### 2/5 — Minimum to no help

*2026-07-11, version 3.27.2*

Worded questions and long winded scenarios that have little to no bearing on the real exam. Totally disappointed in this app as far as what it’s promoted as. Waste of time and money; c/x’d subscription.

### 4/5 — Great App but…

*2026-07-05*

Great app I only wish it had additional features such as flash cards for each exam to better help with retaining information. I’ve used this app for all my IT certifications thus far and just happen to realize it does not offer the Data+ exam which is unfortunate since I’m taking that cert in the next few months. All in all it’s a great app I just hope they do include a flash card feature for all the terms for each exam and to for them to add missing certs like Data+ to make the paid version more worth it.

### 3/5 — Too expensive

*2026-05-25, version 3.26.0*

So I’ve paid for many different tests to study for. However, after a certain amount of questions, it gets repetitive. They will ask the same questions three times but in a different way.

In my opinion, the paid subscription isn’t worth it.

### 4/5 — Flashcard

*2026-02-24, version 3.24.8*

Please add flashcard section

### 2/5 — Great app but they are thefts

*2026-01-31, version 3.24.7*

I used this app for roughly a month and ended up my paid subscription of three months but the app still tried to charge me when I went to see if I uninstalled it correctly and confirmed it was I couldn’t believe they tried to charge me again

### 5/5 — Passed!!

*2025-11-24, version 3.24.4*

did every question on here and it definitely gave me the knowledge to pass my sec+

### 5/5 — Helpful and Well Designed App

*2025-11-23*

I successfully earned my CompTIA Security+ certification, and Pocket Prep played a big part in my study journey. I didn’t rely on the app alone, but it made it incredibly easy to identify my knowledge gaps and focus on the areas where I needed improvement. The subscription price does feel a bit high, but it was absolutely worth it to me. The clean design, intuitive interface, and well sourced questions really stood out. I also loved the Stats feature, which helped me track my progress and stay motivated. While I wish the sources included author names, the app overall is excellent, and I’ll definitely use it again for future exams.

### 3/5 — Bug

*2025-10-22, version 3.24.1*

Every time I get the 8 in a row screen the app stops working

### 4/5 — Great study tool when you have downtime.

*2025-10-16, version 3.24.0*

The app is pretty good and most of the questions are out of the certification guide. I would’ve gave it five stars, but it seems to be lacking in performance based questions which are a good portion of the actual exam.

### 5/5 — Great companion

*2025-10-05, version 3.23.5*

This is a great companion app for any IT professional!

### 5/5 — Great App, Great Study Material

*2025-10-03, version 3.23.5*

Passed the A+, Net+, and Sec+ and this app played a big part in that

### 5/5 — Extremely Useful

*2025-09-20, version 3.23.4*

No complaints at all. The app features many questions with many different ways to study. Loved the mock exam feature (as well as multiple mock exams) and the ability to “customize” your own quiz on areas you decide you need to improve on. I usually don’t write reviews nor pay for premium versions, but paying for just one month is extremely worth it to prepare for your exam!

### 5/5 — Passed!

*2025-09-11, version 3.23.2*

Passed!!!! Thanks so much! Excellent prep. Hope they add pba soon!

### 4/5 — Passed Security+

*2025-09-05, version 3.23.2*

Complete all practice questions and you are maybe 80% there with completing the exam. I would recommend finding one other practice exam provider and doing those to prepare you for different wording styles. Also, definitely practice PBQs elsewhere (not possible on this app) I had 4 on my exam!

### 5/5 — Passed my cert test, thanks!

*2025-09-01, version 3.23.1*

Thank you! This app def helped me be better prepared for the test. Thank you ! Security+

### 5/5 — Passed Sec+

*2025-08-31, version 3.23.1*

I used just this app to pass. But I barely passed. I did over 650 questions from the 1300 sec+ questions. If I have to study again I would do all 1300 plus add some labs. The test questions were more scenario based very similar to the app questions. Please study the acronyms and focus on what the question is looking for like BEST or MOST likely.

### 5/5 — I passed my CISSP using PocketPrep Question

*2025-07-25*

I passed my CISSP today and the only question banks I used were the 1000 questions on PocketPrep. I did them over and over. The reason was because I knew that understanding the concept was important and pocket prep may not be as difficult as others out there, it does a good job of testing your knowledge of the understanding of the concepts. Plus, the exam is not as hard to require hard practice questions that some give. Yes, I did most of the sybex chapter questions, again, to test my understanding of the concepts taught in the chapters, not to cram or get a feel of the questions.

So thank you to Pocketprep! Highly recommended!

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Trash

*2026-04-16, version 3.26.0*

Questions are worded no where near the test.

### 1/5 — Outdated information

*2026-03-10, version 3.24.9*

Yeah I was studying for the compTIA Tech+ and this app kept giving me questions that has nothing to do with the current learning objectives list… So it was extremely frustrating to me. Hopefully they fix this.

### 1/5 — Really bad application

*2025-07-30, version 3.22.5*

Graded at over 80% on pocket prep. Took the test today. I failed the test and not one single topic that this app covered was on the test!

### 1/5 — Absolutely terrible questions for CMMC CCP

*2025-06-06, version 3.22.0*

I am very disappointed in the quality of the question and answer bank. Too many questions were worded very poorly leaving you to wonder what is being asked, and there were too many questions with multiple answers that were correct. It seems like whoever made the test bank does not have any experience with IT or Cybersecurity.

### 1/5 — No way to cancel

*2025-05-28, version 3.21.1*

I didn’t find the app helpful and I can’t cancel it. It has been removed from my phone and I never got any help with the issues I experienced with this app.

### 1/5 — Cysa003 Failed

*2025-01-18, version 3.19.2*

Beware the information provided on the pocket prep is not nearly enough for preparation. You are better off using the book as your main study guide

### 1/5 — Middling

*2024-12-18, version 3.19.1*

The SSCP questions are terrible, poor explanations or outright wrong at times. The CompTIA material is ok, but I would avoid it for anything else.

### 1/5 — Not suitable for your main exam “prep”

*2024-12-15, version 3.19.1*

I’ve used pocket preps EMS version and that was amazing. I expected this to be just as good and was not. I used it for Network+ to study when I couldn’t be on a computer. There are a lot of questions that were not applicable to Network+. Also at $20/mo it is way too expensive since it can only be used as an addition to study material. I would recommend the makers use a different source to pull their questions from.

### 1/5 — Absurd price

*2024-09-20, version 3.16.0*

The price for the prep is unreasonable. It’s $20 a month and the questions are a little dated. Not worth it. They took a great app at a reasonable pricing and ruined it.

### 1/5 — Not a single free question and constant error popups.

*2024-08-19, version 3.14.2*

There isn't a single free question available. Immediately upon downloading I'm informed I have to purchase any additional questions.
Not like that matters since I can't click a single thing given all of the "there was a problem" fatal error pops I encounter.
Don't provide a free app if there's not a shred of free content.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Passed Sec + & Network +

*2026-04-29, version 3.26.0*

Passed Sec+ & Network+ & they supplied the code to the military ❤️❤️ Thank you! Yall are the real MVP PREPPED ME for the exam & everything. 5/5 stars PASSED !!!.

### 5/5 — Sec+ 701

*2026-04-11, version 3.25.0*

Used this daily in my pursuit of the Security+ certification. The ability to view the different sections of the exam and focus on your weak areas was a huge help. Passed on first attempt. This is a great tool to use daily, best to use this along with other source material (in my case, Messer and Dion)

### 5/5 — All-in-one Solution

*2026-03-26, version 3.25.0*

Pocketprep is arguably all you need for just about any certification these days. However, I think it would be wise and beneficial for the developers to add a glossary section or something similar to sort of scroll through all the terms to centralize studying in that particular fashion, as it’s all multiple choice questions and switching it up may prevent fatigue.

### 5/5 — Perfect study companion

*2026-03-21, version 3.24.10*

I almost exclusively studied CISSP with Pocket Prep and I just passed this afternoon! The Question of the Day and nightly study reminders I set up were the perfect way to keep the knowledge at the forefront of my mind leading up to my exam.

### 5/5 — Passed CISSP

*2026-02-18, version 3.24.8*

Absolutely great questions but be warned you could do all the questions twice over and still be surprised come test time.

### 5/5 — Cool beans!

*2026-02-17, version 3.24.8*

👌🏾

### 5/5 — Good Stuff

*2026-02-15, version 3.24.8*

This is an amazing and and worth it. It has so much to offer. The set up is super cool.

### 5/5 — No More Excuses To Not Study

*2026-02-10, version 3.24.7*

This application was important to help me along my study journey to achieve my CompTia Network+ certification. The content was fresh, relevant and delivered in a digestible way. Having 24/7 access to test my knowledge allowed me to be flexible and adjustable for my study methods as they changed.

### 5/5 — Best mobile prep app

*2025-12-31, version 3.24.5*

This is absolutely the best mobile prep app. Great questions, great feature rich UI, great experience. A must have when studying for an exam!

### 5/5 — Passed My Sec+ First Try

*2025-12-19, version 3.24.5*

Great app for studying and preparing for any certification exam they offer. I used it along with other studying methods and it was wonderful. They give you stats on how you’re doing and offer different test/quizzes to prepare. It was a great tool and I highly recommend it if you’re serious about passing your exam. Scheduling your exam date helps stay on track.
