Now it’s extremely tricky to search for a channel in a separate app and then come back just to add it in a group ### 2/5 — Safari extension? *2025-04-29* It would be nice if Pocket Tube would be available as a Safari extension. Then all of sudden it started to tell me to log in my YouTube and link the account. My account was already logged in and linked. Couldn’t fix the bug no matter what I try. Had to give it up. Try to check it on the latest tab. ### 3/5 — Good, but… *2024-07-06, version 2.0.43* I came across this when I realized that you couldn’t organize subscriptions directly on YouTube, so this does help fill that void, but there are a couple minor tweaks that would make it way better. First, when on the iPad (where I watch most of my YouTube) if you click on a video in landscape mode and it starts playing in the app, you have to switch it to portrait mode in order to go back to the last screen. Secondly, it would be nice to be able to sync devices and keep updated on new/old subscriptions. I understand not being able to sync desktop and the mobile app being different interfaces, but after I sorted everything on my iPad I downloaded the app on my iPhone and none of the categories applied. Anyway, it’s a great concept, just could use a little improving, so I hope there’s an update soon! ### 4/5 — Great extension but support seems to be halted at the moment. *2023-08-31, version 2.0.43* .. ### 3/5 — should make it a safari extension just like the pc version. *2022-11-01, version 2.0.41* title says it all, would be nice if it would work as a safari extension and have all the features that you would have on desktop, but in your pocket. ### 2/5 — Groups are not syncing from desktop *2022-08-10* This app is cool but it doesn’t sync groups created on desktop to this app. Only channel list is showing up and it is asking to create new group list on mobile app. **Developer response:** You should use Google Drive to sync data between devices. 1. On the extension side, click on the extension icon(top-right corner) -> Open the Backup tab and enable Sync with Google Drive. 2. On the phone side, you should open the latest tab and link to the same Google Drive account there. ### 3/5 — does not load all my subscriptions *2022-07-28* PocketTube is useful on desktop, but this app seems to give up trying to load my (admittedly large) list of subscriptions somewhere in the I‘s, so it’s not usable for me. **Developer response:** It's restricted by YouTube for large lists, we have workaround it on a desktop, but not in the app ### 5/5 — Deserves Higher Rating *2022-03-04, version 2.0.35* This app is just what I was looking for, and it works fine for me! Thank you to the developer for putting this together, I sincerely appreciate it. I have sorely missed this feature and YouTube for years, so having an alternative like this is truly the next best thing. It always says “Get my YouTube subscriptions”, doesn’t load channels or videos. Just to be sure, I deleted the app & data, re-downloaded and re-linked YT and GDrive. Same issue, the app does absolutely nothing now. This is perfect! I only needed a simple little bit of help and now with about 20 different categories, on evenings I’d like to look at history channels, it’s at my fingertips.
