### 4/5 — CSCS Study Prep

*2026-02-28, version 3.24.8*

I’m very impressed with this app. Would highly recommend to most people looking to pass their CSCS. I just passed both sections today on my first try. The questions are sometimes more difficult than what you see on the exam, but they are very close.

### 5/5 — Pocket Prep is essential!

*2025-09-26, version 3.23.5*

Just passed my exam today! The repetition and insight provided by this app was tremendous and I highly recommend it to anyone who is trying to develop some consistent self-testing habits

### 5/5 — Great!

*2025-08-18, version 3.23.0*

Had this app for years. It helped me study for my cpt, my cscs, and now they have the BOC. I remember asking if they would add the BOC 2 years ago, and to see them actually add it is amazing. So thank you pocket prep

### 5/5 — I passed!

*2025-07-21, version 3.22.4*

Great app, easy interface, helped me pass my CSCS exam on my first attempt!

### 2/5 — Wish I could buy

*2025-07-14, version 3.22.3*

Wish I didn’t need to pay a subscription fee, rather a one time lifetime fee. Like before.

### 5/5 — CSCS

*2025-06-01, version 3.21.2*

Helped me pass CSCS, thanks for the help. Work in union with textbook and a couple online assessments through NSCA. Definitely important to take one of the practice exams just like the real thing each month on a 3 month prep.

### 5/5 — I passed!

*2025-05-23, version 3.21.1*

PocketPrep helped me pass both sections of the CSCS exam today. I couldn’t have done it without it. It provided a huge help in giving me a solid base for studying and gave me reminders and motivation to consistently study.

### 5/5 — Perfect

*2025-04-11, version 3.21.0*

Just passed the NSCA CPT test and this app was really helpful in helping me see what I needed to focus on with my studying and was great with refreshing memory.

### 5/5 — Best Review App

*2025-04-02, version 3.20.0*

Used this for the NSCA CSCS exam. All I used was this app to study for 2 weeks, scored an 86% overall. The practice questions on this app are harder than the actual exam. If you do well on this, you’ll be fine

### 5/5 — Helped me pass

*2025-03-11, version 3.20.0*

Pocket Prep guided my studying. I used the questions to help determine the parts I need to focus on on more. The app reference pages in the book so that was very helpful.

### 5/5 — Excellent study prep!

*2025-01-15, version 3.19.1*

I studied using Pocket Prep for the CSCS and passed both portions of the exam the first time. I’m grateful to have been able to use pocket prep and I highly recommend it to anyone wanting to pass the CSCS.

### 5/5 — I passed my NASM!

*2025-01-14, version 3.19.1*

This app was a life saver! It truly was one of the best study sources I had during my journey. I am truly thankful for it!

### 5/5 — Amazing

*2025-01-03, version 3.19.1*

This was my only resource I used to prep for the CSCS exam and was extremely helpful for preparing me. That being said I did have prior exposure to most of the material via undergraduate degree and doctorate degree. However I found the practice questions, accessibility, and difficulty of this app to be sufficient enough to prepare me for this exam.

### 3/5 — Iconic fail

*2024-12-14, version 3.19.1*

Icon update with an iconic fail. The question of the day no longer works, it doesn't allow me to submit an answer. My 120 day streak is broken.

Updated review: problem is fixed in the app for question of the day, 1 week later. I'm still salty about my 120 day streak being snapped.

### 5/5 — Study Buddy

*2024-12-13, version 3.19.1*

A few bugs here and there with updates, but extremely helpful study app!

### 4/5 — Very informative

*2024-12-09, version 3.19.0*

I really enjoy this app, I love how it tells me when an answer is right or wrong. $20 a month seems a little high, especially when there are bugs. Every time I submit a quiz it tells me there was an error and to try again. However I have not found another app like this.

### 5/5 — Crushed my exam!

*2024-12-09, version 3.19.0*

This app helped immensely in my study time. After having gone through the whole ACE CPT textbook, I relied mostly on this app to help me prepare for my exam. It was so helpful in showing me where I needed to focus more, where I was already doing well, etc. I love the ability to flag questions I want to revisit, that was a huge help. Cannot recommend this strongly enough 👌🏻

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — ISSA not on the app

*2026-05-09, version 3.26.0*

Description and screenshots of the app say ISSA is available but it is not

### 1/5 — Doesn't work

*2025-12-31, version 3.24.5*

App doesn't work. When I requested a password link to my email it says my email is invalid.

### 1/5 — Worthless

*2025-05-07, version 3.21.1*

Don’t waste your money on ACSM-CEP. Absolutely did not prepare me at all. Waste of time, money, and the money paid to take the certification. Horrible experience.

### 1/5 — Irrelevance

*2024-06-25, version 3.14.0*

Just failed my CSCS exam. Used this app to study for almost 2 month and still failed the second exam. Most of the stuff on this app wasn’t even relevant to what was on the exam. Gets into very general stuff but nothing specific which is necessary to pass the exam. Totally screwed me. I’ll be taking a different route for the retake. Never again will I use this app.

### 1/5 — Don’t download if you’re taking the NASMCPT exam

*2023-11-09, version 3.9.4*

First off, as soon as you give your email it asks for money. Im not paying $20 on top of paying $2k just for the NSAM course. It should b free. Even worse, a lot of these questions are incorrectly labeled as incorrect when you answer them. The info from NASM is wrong, I can’t trust this app.

Will stick with the NSAM study guide.

### 1/5 — Studying for the EP

*2023-03-10, version 3.6.8*

I studied and reviewed all 500 questions for the exercise physiologist portion and it had almost no carry over to the actual exam, very disappointed that I used this for a large portion of studying.

### 1/5 — Questions

*2022-09-28, version 3.6.2*

The questions in here are nothing like the questions in the Essentials of Strength Training and Conditioning.

### 1/5 — What book are they using?

*2022-04-08, version 3.3.0*

I downloaded the app to help prep for my ACE PT exam. Page references were not the same as in my book, and a bunch of terminology in the quizzes is not in my book. Maybe this app is out of date? I just received my book in January, and it matches up with what is on the ACE website, so I don’t think my book is the problem. Complete waste of money for me, just undermined my confidence making me think I didn’t know anything when I didn’t recognize the terms used in the quizzes, only to find out they weren’t in my book at all.

### 1/5 — Help!

*2020-10-30, version 1.7.2*

Initially I thought what a brilliant idea and has been using the basic free version. As it seemed so good, I signed up for monthly access to more questions, at a pricey £19 plus per month. However the app does seem to realise I have been paying now for 2 months for the premium version and continues to give me only the basic free access. I am now a whopping £40 out of pocket. Can someone please contact me I need a refund!

### 1/5 — Bad customer service

*2020-08-19, version 1.6.1*

This was recommended to me by a NASM customer service agent, but turns out it didn’t have my test on there (I was told AFAA PFT and NASM CPT we’re compatible, then later told by a NASM support service team that they’re not). Now nobody will even reply when I reach out for a refund! Don’t get it because if there’s ever a customer service issue, you get screwed out of $50.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Excellent Qbank for CSCS

*2026-08-26, version 3.29.0*

Great questions and explanations. Great user interface. The questions themselves were actually slightly harder than the questions were on my exam, which is a good feature.

### 5/5 — TSAC prep

*2026-08-06, version 3.28.1*

Pocket Prep was a great tool for the preparation of this test. The questions in pocket prep are not exactly word for word what you see on the actual TSAC test, but similar enough to ingrain and reinforce the concepts and your understanding through repetition.
I felt comfortable during the TSAC test in large part due to this study tool.
Thank you Pocket Prep

### 5/5 — great!

*2026-03-05, version 3.24.8*

Huge help for CSCS prep! passed first attempt

### 5/5 — Best App for Fitness Professionals

*2026-02-14, version 3.24.8*

In terms of exam prep apps, it doesn’t get better than Pocket Prep. I am currently using it to prepare for my TSAC-F exam next month, and have already passed two prior exams which got me into my professional career using almost exclusively Pocket Prep. Do not hesitate to purchase their paid version. They have a pass guarantee!!!

### 5/5 — NSCA CSCS

*2026-02-11, version 3.24.7*

Great app helped me apply what I learned from the book gave page number references for missed questions. I passed my CSCS with the help of this app do recommend to invest in yourself it will make a difference.

### 5/5 — It Works!

*2026-02-06, version 3.24.7*

I passed my CSCS on the first attempt and I used this for 95% of my learning and study. My readiness report was a 6.8 and I got a 79% on both sections so there’s that too. I highly recommend pocket prep.

### 5/5 — Passed my exam!

*2025-12-30, version 3.24.5*

NSCA-CSCS Pocket Prep is truly the reason I passed my exam. It’s pretty much what taking the exam feels like. Great metric for understanding the wording behind the question. Some of the questions were on my actual exam! Would highly recommend to anyone looking to use in conjunction with reading the textbook to pass your exam.

### 5/5 — Better than the practice exams

*2025-12-29, version 3.24.5*

Really appreciated this app. Enjoy the practice exams over those with the certification package. The explanations were very helpful. Also appreciated the question of the day, quizzes and level up! Uses this for a little under 3 weeks and passes the exam.

### 5/5 — ACSM EP-C

*2025-12-16, version 3.24.5*

This app is a very useful tool. I passed using mainly the all, but i was also taking my college’s review course that prepares you for the exam aswell. The questions are formatted similar to the ones on the exam. I swear I had a question from PP on my exam. I did not buy the Certification Review book from ACSM nor the guidelines book, I believe I would have scored higher with those resources however a pass is a PASS!!

### 5/5 — Great study tool

*2025-10-16, version 3.24.0*
