## What is PocketKnife Art?

PocketKnife Art is a simple, focused sketchbook for iPad and iPhone — draw and paint on a blank canvas or pull in a picture and express your artistic side.  Pick your colors, your medium, even your canvas background.  Save everything right on your device and share just like any other picture with your iOS device. No account, no subscription, no clutter.

DRAW & PAINT
Switch between a crisp Drawing mode for clean ink lines and a Painting mode with five brushes that each behave differently:
- Watercolor — translucent, bleeds and swells with how fast you move
- Oil — solid strokes with visible bristle texture
- Acrylic — flat color with a glossy highlight down the center
- Gouache — perfectly flat, matte coverage
- Airbrush — soft, blurred spray that builds up where you linger

ERASE FOR REAL
Erase mode removes exactly what you touch — a true transparent hole, not a paint-over — so your canvas background color can always change later without leaving odd patches behind.

COLOR & SIZE, YOUR WAY
Pick from ready-made color swatches or dial in any shade with a full hue/saturation color wheel. Twelve pen and brush sizes cover everything from a fine hairline to a broad eraser stroke, and your last few custom colors are always one tap away.

TRACE A PHOTO
Import a picture from your Photos library or the Files app and it becomes a traceable reference layer underneath your strokes — great for practicing proportions, portraits, or working from a real-life reference.

SAVE, EXPORT & SHARE
Every project lives right on your device — name it, rename it, and come back to it anytime. When you're ready to share, export a flattened PNG for Messages or Photos, or a re-importable project file you (or a friend with PocketKnife Art) can open and keep editing.
