I have hundreds and hundreds of contact management tasks for my business in here. The app has been glitching over the last several weeks. I have reached out through their support feature to get help to try to restore the app to working form. There have been zero responses from the Support area. It would appear that there is no one left in the company to support the app and to support its features and users. I am now left in a position where I will have to reestablish a decade of contact management notes into another system. After spending the better part of $1000 on this app, as well as on any additional features that they have provided, this is an unbelievable disappointment to be left with no one willing to assist a long time paying user. I would strongly discourage paying for this app if it is no longer supported by the company. Apple should do due diligence to find out what is going on here. ### 3/5 — Excellent calendar and task app but… *2026-07-25, version 6.04* The app works well on my iPhone and iPads, but doesn’t seem to sync my apple calendar and task lists on my MacBook Pro’s (M3 and M5). Likely a fault from an app update I suspect. This is very frustrating. Thank you for your patience, feedback, and for using Pocket Informant. ### 1/5 — All of a sudden I'm locked out of the app *2026-06-10, version 6.03* I am paid until December, and today I'm all of a sudden locked out of the app, I can't access my tasks which I need to see what I have assigned to do on each day… Very frustrating… And I paid $50 subscription fee and previously when the app first came out I paid for it outright… And now it's saying it's $42 annually so this is just not good ### 1/5 — No customer support *2026-06-10, version 6.03* Every year they stop my premium subscription 8 days before it is set to auto renew. And every year I have to try to track down support to get my app, which I paid for, to work again. This year however, they won’t respond, so I have no way to get it fixed. Very feature rich, which I appreciate, while wife uses it more simply. Love things like flexible full search of entire history (of tasks, calendar, notes), colour based tags, very configurable and multiple calendar views, configurable filtering, GTD support, integrated calendar and tasks in one view, configurable sync across devices, vertical calendar, full rich text support, drag/drop ordering of tasks, and more. Looks beautiful, feels nice to use, design is well thought out. Support when you need it (mostly). Most issues of the past have been sorted. App now running reliably and dependably. ### 4/5 — Good but few meaningful updates *2026-06-01, version 6.02* 01/01/26 Update: subscription price reduced from 29.99 to 21.99 since my last renewal which I believe is a fair price. Rating increased from 3 to 4 stars. 16/02/26 Update: signs of life?! The watch app syncing has been fixed. This is an excellent update and encouraging that there might be more updates in the future. Rating increased to 3 and I’m happy to increase it further if there are more meaningful updates this year. 09/11/25 Update: rating reduced to 2 stars, they increased the subscription price by 50% in 2025 it’s been another year of delivering zero meaningful updates. My renewal is due in the middle of next year and I think it might be time to switch to something more modern and being actively developed. I’ve been a very long time user of PI (10 years +) and it’s a really good app but I’m concerned that the company doesn’t appear to be investing in it to a level matching the relatively high cost. Take a look at the updates over the last year and it’s pretty much just bug fixes, I can’t remember the last time they released a significant new feature or improvement. ### 1/5 — 6.02 Update Wrecked App *2026-05-26, version 6.02* Been using this app since I switched from BlackBerry >7 years ago and it’s been pretty good… UNTIL THIS PAST WEEKEND-when now it’s useless. All my comments (phone nos., emails, important dates, etc.) for business appts. are gone! This is an unacceptable problem. I depend on this software and now I can’t function. No response since yesterday by support despite multiple requests for assistance (one yesterday and several today). I paid for a yearly subscription for the last 7+ years. If you depend on your calendar like I do-YIKES! I use this app every. single. day. I woke up this morning, opened it up and all of my data has completely disappeared. Matter of fact when I open the app it asks me if I want to subscribe and all my subscription features are now locked, but my yearly subscription renewed back in March 2026 and it was working fine up until this morning. I have no idea what happened. I tried to contact support to no avail. I can’t even get their website to work. Now I’m slumming it with the awful IOS calendar and reminder apps. If you continue to experience any issues, please contact our support team and we will be happy to help. ### 1/5 — Current update breaks subscription *2026-06-10, version 6.03* The current version of podcast informant Has broken its ability to recognize an active subscription, which is made the app much less useful despite my having paid for a subscription for many years. I’ve reached support multiple multiple times over the past 24 hours and have not received either a solution or a response at all. Everly on this app for many years, but this lack of testing and the incredible lack of response to outreach is extremely frustrating. ## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated) ### 5/5 — App is changing for the worse! *2026-07-29, version 6.04* With this recent change I can’t even enter a date in the task box without the actual date changing to that specific date. This is NOT the behavior that it was, not should be. In addition some while back they took away the ability to swipe on the left side and bring up a quick monthly scroll bar so you can quickly choose a date within a given month. This should for sure be reconsidered for us iPad users. While I have been a user for many years, I have more fully utilized its comprehensive features recently. I am consistently impressed by the range of options available. The application’s versatility allows it to accommodate my various workflows, and I have found great value in testing each feature to understand its full potential to fit my workflow. Specifically, the Project feature has become essential to my calendar organization, allowing me to categorize and manage both work and home tasks efficiently. I just showed the app to my sister who owns a reception center and has to schedule appointments and has projects. I am still learning all of it's features and looking forward to using the GTD Functionality. ### 5/5 — Terrific Calendar *2026-03-18, version 6.00* I’ve been using informant since shortly after it came out as Pocket Informant, probably a decade or more ago. My office recently switched from Google to Outlook and it was a mess. However, informant’s support gave me specific instructions on how I could use informant with Outlook and they worked perfectly And once again, I’m a happy Informant user. My five star review of informant that includes the app and a five star review of informant support service. They are quick, detailed and responsive. ### 5/5 — 34,99€ passe à 24,99€ *2026-03-14* Une rectification, par curiosité je suis venu voir comment avait évolué cette application. Normale puisque je l’ai utilisée depuis le début dès son apparition, je crois me souvenir c’était sur pocket pc. Vu les capacités très positives de cet outil qui mérite bien ses étoiles. Et ma désaffection a été le prix que j’ai trouvé bien trop cher. Je constate donc que sauf erreur le prix est passé cette fois de 34,99€ à 24€99. Cela mérite d’être cité et de réévaluer ma notation. On va se passer de cette application. 20,49€ l’année dernière c’était déjà bien payé. Mais 14,50€ d’augmentation même les pigeons finissent par se poser. Le pigeon dit merci et au revoir. Wife and I have been depending on this to organise our busy lives for so many years, with all our devices reliably and instantly synced. Very fully featured, very customisable views, look and behaviour, GTD, vertical calendar scroll, integrated calendar and tasks, full and quick keyword search through all of your calendar/task history, full backup and restore management (can find things from the past you may have deleted), tags, categories, colours, drag/drop sorting, actual text in month view calendar, etc, etc. All these things are so useful, and I've come to appreciate. And support is always there (tbh, sometimes responsive, sometimes not, but on the whole, pretty happy).
