### 5/5 — I PASSED

*2026-07-17, version 3.28.0*

Thank you, Pocket Prep I passed today using your app!!!!!! I will say this you guys didn’t make it easy. You challenged me. You kept all the questions updated so it wouldn’t get repetitive, and those mock exams were hard but it paid off in the end!!!!

### 5/5 — PASSED MY EXAM

*2026-07-14, version 3.27.2*

### 5/5 — Great app!!

*2026-07-02, version 3.27.2*

I passed the NCE on the second try with this app. I didn’t incorporate this app into my studies for my first attempt and I failed. However, since using the app, I gained more confidence and I like how you can personalize the app.

### 5/5 — Great study material

*2026-06-30, version 3.27.2*

I have used this app twice to study for my LMSW-CC and LCSW exam. I did get the premium subscription but only did it a month at a time. I passed both exams on the first try with the help of the app. I loved the mock exams and questions of the day. App also provided explanations for answers whether correct or incorrect. Will always recommend

### 5/5 — Helped me pass

*2026-06-25, version 3.27.2*

Honestly, a really great app! I did 150 questions a day to help me prepare for the exam. While the questions don’t 100% reflect the exam questions (the exam questions are harder), it did help with consistency and getting familiar with answering questions. It also, just helped with understanding the information better.

### 5/5 — LMSW

*2026-06-25, version 3.27.2*

really helped!

### 5/5 — Ifeoma Nwafor

*2026-06-24, version 3.27.2*

This app was instrumental in my passing this exam today 6/23/26. The rationale was on point and I did amazing , finished 1 hr before the test time and scored high. I am glad I did the subscription. I highly recommend this app.

### 5/5 — LMFT Licensure

### 5/5 — Best tool out there

*2026-06-10, version 3.27.0*

### 5/5 — Passed on first try

*2026-06-09, version 3.27.0*

10/10. I just passed my ASWB exam today on the first try. I have been using this app for what says 300 days. Get it in your last internship rotations and do the daily questions. Yes it costs money but this is the only study tool other than YouTube that I used!!

### 5/5 — Great study aid

*2026-05-31, version 3.26.0*

Highly recommend you spend the time to work through all the questions. This format was helpful.

### 5/5 — Great Resource

*2026-05-30, version 3.26.0*

I recognized more questions on the CPCE that were similar to my learning in Pocket Prep than from the other study guide that I used. Plus, Pocket Prep is so convenient. I would study first thing when I woke up and then whenever I had a break- it would save my progress every time.

### 5/5 — CPCE Prep

*2026-05-21, version 3.26.0*

Used this app to assist in studying for the CPCE exam requires for graduation from my counseling masters program. Has been very helpful, and I did well on the exam. Highly recommend and definitely worth the cost for the premium subscription!

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Awful

*2026-07-15, version 3.27.2*

I reviewed and studied so many questions for the LCSW exam for CT. Seemingly NONE of those questions came up in the exam. I am beyond disappointed because so many people told me to use this app. I feel like I wasted my time using it to study.

### 1/5 — Steal

*2026-06-05, version 3.27.0*

I canceled my subscription and they still took $50 out of my account today.

### 1/5 — Factual errors

*2026-05-10, version 3.26.0*

I found several critical factual errors in the answer explanations. I reported them to Pocket Prep, and they confirmed that the explanations were indeed incorrect. That’s concerning for several reasons. Chief among them is that, given the price of the service, I reasonably expect high-quality and accurate prep materials. This is especially troubling considering the test bank is reportedly based on previously administered exam content.

I was also disappointed by the company’s response. There was no apology, acknowledgment of the seriousness of the issue, or offer of compensation.

More broadly, I question how meaningful their reported success rates are, since it seems unlikely that many test takers rely solely on the app for preparation. Thankfully, most people are probably supplementing with other study materials.

### 1/5 — Content needs work

*2026-04-03, version 3.25.0*

It’s a well-designed app, but a lot of the questions are unclearly worded and a few seem to have incorrect responses. I’ve sent at least four into the content team, each of which they’ve changed, and there were many I took issue with that I didn’t send in. I don’t think this app is worth the money if a student is consistently catching errors. Stick with the purple book

### 1/5 — Not Reliable

*2025-10-21, version 3.24.1*

Failed exam today. None of the test questions were on exam. Waste of money.

### 1/5 — This app is terrible.

*2025-04-22, version 3.21.1*

This app is terrible. Failed the test after doing 30 hours and 42 quizzes on this site. I aced most of the quizzes on Pocket Prep. Failed exam. Don’t use!!

### 1/5 — Doesn’t work

*2025-01-06, version 3.19.1*

Doesn’t work

### 1/5 — Not good for the CPCE

*2024-10-25, version 3.16.0*

The real exam looks a lot different that the mock questions in here.

### 1/5 — DO NOT RELY ON THIS FOR EPPP

*2024-09-26, version 3.16.0*

This app did not get me anywhere near a passing grade for my EPPP. Questions were NOT at all reflective of the questions from the exam. What a waste of time and money!

### 1/5 — Important info for anyone taking MSW exam

*2023-06-02, version 3.7.1*

I’ve heard lots of people recommending this app but I wouldn’t. I noticed I got a lot of questions that I didn’t know, which made me think that I needed this app to help me study. I started beating myself up for not knowing things which drove me to buy the $20 a month subscription. But upon further inspection, I noticed that a lot of questions weren’t from the KSAs and aren’t part of the exam at all! If you end up using it, know that your statistics (like at the end of a quiz) are rubbish because it’s going to pull questions from other professions. In the end, all it did was make me waste time learning things that aren’t relevant and made me question what I did know. If you found this review helpful, give it a thumbs up so others can see it!

### 5/5 — LMSW PASSED!!

*2026-08-12, version 3.28.1*

After recently passing my LMSW exam I knew I should share this.
I checked this app out after a friend recommended it so much and a website provided by my university stopped working after I graduated. Honestly Im glad that happened because this app is easy to use and has many ways to practice and test your knowledge. Besides I love how it explain why an answer is right or wrong. The premium version is definitely worth it! I only used the premium version for two months (3 in total before my test date) and having 3! mock test available helped me to test almost biweekly a month before the test. After doing many 10 quizzes, quiz of the day, and other free version quizzes I started use the “weakest subject” quiz 15-20 a time. And that also helped me to focus on that area and read the questions better: to find what exactly is being asked. Overall great app, will not stop recommending to other social workers and professionals that need to take a test like ASWB.

### 5/5 — Passed my exam!

*2026-08-11, version 3.28.1*

School was the most useful. Pocket prep was the second most useful!

### 5/5 — Passed w/Pocket Prep!

*2026-08-09, version 3.28.1*

Using pocket prep is THE reason I passed my LMSW exam! Highly recommend! Will use again when pursuing my C. Excellent resource!

### 5/5 — Mock exam was reflective of my actual score

*2026-08-08, version 3.28.1*

For context, I ONLY used pocket prep and Dr. Pam videos to study for the NCE. I passed on my first try. I took a mock exam about a week before my scheduled exam. When I finished my actual exam, my mock score was within .5% of my actual NCE score. Pocket prep is absolutely worth it! Good luck on your exams!

### 5/5 — Passed the new 2026 first try

*2026-08-04, version 3.28.1*

A great companion to the rest of my studying! The ability to adjust quiz length, focus on weak areas, review missed questions, and most importantly, ongoing and detailed stats made the studying process less overwhelming and did a ton to increase my skill and confidence for test day. The rationales explaining correct answers always made sense, but I prefer lecture-style learning and quiz practices, so I used pocket prep with agents of change! 10/10 endorse pocket prep for the new exam version! Thank you developers!!!!

### 5/5 — Test prep

*2026-08-03, version 3.28.0*

Really enjoyed using this for test prep to quiz myself anywhere.

### 5/5 — Great study guide

*2026-07-31, version 3.28.0*

5 stars

### 5/5 — Excellent Resource

*2026-07-30, version 3.28.0*

I have used this twice to help me study for licensing exams and passed both times on the first try. The stats, weakest subject and leveling up quizzes, and mock exams are great features. Correct answer explanations are helpful and provide references to primary sources for further review. The AI integration is poor and essentially reiterates the correct answer explanations, but everything else is excellent, with seamless cross-platform integration for studying on the go or in a dedicated office space.

### 5/5 — Passed my exam

*2026-07-25, version 3.28.0*

Gave me all the tools I needed.

If you study and use all the resources within the app. Study daily and focus on the questions a review. You will be able to pass your exam!

### 5/5 — LSW exam

*2026-07-21, version 3.28.0*

Thank you so much this app helped me so much in passing my exam yesterday!!!!!
