It would be nice if the UI was based more around a real light meter, but functionally it’s great for checking white balance of lights on set and spot metering for film cameras. ### 4/5 — Needs a bug update. *2025-09-05, version 9.6.1* It’s a great, simple to use app and I’ve been using it for years. However, there’s a bug which causes the app to freeze and not respond to light changes (what is worse is that it is not obvious as the app seems to work normal, so it can lead to completely wrong readings). I hope it gets updated soon. On new iPhone 15 Pro updates it’s getting frozen quite a bit. Hopefully the developer will update it again ### 5/5 — Replaces my Sekonic Spot Meter, until iOS 18 broke it. *2024-11-25* Best light meter app I have found. It calibrates spot on and has since replaced my Sekonic L588. I shoot MF film on a regular basis and this app serves as meter, colour meter, digital proof and log book. I find it the most indispensable app, and one of the most used apps on my Apple devices. And then iOS 18 wreaked havoc on my apps! PLM still operates, but it locks the screen after about six seconds.
