I have had multiple games that I have won and paid for lives on weekend brawls end and then I get pegged with the loss. Keep improving those bugs please and thanks ! I find it way too easy to beat my opponents even up into platinum, which is the highest rank I’ve gotten. I could get a much higher rank, I just don’t have time. I usually beat my opponents 10-0, maybe a few less points on my end. It’s fun for a while but then it gets boring. I think there should be some system that tracks how many points you’re getting per game and adds mmr/ranking points so you can progress quicker if you are in too low of a rank. Otherwise, I am thoroughly enjoying this game! ### 3/5 — Crashes *2026-08-04, version 2.0.23* The game is fun but it crashes and makes you lose cups all the time so that makes it pretty hard to progress and seems like it’s hard to get and money to buy any players or gear without paying actual money. And it seems like it’s just as easy to score with a new team not upgraded as with a team that is upgraded… unless you pay money to really upgrade your team ### 3/5 — Fun game! But.. *2026-07-24* It’s a fun game, with cool powers and ways to upgrade the players, shooting feels really good. The names are quirky, checking feels good, and there are ways for skill expression. The star system is cool, rewarding good play, and I like the way fights were incorporated. I’m enjoying the base system that’s here. I do have some issues. The first one is related to the monetization. The ads are very frequent, and some are quite long. That wouldn’t be a problem on its own, there’s an option to buy the ads away… $25 CAD is way too steep just to stop seeing ads in my opinion. Not to mention that there are free things you can get by watching ads and plenty of micro transactions already, making me pay that much just to stop seeing ads after games feels like overkill. My next issue is lesser, but I still wanted to bring it up. I used 100 of my coins to play in an event, which is 20 wins for the biggest prize. Most steps (each win) is 100xp (for 100 coins you can get 1500xp in the shop by the way) I won 2 games for 200 xp then get matched with someone who’s players are double the power to mine and I get wiped. You can buy more lives with coins, but the second life instead of 100 coins is now 500 coins. I am not going to fall for the same trick twice for more than double the cost. The event did not feel fair in the slightest, I used my coins to get 14% of the shop offer- then immediately matched up against a team I had a tiny sliver of a chance to win against on the 3rd step of a 20 win ladder, then to buy back in you need to pay up (seemingly) exponentially. Feels like it links back into monetization which encourages you to pay more. ### 3/5 — Glitchy and Expensive *2026-07-21, version 2.0.23* I’m tempted to pay for the ad-free version but the game is unreliable. It shuts down frequently. I had a lot of hope first playing this. Played about 50 games before I decided it’s genuinely a cash-grab, hoping you’ll pay for upgrade packs once you lose enough. I went 35-15, every single winning streak was of course cut short. Some opponents will be “skilled” much higher, better players, more trophies. Goalies simply will just fly out of the goal, the AI on the skaters is god awful. There’s no real lineup building, you’re essentially stuck with the first line the game gives you unless you spend money. Every single “online match” is AI. Nothing is genuinely a real player vs. a real player. Explain to me how the game runs smooth in 60 FPS, but the menus are essentially 10? Zero response time on the main menus, game came straight from 2009. It has so much potential, yet cut way too many corners. Never offer a paid battle pass (star pass), in a game where the menus can’t even support 60 FPS on an iPhone 17 Pro Max, in the year 2026. Frustratedly writing this just because of how much potential this really has. I recently lost my account and contacted support and they were able to get my account back. I was honestly surprised they even got back to me and how quickly they were on top of it. You can tell they really care about there community and they are always putting new events updates and content out and the game has a really unique play style to it but most importantly NOT PAY TO WIN. This game doesn’t feel like after a little your handicapped and you have to spend money you can just play and have fun and it be fair, fun, competitive. Thank you Pocket Hockey Stars Dev and support team for making a great game, being involved in the community, and giving us fun on our downtime.
