There’s very little to do on the app and can become extremely boring. The app has been made to play offline meaning that you can only play against bots or someone else sharing your device. However the bots are atrocious! You get a selection of a easy, medium and hard bot but the hard bot is pushing 800 rating. It’s decision making is unethical and in general very stupid. If you’re looking to play chess I much prefer chess.com or Lichess. They both provide a much better range of bots plus puzzles, online matches and lessons. The option to castle should be in the king’s list of moves like all other apps (i.e. two spaces away from the king). I didn’t notice the option to castle was down in the corner until much later. By chess game standard it is very good though. The pieces transition nicely, the AI is suitably challenging and the graphics are very realistic. By the way, if you want realistic graphics, download Apple Shooter 3D! It is everything this chess game is not. AS3D all the way! ### 4/5 — Pretty good! *2018-06-07, version 2.1* It’s good, but the AI doesn’t act like a human. The mistakes it makes are ridiculous, and same with the mistakes it doesn’t make. It’s at the same time too smart and too dumb to be a human. So in that way, it’s unlike playing a normal game of chess. But that’s not necessarily its design. It’s great for practicing and playing chess on your own. Sometimes I get frustrated with it, but it’s still very well made. Would definitely recommend.
