### 1/5 — Be Careful.

*2021-09-11*

Just purchased this app and it does not appear to have functional labs which should be downloadable. Developers website and email also do not appear to be working. This is unfortunate. I really want my $30 back!

**Developer response:** We apologize for the inconvenience, we re having issues with our iosnetworksim.com domain. Please temporarily access the labs via: https://www.pocketcli.com/downloads/

### 1/5 — Worthless

*2020-06-18*

This app was great in the beginning. All of a sudden the app crashes once you access the labs section. Also, the labs disappeared within its section. Send logs to the developer and haven’t received a response. Worthless and it wasn’t free.

**Developer response:** We apologize for the crash issue you are experiencing. Please contact us at support@iosnetworksim.com or support@pocketcli.com and allow us the opportunity to fix the problem. In the meantime, we will be checking our log reporting system for submission problems. Thanks!

### 1/5 — Missing a lot of commands

*2020-03-07*

This app doesn’t have the “login local” command when setting up a username. A basic configuration concept for the CCNA. I emailed pocketcli about this and got no response. If you need a glitchy CLI app for a phone or tablet, just get the free PacketTracer app. Don’t waste $30 here.

**Developer response:** Well that is embarrassing! Thank you so much for pointing out that the website contact and email is out of order. We have had a change in project management and sincerely apologize for this oversight.

Commands are added based on importance of the topic for the exam.

### 1/5 — Not have all commands

*2016-12-31, version 1.71*

Did not develop the app fully. They charge you a high price and also, you have to do testing for them. Lots of commands missing. Wanted to use in my car and iPad is easy to carry. I should have bought dc to ac convertor and took my laptop to car and there are lots of free softwares for laptop. Response and usage of commands not similar to cisco.

### 1/5 — Mr

*2015-08-20*

App crashes very often. Waste of money!

### 4/5 — Does what it needs to do

*2023-08-08*

Definitely some 802.1x should be added.

**Developer response:** We appreciate the favorable feedback. CCNP dot1x support is in the test phase and should be an added feature within the next couple of updates.

### 4/5 — Better than I expected

*2017-05-26*

This app does a lot more than I expected. It has help commands and uses shortcuts, which is better than many simulators I've seen. It doesn't seem to be processor intensive or use much battery. Great companion for book learning. I'll be taking this app everywhere.

### 4/5 — Awesome

*2016-01-19*

Having fun learning IOS. Well not really but its work. Problem I am having is a router dhcp configuration that the application is running me through isn't working properly. So I cannot finalize that portion of the junior testing.
Otherwise thanks for the helper.

### 4/5 — Good app

*2015-11-27*

Great iPhone app. I love the practicality of this app on my iPhone. I only wish the interface functioned as well on my iPad. Great "hands on" practice to stay sharp though. Definitely worth the money.

### 4/5 — IOS Network Sim

*2015-10-22, version 1.57*

As a networking Instructor, this app is an extremely useful tool, allowing the creation of simple or complete network labs, quickly, on the move or in class. Along with highly configurable intermediate and end devices with a wide range of commands and supporting many of the major networking protocols. The ability to save and modify existing labs, plus the addition of labs created by the developer. With the continuous updates in performance and features, this app is and will continue to be one of my essential iPad networking apps.

## Most praised reviews (6 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Wonderful

*2026-03-05*

Love this app! It would be great to be able to import packet tracer labs to use Jeremy’s IT Lab in tandem.

### 5/5 — Blogs + sandbox = invaluable

*2025-10-31*

If you are going through multiple choice questions and hitting conceptual walls this resource will throw you over and then some

Would love to see a lightweight WLC interface added down the road, that’d make this the complete pocket lab

**Developer response:** Huge thanks for the 5 stars! Glad it’s helping you. Wireless is coming; tightening up a few areas before development.

### 5/5 — I love this app

*2019-01-07*

I used this app to help me study and practice for my CCNA exam when I wasn’t able to get to GNS3, which was actually quite a bit. The ability to create my own labs as well as download already built scenarios was immensely helpful. I’ve kept using it even after passing the exam to help gain more skill and retain what I’ve already learned.

**Developer response:** Congratulations on your CCNA! We appreciate the positive feedback and your patience.

### 5/5 — Comm Tech

*2016-09-07*

Awesome simulator!!!

### 5/5 — Best App!!!

*2016-04-07*

God bless the developer of this app!
This is exactly what the world needs. Great job! I can recommend this app to everybody that works in IT to get advanced.

### 5/5 — Great practice

*2016-01-04*

I wasn't sure what to expect when I purchased this app as it's a little more expensive than what I usually look for. But I'm so glad I bought it! It's a really convenient way to practice configurations and CCNA prep while on the go. It's like GNS3 on the iPhone. I really like the built in labs too. A lot of thought was put into this simulator.

The recent updates to this app have made it even better. I love that I can now use my external keyboard on my iPad. 5 stars!
