## What is Pocket Cards App?

Pocket Cards is spaced repetition that fits in a pocket — a short daily study session that ends when the number reaches zero.

Build a deck, add cards by hand, or let the app draft them from pasted notes or a photo of a page. Then study in small sittings. After each answer you grade yourself: Again, Hard, or Easy — and every button shows exactly when that card will come back, so the schedule is never a black box.

A proven algorithm decides the timing. Cards you know drift further out. Cards you miss return in minutes. The home screen is a due count and nothing else, because the only job of this app is to make that number reachable in under five minutes a day.

Anything the app drafts for you stays a draft until you read it and accept it. Nothing enters your memory on an optimized schedule without a person saying yes first.

No streaks. No XP. No confetti. Just the cards that are due today, and a mascot in your pocket that peeks out when they're waiting.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.5 — 2026-11-04

• The mascot is alive. It blinks, glances around and fidgets on its own, and squishes when you tap it.
• While your cards are being generated, the mascot gets to work, popping a card out of its pocket for each one it drafts.
• Fields in your study plan no longer hide behind the keyboard while you type.
• The new mascot icon now appears while the app opens.
• You can now rate Pocket Cards from Settings.

### 1.4 — 2026-10-13

• Meet the Pocket Cards mascot. It peeks out of its pocket when cards are due, and the pile grows if reviews wait. Review any card, whatever you grade it, and it climbs back out.
• New study mode: Match. Pair six terms with their answers, scored by accuracy, never by a clock.
• A new app icon starring the mascot.
• Forgot your password? Reset it from the sign-in screen.
• Reviewing AI-generated cards is quicker: select or clear them all at once.
• Settings now opens from the gear on your deck list.

### 1.3 — 2026-09-18

A new scheduler: FSRS-6.

• Cards are now timed by FSRS-6, a model that learns from your review history instead of following a fixed formula. A brand-new card offers 10m · 2d · 8d.
• Prefer the classic formula? Switch back to SM-2 in Settings. Switching replays your history, so nothing is lost in either direction.
• Quiz options now resemble the right answer, so a mixed deck no longer gives the answer away.

Also fixed: switching between Decks and Plan no longer slides the whole screen away.

### 1.2 — 2026-09-08

Study Plan is here — a second home beside your decks.

• Keep lists of topics, tick them off as you go, and star the ones that matter most.
• Link a topic to a deck and it ticks itself off once that deck has nothing left due.
• Give any topic its own reminder, on the day and time you pick.
• Tap a topic to rename it, link a deck, or turn on auto-check after you have already added it.

Also fixed: the daily reminder now actually arrives. It had been saving your chosen time without ever sending a notification.
