## What is Pocket MIDI Mobile?

Connect your MIDI instrument to your smartphones or tablets, and start monitoring MIDI data from your MIDI instrument in real time.
It is also possible to operate your MIDI instrument with MIDI messages using this app.
Pocket MIDI Mobile is the perfect development/testing tool for your MIDI instruments and musical applications.

For MIDI Device communication, Core MIDI and MIDI over Bluetooth LE are both supported. However, Network MIDI is currently not supported.

### 3/5 — Great on Mac, buggy on ipad

*2021-10-31*

Purchased this to send sysex files to different hardware instruments, but the file browse and send capability in the app is not functional. It doesn't properly support files app and once a sysex file is moved to the correct folder, it ignores user input and will not send the file, though it shows it in a drop-down. The exact same .syx file works perfectly on the Mac version of pocketmidi, so assuming it is just an issue with the iPad app.

**Developer response:** Thank you for reporting this problem.
The .syx File appearing in the System Exclusive View's selection list is a bug.  You cannot open a .syx file.
This application can only open text files(.txt).
If you want to send messages in the System Exclusive View, save it to a text file, then move it to the 「Pocket MIDI」 folder in the 「Files」. 
You will then be able to select it from the list.

This bug will be fixed in the next version.
