We'll look into adding this in a future update! ### 4/5 — Great app so far, with a few bugs *2024-04-21* I recently got this app, as well as purchased the full version to get unlimited scans. It takes a second to get a scan to go through especially if there is some glare or the card is holo. There are some Trainer Gallery cards that it just doesn’t want to get right and will read as another different Trainer Gallery card. Also, it would be nice if you could separate the editions of cards, such as Play! pack stamped cards. The biggest bug I’ve seen so far is that the app won’t scan any Scarlet Violet Promo cards and any time you manually search and add them the application crashes. I would give it 5* if it weren’t for these issues. Just a refund with no explanation. The Shiny App & Collectr App are way better. ### 1/5 — Camera scanning is garbage *2024-10-29* Takes about 3 minutes to scan and doesn’t give a even similar looking card when scanned ### 1/5 — Scanning inconsistent *2024-05-19, version 1.1.4* After 10 or 11 successful scans I had to pay to upgrade to pro so I could scan more.it seemed to be working so I gladly paid .shortly after cards wouldn’t scan or I would scan and get the wrong cards, I tried changing camera angle and had the cards in well lit area and still about half my cards won’t scan . I will be requesting a refund ### 2/5 — Mildly functional *2025-04-10* The app is a nice touch for collectors, unfortunately the detection is very bad. English cards are hit or miss, any foreign cards are no supported well if at all, and there is no distinction between normal, holo, and reverse for cards. ### 2/5 — Doesn’t scan holos or Trick or Trades *2024-07-14* It doesn’t recognize whether a card is holographic or Trick or Trade. It also doesn’t calculate the real price of these cards. I have a 1999 pikachu worth 1200$ and it said the estimated price is .99¢. Get something else ### 2/5 — Little to No options or cards available *2024-04-18* Just nothing close to being a half decent app for actual collectors. Maybe if you only just started collecting and want everything in USD. Only 3 sets to choose from and limited items to scan. They want $4.99 to let you scan more of the 3 sets they have. If you're still having trouble, please drop us a line at help@transientuniverse.com and we'll get to the bottom of it! ### 3/5 — it’s good, but something doesn’t 𝔀𝓸𝓻𝓴 *2025-01-27* OK, so I have a lot of gold cards and the scanner doesn’t even pick up any of the gold Pokémon cards so I have to put those to the side and technically 𝓯𝓸𝓻𝓰𝓮𝓽 about it because it barely picks up any of my cards I checked my cards a bunch of times nothing was wrong with them so then I just finally gave up and if it doesn’t pick up a card, I just throw that card to the side too ### 3/5 — Add more celebration Pokémon to it as the prices vary *2024-04-22* The celebration cards and the originals vary tremendously and it always reads as an og card when it is not. Please fix this small thing as it makes the overall price of your collection not valid. Also when I go to the celebrations area not all the cards are on there ### 3/5 — Features *2024-04-18* Only a few critiques I have, The scanning feature just doesn’t work at all, at least for me it didn’t work one bit either the card wouldn’t pick up through the camera or when it did it would choose between 2 different cards that weren’t even close I scanned a Umbreon vmax alt art and it gave me 2 commons from different sets. Other feature that would be nice for vintage is to specify 1st edition from unlimited along with condition even if it’s just a last sold listing on tcg for condition I think that would make it stand out way more then all the other apps that track collections. **Developer response:** Hi Miken06! We've got some exciting improvements in store coming soon! ### 4/5 — Great minus a few things *2025-05-28* Out of all of the apps I’ve used, the scanner is the most accurate with this app, and as is the case with all scanners if it has a glare or is holofoil, it won’t pick up half the time, but that’s normal due to camera limitations. My biggest gripe is that it is missing a lot of promo cards from more than six months ago. The Terapagos EX ultra-premium collection came out in November, and in May the promo cards are still missing from the database; even though it has been updated since then. Related, the new packs take a while after release to be added to the list. Other issue is that the app randomly crashes when using the camera to scan, it’s inconsistent; sometimes after a few scans, sometimes after dozens, so I haven’t been able to identify a reason for it. This has been over several updates. Suggestion: another annoyance is that there’s no way to separate the non-foil cards from the foil cards so that you can have them listed separately, it just makes you put them all under the same card and doesn’t let you specify how many are foil and how many are not. Then randomly some cards that are available as reverse hollofoil don’t even have the option. ## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated) ### 5/5 — GREAT APP SO FAR *2025-01-12* I love the modern UI. It runs very smoothly. I hope they continue to invest in it and bring in graded cards, different holos and promotional cards, etc… And the shop would be so cool if they continued adding more stock and things to it too! ### 5/5 — Awesome app!!! *2024-12-27* I really love this app I have so many cards. It’s hard to know what I do and don’t have. The only thing I wish they had in the scanning part was a flashlight mode. ### 5/5 — Best Pokemon TCG Collecting App Yet! *2024-08-18* I’ve dabbled around a few collecting apps to find one that sticks - and I think this is the one. It’s pretty seamless to mass-scan your collection and the way they organize it for you by sets and give progress, I love it!! If they could add more options for organizing like creating your own sub collections that’d be nice. This app has the potential to be even better but super pleased with it and I recommend getting it and buying the Pro add-on. Shoutout PokeOz for suggesting this one! ### 5/5 — Excellent App *2024-06-28* So far I’m happy with the scanning and searching features. I wish there was a way to catalog Holos vs. Reverse Holos, but I don’t consider RH to be that big of a deal, so I can let that go. My friend and I want to connect through the app, but iOS isn’t allowing a proper profile login. I allow it to use my iOS account, and then it gets caught in a loop where it’s like you never linked the iOS account at all. If just the profile login could be fixed, I’d bump this from 3 to 5 stars. High hopes. Edit: Developer pushed fixes within 24 hours!!! Being able to store thousands of Pokemon in one organized app is a god send. The scanning feature has been flawless and has saved me HOURS in manually organizing my sets. As part of the upgrade to Pro I would like to see a way to be able to connect to the global Pokémon TCG Community. Whether you are in search of a certain Card or Set, it would be nice to have a place on the platform to reach out to others to enhance access to the cards you need. Also a way to grow a community within this space. Possible a Discord channel while you allow the App to mature. If not you are merely competing with Apps such as DEX and Collectr for the same model which won’t be sustainable.
