocket Brainbook Police” and “Pocket Brainbook LASD”. I wish I could submit a screenshot... This app used to be good when it started. Now it’s too generic... will not renew... better off with the printed version.

### 1/5 — Pretty Much Useless

*2019-10-14*

I wasted my money opening up locked features as far as DUI’s go. I’m better off Googling everything I need to know. It shows certain crimes as just felony or misdemeanor, but doesn’t give a class, i.e. class a misdemeanor or class c felony, etc. It instructs you what to do on a DUI, but doesn’t give you the verbiage to say to the motorist so you don’t mess up what you say. Don’t waste your money!

### 1/5 — To many issues

*2019-10-06*

I’ll just start with the SFST section. You’re instructions DON’T follow NHTSA guidelines and the clues aren’t correct either. Ex.... OLS doesn’t require a person to put their foot down 3 or more times to be a clue. It’s once!

If you can’t get that right I don’t trust the rest. It’s straight from a national handbook. Smh!

### 1/5 — Please fix!

*2019-09-08*

Unable to use even after paying $3.99. App shuts down when opening. Would have rated much higher if it was not for that problem.

### 1/5 — Freezes

*2019-07-30, version 1.0.7*

Takes several attempts to open. Waste of money.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Great reference app

*2020-04-08*

Great app. Easy to use and great to reference. Had the previous state specific app and liked it back then.

They also are very quick with support. Had my issue resolved in a timely manner.

### 5/5 — Extremely helpful

*2019-12-12*

I use this app in the field all of the time. I find it easy to look up codes and info that I quickly need to access. All of my questions are quickly answered if I have any. I like the fact the app is constantly updating and adding new things. Also the app maker is willing to take suggestions from others too make the app better, which is awesome.

### 5/5 — A must app for LE

*2019-11-06, version 1.0.7*

Great app!!! Tons of useful info!
Excellent helpful tech support.
A must for anyone associated with law enforcement.

### 4/5 — Review

*2021-02-01*

Love the app, but wish when clicking a charge that it actually goes to the statute!

### 4/5 — Q&A section

*2020-11-18*

Would like to be able to turn this off.

### 4/5 — Very useful app

*2019-09-20*

I find myself using this app more and more, from the age calculator to case law. Thank you for the continued progress in making this the universal app for law enforcement.

### 4/5 — Helpful

*2019-09-02, version 1.0.7*

Helpful, quick reminders. Always refer to the actual California Penal Code book for specifics of statues. But for a quick reminder and brief description of topics, this is helpful. Get the pocket book for your uniform, you won’t always be able to pull your phone out at a call.

### 4/5 — Helpful app

*2019-08-28*

So part of my duties is ramp parking enforcement. I found this app very useful in this as I could enter in player numbers of people that were not authorized to be parking where they were, and easily search for their plate number with the app. This has saved a tremendous amount of time. This far, support has been great, making a few changes that made the app operate a little easier. I do recommend you take a look at this.

### 4/5 — Great reference material

*2019-08-13*

Great kit to add to your tool bag. Highly recommend it for those that just need a quick reference guide.

### 4/5 — Great app, but...

*2019-07-12*

The app is great, but it keeps telling me there’s an update even thought there’s nothing to be updated, every time I open it. Maybe a bug that needs to be fixed.
