### 4/5 — Near Guaranteed Pass

*2026-06-06*

I used this app for the last 10 days before my exam and I found it to be a great source of new questions that I hadn’t seen before, all with very clear rationale and explanations. The variety and customization of quizzes was excellent. Only giving 4/5 stars due to the price per month rather than a 1-time fee for full access that didn’t expire (which I probably would’ve been willing to pay up to $100 for that kind of permanent access).

### 2/5 — Quizzes won’t let me move to next question

*2026-03-01, version 13.24.8*

I like the app and was about to pay for the subscription but when I go to take a quick 10 quiz it won’t let me move to the next question. Might need to find another study app now

### 4/5 — I passed! Good app, in depth questions, but a lot of questions they’ll never ask on the actual exam.

*2024-08-01*

The questions are very in depth, with good rationales, and they site their sources. Some repeated questions but worded differently, not too many though. It’s an easy and effective studying method for when you don’t have much time or you want to study on the go. The questions are WAAAY more complicated and wordier than anything you’ll see on the actual CCRN exam. I skimmed through the Barron’s book, I skimmed through the Ace the CCRN book, and I mostly did practice questions on this app. I suggest purchasing the AACN’s question bank as well in order to get a good understanding of what the actual test questions will look like. I had a lot of questions I wasn’t expecting and I hadn’t study at all for. AACN loves asking about obscure topics. Overall, I give the app 4 stars because it’s cheap and easy, but there’s a lot information you don’t need to know, and the questions don’t resemble the test. It’s good that they’re in depth for studying purposes, but AACN question bank is the way to go if you want to familiarize yourself with the test.

### 2/5 — Not worth it

*2024-02-26, version 13.11.0*

This app was a waste of money in my opinion. Looking over Barton’s and getting the question back from PASS CCRN has by far helped me out the most with my studying. The questions that are asked in this app are asking things that wouldn’t be part of a certain exam

### 3/5 — Good test taking strategy practice, but..

*2022-04-07*

This app is a good test taking strategy practice plus it gives you unconventional questions. However, some of the answers are inconsistent with AACN’s sources (i.e. AACN Essentials of Critical Care Nursing by. Suzanne Burns & Sarah Delgado). One of the question was with regards to the gold standard imaging approach for PE, the app says that it is pulmonary angiogram l, whereas in the book, it clearly states that it has already been replaced with CTPA as the new gold standard as it is minimally invasive and still has a high sensitivity to PE. So bottomline, good practice but know your sources.

### 4/5 — CCRN pocket prep

*2022-03-11*

Overall this app was very helpful. Some of the questions and explanations were misspelled, but you could still understand what it was asking. The daily question with the ability to set reminders to study were helpful. It was also nice to sort through topics and make your own quiz depending on what you wanted to practice. I used this app along with the AACN study guide questions and I passed the adult CCRN exam. No glitches while using the app.

### 4/5 — Passed the CCRN

*2020-04-04*

This is a nice app which I used for many hours studying. After taking the test, I was able to realize that the question format on this app is pretty different than the actual test. This app is good for instilling and teaching the basics needed for the test. However I also purchased the AACN practice test and it was significantly more similar to the actual exam. Overall I would use this app in conjunction to other methods. It is nice having a desktop option as well as the mobile.

### 5/5 — CRNA school advantage

*2019-12-29, version 6.7.6*

For me, CRNA school is the only reason to get my CCRN. It gives you a competitive edge that may just bump you a few people ahead. This app has been fun to use and I find it super informative! I wasn’t interested in buying a CCRN textbook to collect dust on my shelf. Really pleased with my purchase!

### 5/5 — Great to get this review online course.

*2019-10-24, version 6.7.3*

It’s Great

### 4/5 — Review

*2019-10-22, version 6.7.3*

I think the questions are good overall, but don’t feel like this app gives me a real test like experience so far. Stay tuned!

### 5/5 — CCRN

*2019-10-15*

Just passed the exam last Friday, this was only thing I used. I switched specialities in the last year which required a lot of knowledge refreshment and review so in a way that was me studying. Otherwise I went over this app and read all rationales to questions. I feel like the questions are helpful and provide good information but would recommend another resource.

**Developer response:** Congratulations on passing the CCRN exam and taking the time to leave us a review. We wish you the best! 🎉

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Bad questions

*2025-09-12, version 13.23.4*

I thought these were good question but realized they were just nursing school questions. I don’t think this adequately prepares you for the ccrn test.

### 1/5 — Stats

*2025-03-15, version 13.20.0*

Was not helpful at all

### 1/5 — Wrong rationales - not reliable

*2025-02-13, version 13.19.3*

Answer explanations are vital in active studying. Unfortunately, the rationales for several answers are incorrect (example: stating Octreotide causes vasodilation to reduce blood flow). When you know better, you know it’s wrong. If you don’t know better, you learn incorrect rationales.

### 1/5 — Not appropriate terminology

*2025-02-03, version 13.19.2*

This did not have anywhere near the appropriate terminology or required in-depth information needed for the adult CCRN. Completely wasted my money.

### 1/5 — Stats

*2025-01-18, version 13.19.2*

No accurate with reporting STATS! No sure where I am anymore. 🤦🏾‍♀️😔

### 1/5 — No longer supported

*2021-08-15, version 6.7.9*

App no longer supported, links to another app. Remove from App Store

### 1/5 — Won’t let me purchase

*2020-06-10, version 6.7.6*

I wanted to buy the ultimate plan but the links are broken and it won’t let me.

### 1/5 — 👎

*2019-10-23, version 6.7.3*

Some of the questions are repetitive. Dont think they resemble the actual test questions on test. Not worth the upgrade fee.

### 1/5 — False advertising

*2019-10-12, version 6.7.3*

I bought the premium version which promises 600 questions. There are so many repeat questions that it seems like there are only 200-300 original questions (and that is being generous). That is the very definition of false advertisement. I attempted (twice) to get answers through the app to address the problem, but was dismissed and ignored. I will be reporting to the Better Business Bureau and see where it goes from there. App NOT worth the money.

### 1/5 — Boo

*2019-08-13, version 6.7.3*

Poor quality questions. Too easy. Get a real CCRN book to study

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Very helpful

*2026-04-22, version 13.26.0*

I did approximately 1800 of the 2000 questions available and passed the CCRN exam. The questions weren’t exactly the same but the concepts were and the rationales were VERY helpful. Highly recommend

### 5/5 — Passed with 91%!!!

*2025-12-02, version 13.24.4*

Pocket Prep was amazing, I passed with a 91% on my first try

### 5/5 — CCRN

*2025-11-13*

This app was extremely helpful in passing. I used it with the Barron’s Adult CCRN test prep book. Go through the book, understand the content, take the practice exams at the end and then do the practice questions in this app. There are 2,000 practice questions. I did about 1200 and passed with an above average score. Best of luck !

### 5/5 — Very helpful

*2025-01-11, version 13.19.1*

The app has so many certification reviews and I have been able to move from one to another while preparing for multiple certifications and indecisive. The CCRN section is extremely helpful

### 5/5 — So Helpful!

*2024-10-15*

I just passed my CCRN on the first try, and this pocketbook has been so helpful!! I have a difficult time making myself do practice questions, but the QOTD and quizzes that got harder and harder made it easy to go through them with my busy schedule. Thank you so much!

### 5/5 — Worth paying for the upgrade

*2024-09-06, version 13.14.3*

Great app! Used this to study for my CCRN and passed. It was 100% worth paying for the upgraded version! I saw a lot of similar questions on the exam.

### 5/5 — Good so far

*2024-06-07, version 13.14.0*

Good questions. Good rationales.

### 5/5 — CCRN

*2024-02-22, version 13.11.0*

I used this app in addition to the Barron’s CCRN book and the Pass CCRN book’s online question bank and passed the CCRN on the first try. The questions in the app were very similar to the questions on the test.

### 5/5 — Review

*2020-03-29, version 6.7.6*

Great tool

### 5/5 — Ultimate = Pass 1st time

*2020-03-19*

5 stars because app does what it says it will do: I passed the first time taking the CCRN exam.

Got the ultimate because of their guarantee. Did all questions on their test bank at least once & carefully read the rationales. If I was unclear about something I would look it up myself, if the rationale was not lacking for me.

Did all the questions in 1 week... could have prepared better, but in the end passing is what matters.
