I tried to download it to my iPad because of my eyesight but it will not load. I have tried several times and had to give up. This is very disappointing. Without the story preferences you can’t proceed. What kind of incomplete app is this, the designers of this app launched a half baked app. ### 1/5 — Options *2025-08-27* Dislike it before I even read anything, just on the setup it doesn’t give you a choice to only choose what book you like. The option it shows for me is to choose 3 books I like it have 9 books to choose from 8 of the book is romance 1 action. I hate romance so I only want to choose the action but it won’t take it. I have to choose 3 so i choose 2 random ones and now all the books it shows is a romance. You can’t get into the app because it says to enter your name, story preference ( for which there is no way to enter) and your age. Because you can’t enter the story preference you can’t continue. Looked everywhere for this book but nothing! ### 1/5 — Getting to read *2025-08-16, version 3.9.6* I down loaded the app but was unable to get passed the screen where you enter name, age, and preferences about what you like to read. Please fix! ### 1/5 — None *2025-08-01* I started to read a somewhat engaging story preview and decided to finish the story. Turns out I had already created an account and then deleted it in the past , but I signed in anyway. I was asked - no, required - to fill out a questionnaire regarding whether I preferred a female or male lead, and my age. I am an eclectic and voracious reader who will not choose categories or age related themes so I can be spammed with ‘appropriate’ title suggestions. I’ll continue to choose my reading material on my own. Sorry, Pocket Novel, bye-bye for good this time. ### 3/5 — Greedy app with bugs *2025-07-30* This app has good stories which I was enjoying. It definitely has a bug and doesn’t let you finish a chapter before jumping to the next so a lot of unnecessary back and forth which is frustrating . But now it has started pop up ads which interrupt constantly every few seconds and make reading very frustrating. It already had other ads. The owners have gotten greedy and are ruining their own app. ### 1/5 — Be More up front on how we must pay to watch!! *2025-07-27* I’m disappointed with the way you have to purchase coins!! I wish you had ways to earn coins! I need to remove myself because of this! ☹️. Why so many chapters per book?? It seems excessive! I’m not sure I’d recommend this site due to these facts! I read the chapter I have and wait for a couple days so I can have more to read. When I come back there are NOT any new chapters to read. The book I started reading has over 1000 chapters to read and at the pace I receive a new chapter it will be five years before I will be able to finish reading the book. ### 1/5 — Unusable *2026-02-21* The app literally won’t let me use it. When I attempt to make an account, it says “Unauthorized Request”. When I attempt to search a book, “Unauthorized Request.” I try to create an account using Apple ID, but it acts like I created an account, but never actually creates the account. So, cool deal. Pocket Novel lost a user today. ### 1/5 — Too expensive *2026-01-07* The books are decent, however the prices are absurd. Way too expensive. I know all the developers of these apps always defend themselves by saying they have to pay their writers. I understand that, but let’s face it, these books are not professionally written, and most are not professionally edited. They’re not worth the over $100 per book they end up being. It’s just not worth it. Even best sellers by professional authors don’t cost anywhere near that much, so please developers save the nonsense about having to pay your authors. They don’t need that much. Making their chapters so short that they have over 100 chapters for you to read and spend hard earned money on is absurd. I deleted it. ### 1/5 — App has bugs *2025-12-26* Haven’t been able to use as doesn’t allow for story preferences to be filled out so stuck that page with no way to proceed! ### 1/5 — Complete disappointment *2025-11-16* I started working on the app. I felt really good but then they said that I only had two languages to write in and those were Hindi and Tamil. What is that supposed to mean? English is an international language and must be supported everywhere. I can’t write it in Hindi. That’s far my callable . ### 1/5 — DON’T DOWNLOAD - IT IS A TRAP *2025-10-27, version 3.9.9* Takes FOREVER to read. A chapter is only 2-3 pages and most books are over 1,000 chapters. DON’T make the mistake of even starting it. They will NOT ALLOW PURCHASE OF ANY OF THEIR BOOKS!!!!! ### 1/5 — Horrible Horrible App! *2025-10-10* This app is the absolute worst!! It takes your money, says the chapters are unlocked but give only blank pages for three to four chapters in a row at times. As if this wasn’t bad enough, I get to chapter 221 for there to be an “error” message for two days. I give it a couple days and tried again only to get the same message. Tried deleting then reinstalling the app but it to took me to chapter 29 and blocked my going further. Monies down the drain and time wasted seem like the only guarantees with this app! A BIG RIPOFF!
