The drawer's wildfire context section makes the role of soil moisture explicit: it's a slow-changing antecedent indicator that complements — never replaces — RH, wind, 1/10-hr fuel moisture, and ERC/BI • Operational interpretation built-in — read multi-depth divergence ("shallow recovering while deep stays low = surface masking underlying drought") and structural drying patterns directly in-app • Suspect-reading detection — when one depth reads dramatically drier than its neighbors while soil temps match, Pocket RAWS flags it in yellow.
