The way the questions are worded and the content it covers closely correlate to the actual exam. Only thing that is a bit different is the mock exam isn’t quite like the real thing which is why I also suggest doing the ASWB practice exam as well, but overall this app helped me immensely. I studied for about 2-3 hours starting 10 days before my actual exam and I felt prepared and passed on the first try. Grateful for this app or else I don’t know how else I would’ve prepared myself. ### 5/5 — Passed on First Try! *2025-06-08* I used Pocket Prep’s premium version as my only study tool for my ASWB Masters Exam and I passed on my first try. I studied every other day for about 40 days and I completed 700 of the 1000 practice questions. I feel that the Pocket Prep content is very similar to the exam content, and in fact, I think many of the Pocket Prep questions are trickier than the actual exam questions. A helpful tip when using this program is to always redo the questions you got incorrect. Overall, this is program is a phenomenal study tool. The questions on Pocket Prep are marginally more difficult than the ones that I saw on the ASWB exam. I was averaging 70% on Pocket Prep questions when I took my exam. Some of the wording on the actual exam is different/confusing, so I would recommend looking at ASWB practice questions as well. Using the app everyday really kept me on my toes and helped me to retain information, especially when it came it repetition. Not everyone can afford all these special packages and the old one was perfect for basic help and I lost all my progress. Unfortunately I read false reviews that indicated that several questions seen on the exam were exactly and/or very similar to what they saw on the prep study guide; WRONG, I didn’t see one exact or close to similar question on the exam, this made me very anxious. The prep study guide is good if you want to see different scenarios and apply your knowledge but won’t be much help for the LMSW exam. ### 1/5 — 800 Questions??? *2019-12-04, version 6.7.6* There are many repeat questions. ### 1/5 — DON’T BUY THIS! *2019-05-22* Whatever you do, do NOT pay for the full version of the app. I paid for the highest version of the app, which claims you get 800 practice questions. That is not the case! Every day I take practice questions on this app, and I am continually given the same questions I’ve answered before. I have been given many of the same questions three or four times. The app keeps track of how many of the 800 questions you have left, and the number continues to go down. Aka every time they give me a question I’ve answered before, they subtract from that 800. There is no way there are 800 questions in this app. After answering over 150 questions, and getting so many repeats, I would guess there probably aren’t more than 250 questions. Also, the questions do not at all resemble the ones on the ASWB practice exam. Long story short, do not buy this app. It’s a scam, misleading, and a waste of your money. The app has a lot of bugs that should be fixed especially since users are required to pay to a fee to have access to the premium version; other than that, I believe this app is AMAZING in terms of preparing for the actual exam! The questions on the actual exam aren’t as detailed as the questions on the app, but the app is great for learning the content that may appear on the exam. I would recommend taking the ASWB practice exam to get a genuine feel for how the questions will be worded on the actual exam. ### 1/5 — Password reset/Exam Readiness *2018-11-07, version 6.5.6* I have sent several requests for a password reset. It’s been a day and a half with no response. I also sent a message through the message center online, also no response. How can I get help with this matter?? Also when the app is set to reset progress the Exam Readiness stats do not ever reset. So how can you know whether you are prepared to take the actual exam. I have corresponded with them about this on more one occasion. With them saying that it would be dealt with in the next update. That was mid September when I brought this to there attention. Then one day, I clicked to study and it states that it an invalid address. However, the questions are often not written like the actual exam and are far harder than they need to be.
