## What is Pocket Course?

Mini golf... with a twist!

Drag back from the ball to aim, release to shoot. Use the spin slider to curve your roll left or right. Hug a wall. Slip past a windmill. Find the line everyone else missed.

TWO COURSES. TWENTY-SEVEN HAND-DESIGNED HOLES:

The OG — the original eighteen, the warm-up that teaches the game. Easy to play, nearly impossible to master.
Spin Cycle — nine more custom levels, where the spin slider stops being optional if you want to really ace them all. I put a lot more effort into the design for Spin Cycle, and if you like that course just wait to see what's coming next as I get better at editing these levels.

Sand bunkers. Water hazards. Rotating windmills. Ramp tunnels. Bumpers that nudge, blades that turn, ramps that fling.

THREE MODES.

Competitive Play. Eighteen holes in order. The mode that counts: stars, coins, aces, personal bests all land here. Use a skip and the round goes Unranked. Mulligans rewind a stroke when you need one.

Practice. Or, as I like to call it: Zen mode. No stress, no pressure. Use it to practice those holes that you just can't get better at or use it to relax and have fun.

The Daily. Three random holes a day with a loaner ball + putter shared by every player on the planet. Build a streak. Share your score.

A LOCKER FULL OF GEAR.

Ten new balls + ten new putters. Each piece has a four-stat tradeoff: mass, bounce, spin, aim. Sink holes to earn coins. The elite gear unlocks as your star total climbs and your game improves.

Magnet upgrades on two ladders — Range and Strength, three tiers each, bought independently. Mulligan slots per nine — keep your score alive on an errant shot.

DAY EDITION + NIGHT EDITION.

PLAYS OFFLINE.

Your scores stay on your device. Game Center leaderboards if you want them; ignore them if you don't. Day or night, on your couch or in line for coffee.

I truly hope you all enjoy this game as much as I do. I had a blast making Pocket Course and I hope it shows in the gameplay.

### 5/5 — Daily dose of fun!

*2026-05-19*

I’m totally adding this to my daily game collection. It’s fun to test your skills with the different holes and you never know which one will show up for the daily challenge! It’s a quick game for those in-between moments, but you can definitely get sucked in trying for your best score while avoiding the obstacles.

### 5/5 — Great Game

Really fun golf game with a unique twist. The daily holes and challenges keeps it interesting, and it's easy to pick up and play anytime. Clean design, smooth gameplay, and you can tell a lot of effort was put into it. I really recommend this game to everyone!

### 5/5 — Great to pass time

Challenging but fun. Great game to pass the time

### 5/5 — Addicting arcade mini golf

Don’t download if you have somewhere to be. The spin mechanic makes you keep trying for the PERFECT hole in one shot over and over and over. It’s simple but so satisfying when you nail it!

## Version history (last 3 releases)

### 1.1.1 — 2026-05-23

v1.1.1 — Best Round, fixed.
Best Round goes to your lowest stroke total, every time. Spin still sweetens the score and feeds your coin payout — but strokes decide which round is "best." That was always the intent; v1.1.0 had it backwards.
WHAT YOU'LL SEE
Already shot a lower stroke total than your stored Best Round? It becomes your new PB the first time you open the app, no replay needed. The home screen stat, the Competitive Play button, and the Hub's BEST ROUND card now lead with strokes-over-par. Spin score sits below as a secondary stat.

### 1.1.0 — 2026-05-18

A NOTE BEFORE YOU UPDATE

Stars, coins, and equipment from v1.0 are wiped on this version. The scoring math and the gear ladder were both reworked end-to-end and there wasn't a clean way to carry the old data forward. Sorry — I know it stings after the time some of you put in during this beta test. I don't plan to do this again... the initial launch was just a prototype. This is now a much more polished and refined version that will receive continual updates and additions as the years go by.

v1.1.0 — Spin Cycle is here.

NEW COURSE

Spin Cycle. Nine extra holes that make the spin slider non-optional (if you want to ace every hole). Unlocks once you bank 27 stars on a ranked OG round. Has its own scorecard and Best Round card.

OBSTACLE PHYSICS, REBUILT

Rotating blades, windmills, and active bumpers now hit the ball the way they should. No more sticking, drifting, or absorbing slow rolls. And if the ball ever gets pinned between an obstacle and a wall, it shatters and respawns at the tee.

HUD CLEANUP

Tighter second row: per-hole best, running round total, stars earned this round. Practice mode is unscored, per usual.

Skip is harder to abuse. Only shows up when you can no longer beat your personal best on the hole, and skip scores can't drop below par + 1. Using skip flags the round as Unranked.

Best Round scorecard on the Competitive Hub. Tap to see the per-hole breakdown of your top ranked round.

BALANCE

Top-tier gear — Tour Black, Ace Master, Tour Series Mallet, Master's Signature Elite — now unlocks from OG stars only. Spin Cycle stars feed Spin Cycle gear.

Main menu stats relabelled: Stars → Best Round, Aces → Best Aces.

STABILITY

Self-healing launch. If the app ever can't launch cleanly, it clears just the in-progress round on the next try. Your progression — stars, coins, owned equipment, history — is never touched.

Hope you guys enjoy this version!
-James
