## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Terrible!

*2020-02-29, version 1.5*

I originally used Dr David Burns book. ( he literally wrote the book this method ) And found profoundly helpful This app left out a key ingredient ( the rational belief.) it eludes to it But without the direct use of it The Power of the method is virtually lost

### 1/5 — Privacy?

*2019-04-21, version 1.3.6*

It would be nice if information in this app were private, such as requiring a fingerprint to open the app. I can’t use it because other people (kids, spouse) have access to the phone.

### 1/5 — Where is the app support? Where is the developer?

*2018-04-26, version 1.3.6*

First of all, an app that asks me to document my thoughts must have a way to enable password protection.
Secondly, there is no settings link in the app that I can find, no app help link and no settings.
These are basic things I would expect to see in an app.
Finally, when I clicked over to the web site to leave an email, I couldn’t . Apparently the developer has not upgraded the "captcha” that makes me prove I’m a human, so the submit button won’t work.
I want my money back.

### 2/5 — Email doesn’t work

*2018-04-23, version 1.3.6*

App crashes when email is clicked.

### 2/5 — Great idea, poor execution

*2015-10-07, version 1.2*

App-generated text doesn't flow well with user input. The chart doesn't have space for all content entered (eg description of event) and only lists one of three possible feelings and sensations.

I like the thinking errors and steps to challenge them. More detailed prompts would help.

Would like to see a more streamlined synthesis and chart. I would also like to see a second option in future to do a chain analysis (of several events that fed into each other over a brief time) for more complex thought and behavior modification.

### 3/5 — Crashing upon email

*2018-02-13, version 1.3.6*

I crash upon emailing this to my therapist. iPhone 6s Plus running on latest updates.

### 3/5 — Works well

*2017-10-27, version 1.3.5*

Flows well but when you email to therapist or to yourself it only sends the diagram and no challenges. I would give 5 stars if it emailed all information.

### 3/5 — Ok, but buggy

*2015-08-14, version 1.2*

The app appears upside down on my iPad. It is easy to follow, mostly, however the transitions through the steps is not smooth. Sometimes you tap next and it looks like it is going to the next step, but there is a blank where the input panel should appear. I also do not like that there is zero information on the web site about the author. Somewhat suspiciously. This is an expensive app and there are better ones out there. I would not recommend it

### 4/5 — Like

*2019-10-13, version 1.3.6*

You should be able to choose as many sensations and emotions as you need to

### 4/5 — Emailing

*2018-08-10, version 1.3.6*

Emailing works for me (on an iPhone X). App has potential but is a bit basic for the price, there are plenty of free or cheaper CBT apps out there. I like the sliders but it is hard to choose an exact number, minor issue as it just being in the area should be fine.

## Most praised reviews (6 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — A suggestion

*2020-07-22, version 1.5*

I’d like to see the hot thoughts longitudinally to look for patterns

### 5/5 — Hate the font and page layout. Scrolling is a pain.

*2018-11-12, version 1.3.6*

The font style/ size which affects the page layout is ridiculous. It’s impossible to read the instructions/ descriptions above the next selections. The challenges should be all in the same layout. All on the same page as most of us have several or more thinking challenges at one time. I had Atleast 3 but could only include them if I continued to challenge the though. Mood Notes and MoodKit does this extremely well. Perfectly infact. These CBT apps fascinate me so I purchased this to support you. Please do some UI work as this is a great start to a awesome tool.

### 5/5 — Great App

*2018-10-14, version 1.3.6*

App may be “basic” as one reviewer mentioned but that’s only in layout design. The steps it has you go through truly decreases your hot thoughts. I am a big fan of this app.

### 5/5 — Amazing app with questions that guide you

*2018-03-01, version 1.3.6*

The best CBT app I’ve tried. I have had some anxiety lately and I use CBT when I have a particularly sticky thought that keeps coming back. It’s a nice part of my toolkit. This app asks very good questions that truly help me to challenge my scary “what if” thoughts. I highly recommend using this along with the DARE book (you can find it on Amazon) if you are suffering from anxiety.

### 5/5 — It's almost exactly like real therapy

*2017-06-16, version 1.3.4*

It's almost exactly like real therapy only I don't have to pay over 100 dollars a session or go anywhere! Score!

### 4/5 — Radio buttons would be better

*2018-03-08, version 1.3.6*

I wish i could use radio buttons instead of a slider for the percentage. “None, a little, some, a lot, all” are more useful choices. What does feeling 76% anxious mean? Is it very different than feeling 72% anxious? Is that a meaningful change? Also, I’d love to reduce the text size so everything fits on the screen.
