But I know it is there because I pay you to host it. The only way to access it is through a direct specific link. It’s ridiculous. Also, more than half the time this app does not interact well with Apple CarPlay. ### 1/5 — It’s a trap! *2026-08-09, version 6.5.5* I signed up for the free trial. Afterward, I attempted to cancel the subscription because I knew I wouldn’t use it much to justify paying for it. I have requested to cancel multiple times now, and still no response from their customer service. It’s 4 months later and they’re still charging my credit card and ignoring my cancel requests. I will have to take other actions. It sucks, because while the platform is awesome, their customer service is horrible and totally non-existent. ### 1/5 — Broken search bar and missing downloads *2026-08-05, version 6.5.5* Recently updated the app due to the search box not working. My episode isn’t playing due to a systems error on their end. With the cost per month to have this platform for my show, I expect better service. Not recommended! ### 1/5 — Too many restrictions *2026-06-25, version 6.5.4* This app has gotten worse over time. Hard to add podcasts and edit podcast follows on the website and can’t add new podcasts on the site. It insist that I do everything on my phone which is annoying and inefficient when I have the site opened in a tab in my browser on my mac. ### 1/5 — Illegal account *2026-06-23, version 6.5.4* I did not create this and am being charged $107 for something I was not a part of. I did not even know what Podbean was until I got my credit card statement that showed a charge. This is a fraudulent account and Podbean is not taking it very seriously. Identity theft is a BIG deal!!! ### 1/5 — Horrible Customer Service *2026-06-18, version 6.5.4* Once you upgrade your service you aren’t allowed to downgrade to a cheaper plan. You have to completely delete your account and all content and start over. Sometimes when my cohost and I record, we can’t hear the other person in the playback as well. It’s been discouraging and we are looking to leave Podbean and use a different service. I’ve paid for an upgrade twice, one is $40 a month and I still don’t have enough credits to do AI editing each time. ### 1/5 — This app has really gone downhill in the last few years *2026-06-16, version 6.5.4* I have been using this app for years, and it has really gone downhill lately. Now it has ads in the user interface even if you pay the annual subscription fee. It doesn’t handle basic functionality well, such as letting you manage when episodes get downloaded. It’s a pain when you discover new podcasts that already have a lot of old episodes. There are features that simply don’t work.
