This app is quick, easy to use, very intuitive. Not much to figure out. When I’m trying to figure out songs, this is a great resource to experiment with to find the sound I’m looking for. Glad more chords are on the way. Request: how about a DADGAD tuning variation? Just a thought… Thank you!

### 5/5 — multiple chord forms

*2024-03-16, version 1.7*

I was pretty happy when I saw that even though the only give you two ways to play a chord, like A major it will show only two ways to play it, but when you change the key it shows other forms.

### 4/5 — Great just some ideas

*2023-11-19, version 1.7*

There should be a way to store chords you want to practice and also a way to navigate through chord pages much easier. some Ui changes would be nice

### 4/5 — Simple

*2023-10-31, version 1.7*

Easy to use, ideal for a beginner wanting to learn chords.

### 5/5 — Just Perfect

*2023-10-28, version 1.7*

I used to have a snarling dogs chord computer. It was a really useful tool but eventually died. This app absolutely replaces that so I am thrilled. I know it’s lazy but it’s so nice to just look up rather than work out.

### 5/5 — good

*2023-10-26, version 1.7*

very good

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Wrong

*2026-08-04, version 2.1.1*

Simple layout is great. Easy to use. No pointless accessory features. But what’s the point when many of the chords are just wrong? I mean it had one job.

### 1/5 — DO NOT DOWNLOAD

*2022-02-06, version 1.7*

I hate this app! When I don’t like an app I usually just delete it but this app is terrible and I don’t recommend anyone download it

### 1/5 — Review

*2021-12-27, version 1.7*

Not good at all the cords are wrong to what they should be and dont sound good

### 1/5 — Disappointing

*2021-03-26, version 1.7*

Downloaded and intro page screen froze on I Pad, unable to use, waste of time. Don’t bother

### 2/5 — Missing some chords

*2025-12-21, version 2.1*

Just downloaded this app and was encouraged at first. However, the screens don't look like what's advertised with the download, and the biggest complaint is that there is no selection for A or B chords. Not sure if a recent update didn't go well, but the version I downloaded seems incomplete. Hope the next update corrects this because what is offered is great. Doesn't seem to be an Android version so couldn't check that to see if it's unique to iOS.

### 3/5 — Very few variations

*2023-05-07, version 1.7*

This app is fine and I appreciate it being free and easy to use. I find that the lack of variations for chords makes it kinda useless for me. For someone who is just looking for common simple chord voicings it is probably a good tool

### 3/5 — Great Interface, Limited Library

*2022-07-29, version 1.7*

This app is a breeze easy to use, I quite enjoy the interface. However, I’d really appreciate the ability to create more complex chords and positions all along the fretboard. Overall this is perfect for beginners and intermediate players, but just not enough for what I was looking for.

### 3/5 — Great for finding those elusive chords

*2021-07-27, version 1.7*

Finding those tricky chords to practice and use as alternatives is great.

### 3/5 — Great, but....

*2019-01-13, version 1.7*

This app really is great for a free chord app. It’s easy to use, free, looks great and there are no ads. But most of the chord variations are pretty hard and there aren’t a lot of options. I’ve had to actually had to look at other sources just to get easier chords, not that you should always need them, but I would prefer not having to do that.
Basically, just give it a bigger database and perhaps let people post chords.

### 4/5 — Excellent but needs updated

*2026-04-21, version 2.1*

Excellent pocket chord reference, but needs to update and include more chords like Bflat, Eflat etc.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Perfect

*2026-06-12, version 2.1*

Nice simple app just the way I like it. And no data collected. Thank you

### 5/5 — Such a useful guide

*2025-07-07, version 1.7*

As a relatively inexperienced guitarist, this app is great for recording and helping to reinforce finger positions for all basic chords - and enabling advancement to interesting variations. I only downloaded this app today, but it is already a “go to” to support my learning process. The layout is structured in a straightforward way - and as a left handed guitarist, it helpfully sets out chord tab layouts conveniently transposed for the left handed player.

### 5/5 — Easy 4 Me

*2025-07-02, version 1.7*

I find this no frills app to be my go-to resource for playing solo or with a group.

### 5/5 — My “Go To First” Guitar App

*2025-05-23, version 1.7*

This guitar app is amazing. It’s very simple to use and I love the graphics. I have shared it with every guitar beginner I know. It is that good 👍

### 5/5 — Works

*2025-04-18, version 1.7*

An easy to use Cord reference. Works as advertised.

### 5/5 — Solid chord reference database.

*2025-04-03*

This app has no ads. It has major, minor, minor and major 7th, aug, and dim chords for all twelve tones, correct standard voicings in two variations. It has a plethora of other chord voicings ranging from standard to useable, and every one I can at least see how the author reasoned it out. None are wrong. I don’t know what more one could reasonably ask for in a free app. It’s more than I would have. Much gratitude for the author, who took their time to make a completely free, good looking, and easily navigable chord reference database that will be a boon for the beginner, the intermediate, and the veteran.

### 5/5 — Great resource

*2025-02-24, version 1.7*

Nicely built app with quick easy and intuitive interface. Recommended.

### 5/5 — Super helpful.

*2024-12-16, version 1.7*

Simple, easy to use. UI allows quick access to chords.

### 5/5 — Great app

*2024-12-01, version 1.7*

Excellent guitar app for free thanks so much

### 5/5 — Chord helping hand

*2024-11-22, version 1.7*

I have been a player since 1958 and i only have to cast my mind back to those years and would either have to go to our local library or get help from another player. Thank for the app Allan in stoke on Trent uk
