I thought I had a solid baseline how the processes, organizations, etc. but I think I fell into the trap of memorizing questions instead of workflows. Really frustrating knowing I spent hours upon hours for 2-4 months studying with pocket prep. Will not be using it for my second attempt for my test. The daily questions, explanations, and ability to practice in small pockets of time made it easy to stay consistent. I used it alongside my other study materials, but this was the tool that really helped reinforce concepts and get me thinking the right way for the exam. The explanations are clear, and the repetition helps with pattern recognition, which is huge when you’re under pressure on test day. If you’re serious about passing, this is definitely worth it. I have worked in the events industry for about a decade but much of the terminology used in the exam is pretty specific to the CMP, and the Manual is quite dense. PocketPrep’s quizzes and questions were well structured, quick, and relevant to the actual exam, I think more so than the paid practice exams offered by the EIC. The simple, easy to navigate layout and bite sized quiz options made it easy to hop in for a few minutes here and there when I didn’t have time for a dedicated study session. I could also spend hours in the app if I wanted to grind, especially in the days before the test. This was especially helpful because I self managed my studies. The Level Up quizzes were the best resource leading up to the exam itself because of the way it repeated missed questions to reinforce weak concepts. All in all, a helpful and effective study tool for the CMP. I would recommend to candidates who are self-managing their studies or want a daily/regular resource to stay fresh. Great content, and I love that they actually give full breakdowns into why the answer options were right or wrong. Lots of good quick study options like the daily 10 questions quiz and the question of the day, as well as options to review your weaker subjects and missed questions. On the first pass of the 500 test bank I scored a 82%, on the second pass, 88%. I was so confident going in and as soon as the test started asking question it seemed like a completely different material. There were techniques, analysis and other things on the test I had never heard of. I definitely don’t feel comfortable using this app for the retake, much less other test such as the PMP, PBA and others, which I planned to use for those test provided this one went well. I was scoring on build exams 74, 75, 76, 77, and the final day 80, but I feel it was for nothing because the day of the exam I was in my zone, or at least I felt like it. I flanked the exam so badly that it made me laugh after viewing that I didn’t pass it because it felt like it was going to be a cakewalk. The questions and answers on the app for the CAPM are challenging, but the questions on the exam were way more buffed that my results were below average. ### 1/5 — Teaches Incorrect Info! *2025-05-15, version 3.21.1* This can’t be the same app that was recommended to me my multiple people. A vast majority of the situational question answer choices were so easy you literally don’t even have to read the question to be able to answer it. I decided to keep going hoping the questions would get more helpful but decided it would actually be potentially detrimental to keep using this app when it blatantly said that national origin is not covered under the Civil Rights Act. That didn’t sound right to me so luckily I looked it up but who knows what other false information it might have.
