But there’s so much to be desired and a ton of work the developers need to make this a premier EME system. Basic functions on the iPhone app like Narcotic prescriptions can’t be sent on your iPhone but are ok on the IPad. Creating an appointment. Creating more starting a progress note. The iPad app itself has major flaws which I’ve brought to the attention of the developers as well but to no response or change. Wish they cared more about improving their own software. You have to delete it and reinstall it all the time to even get functionality and Face ID almost never works. For the amount of money these guys get paid every month they should really hire some better IT professionals! ### 1/5 — Simply Awful *2022-07-22, version 6.2.0* EMA offers our practice a negative return form it’s cost. The Mod Med EHR has no (zero) benefits regarding workflow, paperwork, outcomes, time savings, inter-operative communications with other practices, safety or costs. In addition, I’m sure they monetize the PHI physicians pay to input along with patient skin photos. My advice to anyone thinking about leasing this software is to avoid at all costs including Govt fines. ### 2/5 — Mildly helpful *2021-11-18, version 5.27.0* Needs a lot of work. Crashes every time! ### 1/5 — Does not work *2014-04-18, version 2.0.1* I downloaded this hoping it would help with practicing using ema for work but after I downloaded it I was not able to log in since it keeps telling me I have an internet error I tried restarting my phone and trying wifi and 3G but the error keeps popping up when I try to log in. We need to be able to place blocks on our schedules and it should give us a little indicator of the total patient number on the schedule for that day. ### 1/5 — I wish I didn’t have to use this app *2025-12-29* God bless anyone who has to use this application. Every time they update they lose some kind of function unintended. I know they mean well. But the outcome is never as intended. Currently, when you try to add photos to the chart, the app crashes. Which is a bummer because every patient needs multiple pictures added to their chart. When I say my nightly prayers, this development team hits the rotations. Please please make this better. ### 1/5 — Results are a disaster *2025-11-20* Unified results are an unmitigated disaster. I can no longer save anything I sign in the results section. Terrible “upgrade. ” As I write this, I am watching a never-ending “please wait” with a marching status bar. No problems with the internet, just another awful day with ModMed. The worst EMR I have ever used. Don’t do it!!! ### 1/5 — Awful *2025-11-12* Not user friendly, tasks are worthless as you cannot do anything from them and medications are way too many clicks to send a medication. We were sold on these aspects being better and they are way worse. ### 1/5 — Horrible *2025-11-11, version 7.11.0* Modmed in general has been horrible for ortho. It’s like you’re allowed to use more than one color. ### 1/5 — So Bad *2024-02-06* Literally this app is so bad. It is completely limited to the point of being worthless. I can’t edit anything, access imaging. What is the point of this? The charting system itself has its fair share of errors and poor upkeep but the app is on a whole other level. You cannot even search a patient anymore without the app crashing when you try to enter 3-4 characters of a patient’s name, MR #, or DOB. The face recognition software is also garbage. Do yourself a favor and avoid this app at all costs. **Developer response:** Thank you for your review. Further, it charged me for something I can’t even use. How do I get my money back? ## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated) ### 4/5 — Works relatively well *2017-10-20* I use this app several times a week to check intramail, look up patient information while on call, check my schedule etc. Would love to have the ability to see and respond to tasks- this is a major component that is missing for those of us that use tasks in our office workflow for patient messages/refill requests etc. ### 3/5 — Incomplete *2023-11-17* I feel like tasks have to be included in the app. Our practice uses those way more than intramail and I was hoping to be able to catch up on work on the go. Another thing is inability to attach a document in Attachments. Photos is the last thing that should be offered. Instead it is the ONLY one. I just keep receiving an error message stating “failed to read access token”. ### 3/5 — Lacking Functionality *2022-03-23* What has been added to the app does work but obvious features like viewing tasks are missing. Certainly a top way this could be helpful would be to view your tasks, respond, etc. Please update! ### 3/5 — Work in Progress *2022-03-13* Makes it easy to check my daily schedule and what time my first patient is but there are a couple things that should be fixed. The schedule often displays the wrong date, should have an ability to see/address tasks, should be able to see how many patients I have scheduled on a certain day. ### 3/5 — Missing a lot of functionality *2020-04-30* Would love to look up patients by encounter date.
